We are genuinely disappointed to read this review, particularly given the very different experience communicated to us throughout this guest’s stay. The guest was hosting clients at our property, and although our standard check-in time is 4:00 PM, we gladly accommodated his entire group with complimentary early check-in, allowing everyone to arrive at their convenience that day. The guests expressed appreciation for our hospitality, including thanking us for the coffee provided. Throughout their stay, the guests interacted directly with our property manager and never reported a single issue regarding the refrigerator, gates, safety, or communication. Our management team was available, and we were never given an opportunity to investigate or address any of the concerns now being raised. It was only after checkout, when we submitted a documented damage claim for significant damage to the back of a couch, that these complaints surfaced. The property was personally inspected by the owner prior to their arrival. Following checkout, the damage was discovered, photographed, and submitted directly to Vrbo through its established claims process. We also want to reassure future guests that we do not charge for normal wear and tear or minor household issues. Across our three vacation rental properties, we file damage claims only once or twice a year. Guests are offered an optional damage protection plan to help cover accidental damage during their stay. We understand that accidents happen, and our goal is never to penalize guests. However, when significant damage occurs, we have a responsibility to document it and follow the appropriate claims process. We respect every guest’s right to share their experience. However, we believe it is important for future travelers to understand the sequence of events surrounding this review. The concerns described were never communicated during the stay and surfaced only after the damage claim was filed. We take tremendous pride in our properties, our hospitality, and the experience we provide. We consistently go above and beyond to accommodate our guests, as we did with this reservation, and encourage prospective travelers to consider our overall history of guest satisfaction when evaluating this review.

We try to be clear in the description on the site. As you stated it really does work great for a couple with children. Thank you for staying with us and being our valued guest!

Thank you so much for the 4 star review. It was unfortunate that there was an issue with the refrigerator upon check in. It was quickly remedied. We do have a full extra refrigerator downstairs that was able to be used. The chairs are usable even though there are a few slats missing. New ones are on order and should arrive soon. We appreciate the feedback as the guest experience is of the upmost importance . We also appreciate their understanding when an unexpected repair needs to take place.
