OVERVIEW: This Lake house is a two story, 4 BR, 2 Bath home, with an open concept living room, dining room and modern kitchen downstairs and all the Bedrooms upstairs.

BEDROOMS: Spare Bedroom 1 sleeps two comfortably in a queen slay bed. Spare Bedroom 2 is equipped with 1 queen bed. Spare Bedroom 3 is equipped with a set of bunk beds. The Master Bedroom is equipped with a King Bed, walk-in closet, and sliding door exit to the top deck.

BATHROOMS: The master bathroom is recently renovated. It is quipped with duel sinks, granite countertops, tiled backsplash, and enlarged shower tub. The 2nd bathroom is on the 1st floor.

OUTDOOR LIVING: You will enjoy a spacious and well landscaped outdoor living area. The two story deck is a perfect place to relax and watch the sun go down. The large fire pit cement pad is a perfect place to relax on a cool night and roast marshmallows. The sunset view is amazing from any point on the property. The lot is generally flat and covered with lush green grass therefore perfect for a game of corn hole.

Well equipped and clean cabin on a protected bay. Excellent quality and quantity of bluegill and crappie in lake. Short drive to a small town with grocery store and necessities. Overall an ideal place to spend time with family lakeside.

Family Fishing Get-Away

We were very pleased with our stay at Sunset View. The host and property manager were both very accommodating and answered any questions we had. We will definitely be contacting them if we plan to stay in the area again. The house was big enough for 8 adults.

Perfect

House was perfect for 4 adults and 4 kids. Got to see plenty of wildlife in our lake area. Renting the boat was a must. Best way to enjoy a good swim and the larger lake. Fishing was pretty good as there are a lot of spots to try your luck. Missy the property manager was great. Fast to answer calls, text or to check and make sure we had a great time. Had a little issue with a leak in gas line of boat. She got us a rental until it was fixed and was amazing during whole process.

Roomy house with great views

A lovely house with plenty of bedrooms and space. The sunset each night is spectacular, and watching the ducks , geese, swan, and turtles was amazing. Convenient boat rental right outside back door!

Great outdoor space!

The house was very clean and there was lots of room. Great open concept kitchen/dining/living room/patio for a family weekend or getaway with friends. The outdoor space is fantastic. Massive deck with multiple levels, and we enjoyed the fire pit area and dock too. Would definitely stay here again!

Beautiful sunsets

My family enjoyed the setting of this home. The sunsets were fantastic. My daughters and I enjoyed the area shopping for unique finds. Lake Webster is more a fishing lake than a swimming lake but we enjoyed cruising on the pontoon boat. We were very comfortable in this home.

Great Memorial Day

Very nice home, clean, comfortable and peaceful. Nicely decorated and recently redone. Beautiful sunsets and nice neighbors. Property manager was exceptional.

Fabulous Location

This is the perfect place to relax, enjoy a lake view and do some fishing off the pier. And has an added bonus of a pontoon and kayaks available for rent at a very reasonable cost. The bedrooms are comfortable with ceiling fans and soft sheets. It is a bit quirky that the room with the bunk beds can only be accessed thru the main bathroom but it wasn't a problem. We especially appreciated the high capacity washer and dryer and the outside gas grill and plan on returning!

Family Fishing Trip

Our stay was fantastic from the moment that we walked in to the very clean and well furnished home. All necessary supplies were available including towels, utensils and bedding. I met with the owner prior to booking to ensure that it was going to be OK for my elderly Father; John was super accommodating and easy to deal with. We had a fire in the fire pit almost every night and there was plenty of firewood. What a great location and setting. I highly recommend and will be back!

Nice place. Loved the view

We stayed here for girls weekend. Enjoyed the stay. Only drawback was a scheduled appointment with the property manager. Information shard could have been in a binder so we didn't have yo meet. we did not use the boat so a binder would have been appreciated to avoid having a meeting.

Great little lake, nice house

Unfortunately, we did not have the best weather for our week at the lake. The house was comfortable and fairly priced. The kitchen had a lot of dishes, but no frying pan? The internet service was great and we had access to Netflix, etc., which helped, as we were stuck in the house a lot because of the rain. Missy was great to work with and was very responsive to all my texts, for general questions.

Overall pretty happy with stay

Overall we were pretty happy with our stay. We arrived at check in and the rental was clean and ready for us. The interior and exterior were both pretty nice. The property manager gave us a walkthrough and she was really nice. She did let me know upon arrival that the bottom lock of the only door isn’t activated by the entry code and asked not to lock it. On the second day of our stay one of the members of our party out of habit locked that bottom lock leaving the house and the property manager didn’t have a key to access it so we have to wait on a lock smith to get back in. My only complaint is that it seems very silly for the property manager not to have a key to the property this truly makes no sense to me. Other than that the only other issue was the owners didn’t do a very good job of tying down their personal boat and it stormed and almost blew away the first day luckily we caught it before it was gone. Aside from those small issues we were happy with our stay and would recommended this property, the property manager and owners of the property to anybody reading this review.

Midnight in Mermadia

We enjoyed our winter stay in the mermaid-themed lakefront cottage. It is a beautiful location with lots of space, plenty of parking, and a really nice kitchen at a great price. Our few complaints were that there is no longer any wifi there, there were no extra rolls of toilet paper, and the bunk bed room is noisy with the water heater in the corner. We were required by the VRBO website to pay for extra insurance against damage greater than the $500 security deposit. New kitchen accessories and a hair dryer also would be good additions.

Family Fishing Dream

We arrived a bit late but the agent who met us was friendly and efficient. The house was beautiful, and much larger than we expected. It was very clean and there were plenty of paper supplies and towels. We also rented the pontoon boat. There was plenty of sleeping spots for the 7 of us. The directions for checking out were simple. The owner was responsive prior to our rental, especially with all the questions we had. The agent that we met answered our two questions while renting promptly. My granddaughter caught a fish right at the dock! We enjoyed the fire pit each evening. We enjoyed relaxing and found ourselves not wanting to leave. We will definitely recommend this rental to our friends.

Webster Lake Review

The stay was nice and access to the lake was perfect! The feedback I'd like to provide is that it didn't seem as if the place was entirely ready for our arrival. Here's why I say this: 1. The towels/some sheets were still in the dryer and wet. 2. There were no paper towels provided. 3. There was no soap for showers. 4. The kayaks were filthy with dirt, spiders, leaves and we had to clean them out before use. 5. No adult life jackets were available - borrowed from neighbor. 6. The child life jackets were filthy with dirt and were very old. Overall, the stay was nice and happy we rented!

Great home but come prepared

The house was great and there was alot of space for our whole family. The location is wonderful and we love being so close to the lake. If you are planning on cooking bring all of your utensils and cookware! The house does not have very much along that line. While we were there the washer broke I called the Missy (property manager) and she called the repairman to come out. Missy was wonderful and gave me updates through the whole process. Unfortunately the repairmen couldn't fix it so we had to go to the laundromat to do everything. Missy was so nice and reimbursed us (plus some) for our laundry trips! I was a little confused on why VRBO said the Kayaks were available but contract I signed at the house said we were not allowed to use them. That would have been a nice plus to have. The house definitely needs some tlc in the cleaning and repairs department so don’t expect it to be perfect. The back deck was so big and spacious for everyone to be on and the view was great! This was our first big family vacation in over 18 years and the whole family ended up having a great time! Thank you Missy and John!

Peaceful location on the lake

This property provided a needed place for us to gather with family and friends to safely catch up and relax during this crazy Covid time. We truly enjoyed the peaceful spot on the lake and use of the boat for our stay. This is a large property with excellent space. The first floor is completely open with a full view of the lake out front. The kitchen, dining and living space worked very well for our group of 7 to cook, visit and enjoy the breeze and view of the lake. The furniture is different than what is pictured and was very comfortable. The kitchen has nice new appliances. It should be noted that the only things provided in the kitchen were hand sanitizer and dishwasher detergent. There were some small trash bags and salt and pepper but no other supplies. This was not unusual, just helpful to know when packing. All bedrooms were good size and had comfortable beds. As others have mentioned, the bunk room is strangely located on the backside of the upstairs bathroom. This requires some planning to make sure that no one is “trapped” in the bedroom while the bathroom is in use. It wasn’t a problem, just something to note. There was plenty of TP and some hand soap available in the bathrooms. We enjoyed the outside space with the covered deck. We used the fire pit and wood provided by the owner every night during our stay. The fire pit is also different than pictured. It has quality Adirondack chairs in place of the benches which were a nice upgrade. Overall, it was a good place. There were little maintenance/upkeep/cleanliness items that needed attention to make it a great place. The property manager, Missy was very responsive to the items that we brought to her attention. Other things we just overlooked or took care of ourselves during our stay.

Enjoyed our stay over-all... The house needs a good cleaning, mouse droppings under sinks, fire pit was so full of grass and crap and had to clean it out before we could even get a fire going!! The vents/filters in stairs was really dirty and so was the fan in master bedroom...Floors were durty, house really needs a good cleaning... Enjoyed the lake and pontoon tho...

My wife and I both grew up in the midwest. I went to school in Missouri and my wife grew up and attended school near Indianapolis. We met in Indianapolis while I was finishing my degree at IUPUI. We moved up north for work in 2009 and found ourselves drawn to the northern lake life. Within a year, we were making our first joint house purchase. Unfortunately, our work took us back to indianapolis after 5 short years. At first we did not think that we would keep the lake house for many reasons but soon found that we were finding reasons to go up there every weekend we could get away.
