Private garden apartment in historic Uptown house. Please note, this apartment is on the ground level of the property.

Large bedroom, large bathroom with custom shower, and large open living, dining, and kitchen area. All brand new, stainless appliances. Double sleeper sofa. Walk three doors down to St. Charles to catch the streetcar down to the French Quarter, take a walk or jog on the Mississippi River Trail or to Audubon Park, walk three blocks to endless shopping and eating on Maple St (and venture just a few blocks farther to even more options on Oak St). Minutes from Tulane and Loyola Universities. And after a long, hot day exploring NOLA, enjoy a refreshing dip in our heated pool!

We live upstairs and are generally around and will be as available as our guests would like. We love to eat at local restaurants, listen to music, etc. and love to share what we love about our city with visitors. We have a book of restaurants and a list of things to do in New Orleans in the apartment.

The apartment was clean and cozy. The kitchen was probably the best equipped kitchen we have had in a rental...lots of dishes, silverware, glasses, cups, pots and pans etc. The outside patio was fantastic. The pool wasn't usable but it was Christmas so we really didn't miss it. Our host was not home but he was quick to answer any messages I sent.

A week in the Riverbend

Thank you for a great stay! We used to live just 2 blocks away and we greatly enjoyed being back in our old stomping grounds. Just steps away from family and friends for us! The pool was an amazing time as well and it wasn’t even summer yet! Thanks again!

Chillin in Nola

It was a unique arrival in NOLA with my bulldog Nola, sliding around on Carrollton Ave. to St. Charles then to Short Street. The garden apartment was snug and welcoming despite the snow around the pool and covering the lounge chairs. The weather warmed up quickly and we took advantage walking in the beautiful neighborhood and in the park, on the levee and down in the garden district. The apartment was so comfortable, enjoyed morning coffee planning each day's activities. All amenities ensured a comfortable stay. Marianne decorated their beautiful home in Mardi Gras regalia and no doubt she and Sascha will enjoy the season. I'd love to come back for more time next year!

Great place for a getaway.

Very comfortable, amenities adequate for needs. Apartment was clean, but the outside area could use some tidying up. Loved the pool which was a daily relief, especially given the triple digit heat index while we were there. If you want a great location, this is it no matter how you like to get around. Many places within walking distance. Also right by the street car or a close drive to freeways and major thoroughfares. Hosts are welcoming but also give a feeling of privacy as if you're in your own home. Would definitely stay here again next time we're in town.

Cozy Apartment

We had a fantastic stay at this basement apartment in New Orleans! The location was perfect—just a short distance to the Garden District, with several great restaurants nearby and the tram line only a few steps away, making it incredibly easy to get to get around. We appreciated being away from the hustle and bustle of downtown, and the neighborhood was peaceful and quiet, which made our stay very relaxing. The pool was wonderful! The cozy apartment had everything we needed, and the hosts were a pleasure to deal with—welcoming and helpful. We highly recommend this place for anyone looking to enjoy the charm of New Orleans without staying in the busy downtown area. without staying in the busy downtown area!

Quiet and Private

I enjoyed my stay. I was in town attending a conference and working. The space is quiet away from partying and loud noises. This was wonderful. The owners are a treat to communicate with. I loved that the laundry detergent they provided was scent free and that the space did not have any scents to freshen the place up. Sometimes those are too much. I say this even though the space had a bit of a musty smell at first. I'd rather have that than tons of scents trying to mask it. The smell did go away after the first day or so. For my purposes the internet was a bit slow but I image others are there to vacation and not work. Due to my work I did not have time to enjoy the pool or the outdoor area. The owners provide a lot of information for the restaurants in the area; that was useful. Lots of good food in the immediate area and of course over in the French quarter. This place is right by a street car line. I enjoyed that immensely. Overall a good space to stay

Wonderful Location

This was our 1st trip to New Orleans in over 30 years that either myself or my husband didn’t have to work. The location is amazing. Hosts were very welcoming & helpful. Apartment was just as pictured. Very clean. Would book again.

Basement a cute getaway

Can’t beat the location…great food and shops as well as streetcar stop within walking distance. Owners very helpful when we had questions after check in. 15 min drive to attractions. Not sure if pool in private backyard accessible to us but worth asking. Nice covered patio area to hang out. Only drawback: The air seemed damp and stale inside but opening windows and using the dehumidifier helped a great deal. Didn’t hinder our enjoyment.

Nice Location

Very elegant historical area and many restaurants within walking distance. Comfortable and quiet location tp spend a weekend. The kitchen was well stocked with everything you require for cooking and the bed was very comfortable.

Good place to stay

Pros: The basement apartment that we rented was dated but pretty clean. Great location really close to the trolley pickup, Walgreens, and a few really yummy restaurants. The area is gorgeous. Cons: The bed was uncomfortable. It felt old and squishy. The bedding wasn’t cozy. Cheap and thin.

Great Location and quiet neighborhood

Stayed here the weekend after Mardi Gra and had a great time. Short drive to most places, short walk to the St Charles line, and easy walk to nearby restaurants. Owner was out of town but gave excellent instructions and had the place ready for us. They had a cleaner come in and get it ready beforehand and we met their landscapers while we were there. They take care of the property. Living space is cozy and we had no issues during our stay.

Great Apartment!

We had a really great 6 day stay at this apartment. Everything was really nice: great shower, excellent bed and sheets, fully stocked kitchen. We usually cook 1 or 2 nights, but not in a city like New Orleans, with so many wonderful restaurants near by. We brought our bikes and it was an easy 20-30 minute ride to anywhere we wanted to go. Would have used the pool if it had been warmer. Loved walking around the neighborhood. Thanks for a great stay!

Perfect place to launch bike trips

I loved this apartment. It’s ground floor, under the back deck of a gorgeous house. The apartment is modern and incredibly well equipped kitchen wise. It opens to the bricked back yard which has a swimming pool. The neighborhood is mostly single family interesting New Orleans houses, some modest , some mansions. It is very easy and safe walking distance ( though mind the sidewalk upheavals due to the giant live oak roots) to quite a few different restaurants. It’s also steps away from the bike path that runs on the levee next to the Mississippi and an easy bike ride to the zoo. Also its very close to the trolley stop to take that to the French Quarter. I was traveling by myself as a much older woman and i felt fine here. Would definitely stay again.

Excellent location!

This apartment was the perfect size and in the perfect location for us! It’s close to wonderful restaurants, the trolley line and Audubon park which has a great golf course, walking/biking trails and the zoo. A great stay!
