Havasu weekend

We had a wonderful time during our stay! The neighborhood was peaceful and there is a beautiful view of the lake from both the front yard and back yard. We don’t usually sleep well when we’re away from home but the beds were comfortable so we got good sleep which is always a plus:)

Disappointed

Clean, but outdated. Very old TV in Master which did not work. We followed the directions to turn on lights by first using the switch on the wall, however, the lamp on left side of bed in Master was not functional, nor was a floor lamp in the living room. There was no laundry soap or fabric sheets provided. Although the host indicated that there has never been a problem with the glass dining room table, we were very concerned that the glass tabletop was not secured to the table legs, as this could potentially be a safety issue if someone leans too heavily on the table when getting up.

Drove 240 Miles to Serve as Maid/Cleaning Service

My family and I (a group of 7 adults) rented this house in celebration of my sister’s 50th birthday and we were all excited to get on with this milestone celebration. Instead, we walked into a house that was in complete disarray and had not been cleaned. There were dirty sheets and towels left everywhere in every room with beer in the fridge, dirty utensils and dishes, and a greasy-splattered stove top. We found utensils and dishes with caked on dried food put away with supposedly clean dishes. The trash bins were full of beer cans and pizza boxes. I have rented homes for 10 years with Home Away and never has my family encountered a house in such a disgusting mess. It started with the lockbox code not working and standing for 2 hours in 113-degree weather waiting to get in. I only received the owner number through the previous contact whose name was on the email. She told me she didn’t manage the rental but gave me the owner’s number. The owner finally told us to pick up a key from a next door neighbor after 2 hours of multiple emails and a call stating that he was calling someone to come with a key. Why didn’t he say that in the beginning?! Checkin is at 4 and when we finally got access to the house after 6, we found the house had not been cleaned. With Covid19, it’s a very real concern that the house was NOT sanitized. We found broken items and the sliding glass door open and the patio furniture in disarray. We could not find another house last minute and could not go to a hotel since we brought food to cook. So my family deliberated about next steps and decided to make the best of it and the entire family pitched in and cleaned the house top to bottom, washed the sheets and went out and purchased toilet paper. Luckily I brought trash bags, paper towels and Clorox wipes. While we did pay to rent the house, CLEANING AND STOCKING the rental was not a part of the agreement. We left the house in better condition than how we found it. However, the trash cans were full and overflowing because the trash was not taken away from previous renters. The house was comfortable and roomy for 7 adults but a bit misleading since the sofa is not a full pullout bed for a fully grown person. VRBO uses Evolve Vacation Rental to manage properties and the supervisor from Evolve emphatically stated Evolve is not in a position of refunding. So both Evolve AND the owner indicated they’re not accountable for refunds!

Beautiful

Very clean and roomy could of had a updated TV in the master bed . We couldn't use it so everyone had to huddle in the living room and the kids didn't have any TV either . Other than that is was very relaxing and enjoyable 😉

Great house! Comfy beds.

The check in was easy. House was clean. Beds were comfy. One small spot in the master carpet, otherwise house was spotless. Master shower need a new head but everything else worked great!

missing items

we got there; unlocked; walked in & unpacked.....couldn't figure out TV system so had to call mgr....then looking for bath towels--just a small mixed assortment....I looked in linen closet, both bathrooms, every drawer & FINALLY I found two towels, facecloths in the dryer----not the way it should be when you enter a rental!!!!!!!!!!! No shampoos, kleenexes, hand lotion, any of those little things that we had NOT brought along thinking they would all be by the bathroom, as they are ALMOST ALWAYS!!! I saw a broken plantation shutter & immediately took a picture of it and texted it to the mgr so she wouldn't think we did it & she says '''we know, but we're having a hard time getting it fixed'''!!!

Nice home and great location

Nice clean home with split layout. The only negative this is the TV in the master bedroom is literally an old tube TV with rabbit ears. So if watching TV in bed is important this might not be the rental for you. Otherwise a nice place for the price.

Comfortable house

The house is comfortable. Needs a professional cleaning tile and carpeting were extremely dirty! Raya the house manager came over and cleaned the carpet while we were there. Advertised HD television with cable the tv was an old tube television that you could not get a picture. We complained and the house manager worked it out with the owner and delivered a new television. Kitchen did not have enough plates or silverware. There was no hair dryer as advertised. I bought and left 6 plates and a hair dryer and left it at the house for future renters. Overall the house was comfortable and just needs some TLC.

Great time in Havasu!!!

I would definitely stay at this house again. All of my families needs were met, from having a washer and dryer, to being able to cook breakfast for my family before our adventures for the day. We will return. Thank you.

Gold Dust getaway

The property is clean, spacious and comfortable. The home is well furnished and has a friendly feel. The neighborhood is quiet and has very little traffic, great for morning walks. Our property contact was frequently in touch and made sure we were had no issues. We highly recommend this property for a getaway in Lake Havasu.

Very outdated

House was clean enough and contact person was great but the home is VERY outdated and does not have very many amenities. TV cable does not work at all and there aren’t even coffee cups big enough to hold the coffee from the keurig. The toilet paper is also like cardboard and as thin as they possibly could make. We’ve stayed in several VRBO houses here in Havasu as well as many other places and this place was a disappointment. Also, check out at 10am seems a bit early. Would definitely not stay here again!

Comfortable home setting

Home was exceptionally clean. Nice patio area to watch the sunset. Limited access to television channels. Access to the Wi-Fi was non-existent! Great house for getting to know the family and lots of conversation

Perfect summer retreat

This property was perfect for our trip to Lake Havasu. It was close to stores and the launch ramp which is huge for us. It was great to lay our heads down after a day out on the lake. It was clean and the property manager was a text away if we needed anything. I would definitely stay there again.

The house was beautiful easy to find and close to where we wanted to be. The upsetting part is I paid $150.00 for cleaning fees and they didn't even have the toilet paper stocked.
