Whispering Pines is a beautiful, cozy, RELAXING and luxurious 2 bedroom, log cabin located in Sherwood Forest, a gated resort that boasts the very BEST VIEWS of the Smokies!!! We are very conveniently located between Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge. DOLLYWOOD and most major attractions are all a very short drive, less than 10 minutes away. After a wonderful night's sleep in one of our EXTREMELY COMFORTABLE king size beds, begin your day by enjoying a starter complimentary morning coffee brewed either from the Keurig or make an entire pot. Then, watch the sun come up and take in the SPECTACULAR VIEWS of the Smokies. Enjoy the relaxing Hot Tub on the wraparound deck or the indoor Jacuzzi all year through or the resort offers all guests a swimming pool in the warmer months. Whispering Pines has been such a wonderful blessing for our family and we are truly SO GRATEFUL we get to share it!!

For your protection and our property, there is one Video Surveillance camera monitor facing the parking area.

Whispering Pines offers: TWO COMPLETELY PRIVATE king bedrooms with doors that are separate from other living spaces (we do however have a sleeper sofa with a memory foam mattress located in the den), two fireplaces, each located in the den and master bedroom, a master bedroom Jacuzzi, a hot tub and 3 king wooden rocking chairs with a side table on a large, covered wrap-around deck to enjoy the gorgeous views, a gas grill, a fully stocked kitchen with beautiful granite counter-tops, refrigerator w/ice maker, stove/oven, a Keurig and a regular coffee maker, crockpot, blender, toaster, dishwasher, washer/dryer, a loft area with a 5 CD changer stereo, bistro table, board games and pool table, 42” flat screen TV for gaming and flat screen TV's in both the bedroom and 50" flat screen Smart HDTV with a BluRay DVD player in the living room all equipped with a full cable package (top tier movie and sports channels), a DVD library and Free Wifi.

Kurig did not work, no soap, and Christmas decorations were still up at the end of March. The hot tub and other parts of the cabin need some attention. We will not be coming back.

Hi Greg, Thank you for your feedback. I’m sorry to hear about your experience. To clarify, basic toiletries are provided for the first day or two, and additional supplies can always be requested during your stay. Regarding the coffee maker, we keep three coffee pots in the cabin to ensure guests have alternatives in case one does not work. Our cabin and hot tub are thoroughly cleaned and maintained to meet standards for every new guest. We will certainly review your comments with our team to ensure everything is in proper working order. We appreciate you staying with us and sharing your feedback.

Unfortunately, upon arrival the house had a profoundly powerful chemical smell likely related to monthly exterminator/insect control treatments the homeowner maintains as detailed by the homeowner in another review from 2024 where another renter experienced a very similar situation as us. Oddly, we arrive and the home is not secure as the front door is ajar with the ceiling fan running. We enter the home and within minutes feel our eyes burning and throats itchy. Breathing in this home was difficult and we had to abort our stay and scramble to find an alternative. Furthermore, the profile pictures capture a house that appears much nicer than in reality. The house is fairly worn and a bit funky overall. The driveway is extremely steep/challenging to park.

Dear Darren, Thank you for your feedback. I’m sorry your experience did not meet expectations and regret any inconvenience caused. Guest comfort and safety are always my top priorities. As soon as you raised the concern, I promptly offered to send my cleaning team to inspect and address the issue. Unfortunately, this offer was declined, which limited my ability to investigate or resolve the matter during your stay. For context, the guest who checked out on the same day as your arrival did not report any odor or related concern. Additionally, the next guest who stayed for five nights after your departure also did not report any such issue. Our routine pest control service was completed on March 10, well before your arrival. While the cabin is not brand new, it is well-maintained and offers a warm, homey feel, as reflected in many positive guest reviews. Although I was unable to verify the concern firsthand, A refund was issued in good faith. I believe I made every reasonable effort to address the situation promptly and fairly. Beautiful and private cabin with comfortable beds and clean facilities. Hot tub was sanitary and relaxing on our chilly Tennessee evenings! Kitchen was equipped with pots, pans, plates, cups, and utensils. Pillows could have been better, or at least had protective covers over them for sanitary reasons. Otherwise, we have zero complaints and will most definitely stay here again and share our positive experience with others.

Absolutely beautiful cabin. Great communication with Somya. We had a wonderful week. ONLY complaint, the trees really need to be trimmed because the view of the gorgeous Smoky Mountains is blocked for the most part. The cabin would be perfect if it weren’t for the trees.
We even had visitors.

Pigeon Forge retreat

My husband and I wanted to get away for the weekend so we chose this cute cabin in the Sherwood Forest community. It’s very cute and the cabin was as expected from the pictures. The location is perfect for what we wanted to do and we had a great time. Would recommend and would stay here again!

Was a great property and stay. There were only a couple of items that need upgrade which would include the shower door upstairs and the tub on the main floor. Again, overall we loved the property and would definitely visit again.

We really enjoyed our stay here. It was far enough away from the strip to get in some relaxation, and close enough to everything we wanted to do. The property was clean and the owner was great. Would recommend!

The cabin was very clean, comfy and had beautiful views. The location was perfect for access to the national park and the community was peaceful. We will definitely consider staying again.

Whispering Pines is located in a quiet, resort setting with spectacular views of the Smokies!! You will feel like you are in the middle of the mountains yet we are only 1.3 miles from the Pigeon Forge Strip and the entrance to the Great Smoky Mountains National Park!! We are also ideally located between Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge and less than 5 miles from Dollywood. You will enjoy a relaxing hot tub on the deck overlooking Mt. LeConte, extremely comfortable beds with "SOFT" sheets, a pool table, full cable package on all 3 of our flat screen Smart HDTV's, a whirlpool bath in the master bedroom, two fireplaces, a fully stocked kitchen with a keurig coffee maker, a washer/dryer, a swimming pool in the summer months in a safe gated resort in one of the most convenient locations in the Smokies and of course AMAZING VIEWS!!!
