Villa Playa is a luxurious vacation rental house directly across the street from the Gulf of Mexico, located within the prestigious, gated, beach-front community of Destiny by the Sea. This home's impressive 5,010 sq.ft. interior and architecture, featuring stone columns and 12' foot ceilings accented by multi-tier crown molding and beautiful artworks, make this one of the most opulent homes in Destin. Guests can enjoy the private dip pool out back or walk to the large community pool and hot tub just a block away. The community beach access is also just steps away!

From the moment you arrive, you'll be greeted by a stunning exterior and the tasteful elegance of the new furnishings that adorn the interior. The first floor houses a bunk room and a king suite. The bunk room is furnished with two queen beds and four twin beds. It shares access to the hall bathroom with a standalone shower. The king suite includes a sitting area with a sectional sofa, flat screen TV, DVD player, and stocked bookshelves. It's the perfect lounging area for laid-back days. Guests can also step out to the private pool, accessed through the king suite. Rounding out the king suite is an en-suite bathroom with a combination shower/tub. Additionally, the first floor holds a large laundry room and a wet bar with accessories for preparing drinks and cocktails.

The second floor houses the home's main living areas, a half bath, and a king suite. The king suite offers a flat-screen TV, DVD, chair, and an en-suite bathroom with a combination shower/tub. The living areas include a gourmet kitchen, dining area, and living room. The dining area showcases a beautiful table with seating for all guests, surrounded by contemporary chairs that perfectly complement the overall aesthetic. The room is adorned with chic lighting fixtures, casting a warm and welcoming glow over your dining experience. The kitchen has been fully updated with state-of-the-art appliances, sleek countertops, and ample storage space. It's a culinary haven, ready to cater to your every need, whether you're preparing a simple breakfast or a gourmet feast. The combination of functionality and style makes it a joy to cook and entertain in this space. It is complete with Viking appliances and a gas cooktop on the center island. All necessary appliances are supplied including a standard coffee maker, Cuisinart coffee maker, toaster, rack, and more. Down a few steps, the living room features plush sofas and armchairs, perfectly positioned to create an inviting and comfortable atmosphere. Doors open up to the large balcony with peeking gulf views and a Blackstone outdoor gas griddle. There is also a large flat screen and Blu-ray player great for entertaining!

The third floor houses a double queen suite and spacious master suite. The double queen suite offers two queen beds, a flat-screen TV, and an en-suite bathroom with a combination shower/tub. The master suite is the most extravagant room in the home with a plush king bed, a large sitting area with a sleeper sofa, two flat screen TVs and a large balcony with partial views of the Gulf. The master bathroom is spa-like with a mirrored vanity, dual sinks, jetted tub, and a large shower with 6 shower heads.

All three floors of the home are serviced by an in-home elevator. Bikes are provided with the home throughout the year. From the meticulously chosen furnishings and fresh exterior paint to the thoughtful design and attention to detail, to all of the community amenities, Villa Playa provides the perfect backdrop for an unforgettable getaway. Most relaxing vacation ever!

This house had everything we needed. Location, secluded, security of a gated community and every amenity you could ask for. Check in/out was simple. We will definitely be back and let others know about this rental property. Perfect for large groups/families.

Great location, very well equipped house

We enjoyed our stay at Villa Playa, which was very well furnished from the half dozen+ bikes and beach umbrellas, chairs and toys in the garage (I wished I had known that ahead of time) and plentiful dishes, wine glasses, etc. However we could tell that the house was getting a lot of occupants throughout the summer. Not the cleanest house, clogged drains, inop range fan, weak internet, two queens on the top floor, not the 2nd floor as we understood it and a few other items. But no significant issues that impacted our stay significantly. The gated community, neighborhood pool and walking distance access to the beach made enjoying the location easy. The inside of the house, while comfortable, is not the most toddler friendly, with tile floors, sharp corners, etc...so you'll have to follow your small ones around.

House exceeded our needs

This place is fully stocked. Everything in kitchen you could need. Garage area had tons of toys, chairs, umbrellas for beach. Unlike a lot of rentals, this place had it all. Would highly recommend.

Destin Family Vacation

I stayed at Villa Playa with a family of 15. 1 8 year old and the rest were 18 up to 55. We had a great time and loved the house. The positives are the closeness to the beach. It is a very short walk across the street and it made it easy to go back and forth. There were many chairs, umbrellas and beach toys made available in a storage closet in the garage. There is also a second refrigerator in the garage that was very helpful with a big group of people. The house was well stocked with kitchen supplies and plenty of sets of packaged towels. More than enough for everyone. Although the pool is very small, it is great. We loved coming back from the beach and jumping in. The bedrooms are spacious and the beds were comfortable The biggest negative is the security in the neighborhood. Quiet time is 10pm and if you are making any noise at all on the balcony, the security guard will come by and threatened to fine you. A few nights there was a nice security guard , but several nights the guy wasn't very nice. The houses on all sides are very close and you can see right in each others windows. Overall, the house is great and I think you would enjoy your stay here

Worse house rented!!!

First of all, this house is in a gated neighborhood and you to go through a security check to get into the property. The security person at the gate was very rude. Our family arrives at different time and the security guy was giving us a hard time because he expected each car to have an entry tag to get in the gate. He follow us to the house to make sure we were guest there. The second problem was the parking. You can not park on the side of the street or blocking the side walk. We were told to move out cars because the tail of the car was slightly blocking the side walk. If you have multiple cars, good luck with the parking! Third, the swimming pool is tiny. The dimension is probably 4x7. We were expecting a bigger pool. Two people might be able to swim at a time. Also, in-order to get to the back yard, you have to go through one of the bedroom. If someone is occupying the bedroom, there is no way to get to the backyard. Fourth, there are multiple things broken in the house. Toilet downstairs were broken. We had to call someone to come fix it. The faucet in the bathroom in one of the room was broken. Last, this house is not meant for little kids. To get in the house, you will have to walk up some tile steps. Very steep, slippery and dangerous. Same problem when you are inside the house, there are steps connectiong the kitchen to the living room that were the same way. The security, parking and tiny swimming pool really ruin our vacation.

The Villa Playa was a gorgeous beach home just a short walk to the beach.

Our family reunion was blessed to share 2 homes during our stay in Destiny by the Sea. This home had the added bonus of having an elevator to navigate the 3 floors! The furnishings were marvelous and very comfortable throughout. My only recommendation would be to upgrade balcony furniture on the 3rd floor Master suite.

Perfect Get Home for 5 Couples!

We spent a week in this lovely home with 4 other couples. The bedrooms all have private baths and the beds are super comfortable! The kitchen had everything we needed to cook fabulous meals including a shrimp boil one night and green drinks every morning! This gated community is within walking distance from plenty of restaurants and the beach access is so very close! Bikes were a nice perk! We will definitely vacation in this home again!!!

Great for large groups!

Villa Playa was perfect for our large group ( we had 16 people). Beach access was easy, and we were able to go back and forth to the beach all day. Great layout, room for everyone. The 3rd floor balcony at sunset was our favorite, although we ate several meals on the 2nd floor balcony. A big plus for us was being able to walk to restaurants, and walk down the beach for happy hour. All the bikes were a plus, beach chairs and toys were provided. Great neighborhood, with hot tub and pool at the clubhouse. Kids enjoyed having 2 TV' s in the bunkroom, one for games , and one to watch.

Loved Villa Playa!

We just completed a week stay at Villa Playa. What a gorgeous home! It was everything it was advertised to be! The beautiful beach is just a few steps away and there are several great places to eat within walking distance. Enjoyed The Crab Trap and it is literally a very short beach walk away! The neighborhood is wonderful. Villa Playa is in a gated community and is safe and secure for the kids to walk or ride bikes. Many different sizes of bikes are provided! Villa Playa is beautifully decorated. Each bedroom is large with its own walk in closet and private bath. All bedrooms have Flat screen TVs. The family areas are big and spacious to enjoy a meal or card game. I am already planning a return trip to Villa Playa!

Fabulous home!

Magnificent home and a fabulous location! We had an amazing time celebrating our wedding anniversary at the luxurious Villa Playa. This home had everything we could want, beautifully decorated and all of the appliances are new and fresh. The gourmet kitchen is huge with plenty of room for entertaining. All of the bedrooms are spacious and beautifully decorated with private baths. The beach is easy to walk to just a couple hundred feet out the front door and there are several restaurants within walking distance (The Crab Trap is wonderful!) The home is equipped with bikes for all ages and we enjoyed morning rides through the neighborhood. We will most definitely stay here again, great location to the beach, great location for biking and a variety of restaurants within walking distance. Beautiful, can't wait to come back!

Two Family Vacation

We absolutely love Villa Playa. We have stayed there 2 consecutive summers and hope to do it again next summer. Our families include 4 adults, 2 young adults and 4 kids under 12. There was plenty of room for everyone and we never felt crowded. The location is excellent. We were a short walk to the private beach and could easily go back and forth throughout the day. The house is beautiful, very spacious and well maintained. We loved spending evenings relaxing on the patio listening to the ocean . I highly recommend!

Fabulous Home!!! Can't wait to come back.

What a perfect house!!! Villa Playa is exceptional and had ALL of the amenities....gourmet kitchen, gas grill, comfortable beds, flat screen TVs in every bedroom, etc. House came with bikes, beach chairs and umbrellas, and an extra refrigerator! Couldn't have asked for a nicer place to stay. The house was very clean and had everything you could want in a vacation home. There are several restaurants within walking distance and everything you want is nearby. Really loved being in a gated neighborhood with a pool and easy access to the private beach. We were very impressed and look forward to coming back.

September 2014

Just concluded my 4th vacation to this house and I couldn't ask for anything more. Its a 1.5 minute walk to the sand and another 1.5 minutes to the water. The beach is private so even during spring break you'll be able to get a spot on the beach. The garage has plenty of bicycles in it for kids or kids at heart and the garage closet has plenty of beach chairs, toys and a full size fridge/freezer to keep extra food & drinks in. The downstairs master bedroom has a private bar and access to the outdoor pool plus a large sectional for comfortable seating. The bunk room has beds for 6, 2 TV’s and an ihome so its perfect for kids. The are also several other ihomes throughout the house. The elevator makes it easy to unload luggage without having to drag your bags up the stairs. 2nd floor has a very comfortable outdoor seating area with a big stainless steel grill and a good view of the water. The living room can comfortably seat 10 with easy viewing of the big TV and the full size kitchen has Viking stainless steel appliances and plenty of dishes to accommodate the whole house. There are several restaurants within walking distance in case you didn't drive or rent a car and its 2-3 miles from Destin Commons which provides an ample amount of shopping. After staying here I can't really think of anything else I would ask for except to go to it more often; it really is a home away from home.

Wedding Crew

We were very pleased with our accomodations at "Villa Playa". The house was large enough to accomodate our wedding party and had all the ammenities we desired. The only recommendation I would have, would be an extra refrigerator. With a house this large and the amount of families that could stay here, it really needs more refigeration. We would definitely stay here again!

Destiny By The Sea

My family recently spent a week at this location. The pictures do not do it justice. The house was beautiful, clean and very accomodating for 22 guests. All the amedities were available The property was clean and very well-mantained. The beach location and access was excellent without the expensive price of the houses located directly on the beach. The beach is private which allowed us to just sit back, relax and enjoy. We have stayed at other locations in Destin and this by far was the best experience ever. All you need to bring is the food, swimsuits and beach towels. We reserved the house through Fivestar Beach Rentals, who provided EXCELLENT customer service. Highly recommend

Spring Break 2012

This is a fabulous house in a fabulous location! The house is very roomy and you don't feel like everyone is on top of each other. It has all the comforts of your own home. It is a very short walk to the beach! There are also some stores and restaurants within walking distance. They also have bicycles and beach chairs/toys for your use. This would be a great house for several families to rent together or for a big family reunion. The elevator makes it easy for elderly people to stay as well. We will definitely come back to this house!! I highly recommend this house!

New Years (2011/2012)!!!

What a fabulous house in Destin!!! We went with family over the New Year Holiday (2011/2012) with all age groups. Older parents loved the convenience of the elevator and the close walk to the beach. Also, within walking distance was the great food at the Crab Trap Restaurant! Home is fully stocked and all furnishings first class! Enjoy...we will be back again for sure!!!

For 50 yr olds and younger to come Playa in the Villa at Destiny by the Sea

My family of 11 ranging in ages from the 40's to the 80's were vacationing for the week. With regret, the property is not to be considered handicap accessible. There is no access from the 2nd floor elevator to the living room without walking down un-even marble stairs. The 1st floor queen bedroom that overlooks the pool is nice but the bed is very high, so a handicap person will have trouble plus the bathroom is a tub/shower combo. The pool is extremely cold because no sunlight comes into the pool area. The 1st floor bunkroom has 2 double lower bunks, 1 twin lower and 3 twin top bunks. The bathroom has a step in shower. The 1st floor has a nice "wine cellar" with a small refrigerator and some storage area. There are beach chairs, carts and toys in the storage room off the garage for you to use. The 2nd floor queen bedroom is nice and roomy. The kitchen is well laid out but lacks good pots and knives. If you like to cook I recommend bringing your own pots. The living room is roomy and welcoming with plenty of sitting room and a fireplace. Cablevision, music system and VCR/DVD unit are available for use. There are French doors off the living room with an eating table and Bar B Q pit and a smaller table so you can visit and hear the surf (if you open the doors..don't forget to turn off the ac on the 2nd floor). The staircase has about 20 wood stairs between floors which will firm you up by week’s end. The elevator needs to be replaced. The 3rd floor master bedroom is quite roomy and tastily decorated. It definitely needs a coffeepot though so I recommend bringing one if you like coffee first thing in the morning without having to descend 20 stairs. I also recommend letting the hot water run in the 4 shower head shower for about 15 minutes before getting in. Hot water is slow to come on the 3rd floor. The balcony has comfortable seating where you can "hide" and view/listen to the surf. The 3rd floor queen room is decorated very nicely with 2 QB's, both with full, high comfortable mattresses and a tub/shower combo. There is parking for 4 full-size cars or 6 smaller ones. The beach is basically 100 ft from the front door and the community pool and hot tub are a small walking distance away. There are multiple tile steps throughout the house and master bath shower is tile so I recommend a shower mat. I recommend the house for 50 and below age groups due to the design. This house was just what we needed for our daughter's wedding the whole family enjoyed the location and the house. The management company are WONDERFUL!!!!!
