The location was excellent close to town. Our host was excellent enjoyed meeting him he also provided us with all the details on the house and a very detailed map with recommendations on the Island. Most generous supply of Towels and everything we needed for spending long days on the beach and hiking the National parks.

AMAZING place to stay!! Location was awesome - overlooks beautiful Cruz Bay, and minutes away from restaurants and entertainment! The property manager and owners were so attentive, ensuring we had everything we needed for our stay. They even had a gorgeous fruit basket, cheese, crackers, and bottle of wine chilled upon our arrival! The cottage was clean, comfortable, and spacious. We will definitely be back!

An absolutely stunning and gorgeous property, perfect for 2 people with plenty of privacy and space to relax! The location is minutes from shopping, restaurants and downtown Cruz Bay. It’s also very close to all the north shore beaches. Couldn’t ask for better hosts who checked in with us regularly to ensure we had everything we needed. The welcome snacks and drinks were also such a nice touch after a long day of travel! 10/10 recommend to anyone looking for a beautiful place to stay in the perfect location with gorgeous views from the deck!!! Thank you so much for having us!!!

we would buy this place! It was even better than our expectations. The villa was clean and polished. they met us in town and led us to the villa. There was a beautiful basket of food (wine,cheese, fruit, ect.) waiting for us. We loved the view!

Week in Paradise

The best of the best! Would highly recommend. Jenna was great meeting us when our flight was delayed more than 4 hours and took us promptly to the property. Patty and Marcus are wonderful owners. The villa is perfect for two, it has everything you need more than you expect. The cleanliness of the property is outstanding.

Just perfect and exactly as advertised…the property manager was attentive and responsive, the location was ideal with unbelievable views, and clean as a whistle. We’re definitely returning to the “Sweet” again.

30th Anniversary

We so enjoyed our stay on St. John! Our accommodations were perfect for the two of us. Well nestled at the top of the hill in Cruz Bay. The view was beautiful easy access to downtown and off to our beach days and excursions. The villa was well appointed with extras we were not expecting! Our hosts helped us out along the way with recommendations and questions about the property. We would start our day with a gorgeous view, having coffee and breakfast on the deck, while coming back for happy hour to watch the sunset before we head out to dinner a wonderful way to spend your time, relaxing on the island. Can't wait to return and stay again! Thank you!PS.... the mattress could use a soft topper as it is a bit firm. But everything else was excellent!

Wonderful Place

Everything about "Sweet St. John" was perfect. Not only is the place beautiful with beautiful views, but the location was great, close to (but not to close) the Market and to downtown Cruz Bay. And the host, Marcus, exceeded our expectations, so thoughtful and helpful with anything. We will definitely return to this lovely property & Highly recommend it!

Most beautiful property we have ever rented!

Clean, gorgeous, accommodating host.. Nothing was lacking! We loved our stay and did not find ourselves lacking in anything with this villa. Perfect location, easy to get to and close to everything yet quite and peaceful with an outstanding view. Marcus is wonderful and eager to share tips/trips/things to do.

Beautiful view

The house was very updated and the view is great. The drive up the hill and driveway is very steep just be prepared. And it is gated. We enjoyed our stay. The only think is the bed was very firm and we don’t like firm mattress other then that everything else was great.

Perfect St John house!

We were beyond impressed with this property and with Marcus! The home was beautifully done with a beautiful view and awesome location. This was my third time to St John and I would absolutely stay here again! Marcus was so helpful with anything and everything...although the house was so great, we didn't even need anything. Highly recommend this property and property owner if you are going to visit the beautiful St John!

Sweet Vacation

I can not say enough about staying at the Sweet This is our second time there and there is not words to describe how awesome it is. Dealing with the host Marcus is awesome. He keeps the Sweet spotless communicates well and is very easy to approach and ask questions about St John The sunsets are to die for and the property is located in a great location which makes you feel very safe

This was our 30 year anniversary trip. This place "The Sweet" is absolutely spectacular in every way. Marcus and Patty have thought of everything to make your stay here fabulous !!! The view is breathtaking and I love cooking in this kitchen it has everything you could possibly need. This was our second time staying in Marcus and Patty's place and hope to return next year. We love St. John and love staying at "The Sweet".

"Sweet" Paradise!

We were fortunate enough to stay 10 nights at the "Sweet". What an incredible place - modern yet beachy, spotless and a great location with amazing hosts! We felt welcomed from the first email exchange after booking our stay. This was our 4th stay on the island and our first at the "Sweet". We won't stay anywhere else on St. John again. Thank you Marcus and Jena for helping to make sure our island vacation was all it could be! We will be back!

Sweet St. John Amazing

My wife and I stayed at Sweet St. John to celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary. The property looked great on VRBO and it totally lived up to our expectations. Marcus is an exceptional host and has an incredible attention to detail and gift for hospitality. The location was convenient to town and the ferries. This was our 4th trip to St. John and this property and this host made it the best one of all. I would highly recommend this property for a couple looking for a nice relaxing vacation. A+

Patty and I have lived on St. John for over 40 years. We sailed from Seabrook Texas in 1978, on a 35 foot sailboat for a Florida Keys, Bahamas, and Caribbean adventure. After completing a loop of the Caribbean, we realized St. John was the most unique and special island in the Caribbean. So, in 1982 we started a water sports company in Cruz Bay. We have since sold the company, but want to continue to offer our knowledge, “of the island of our choice”, with a new and upscale modern accommodation for our guests.

St. John is known as the Gem of the US Virgin Islands, and locally referred to as “The Beverly Hills of the Caribbean.” It is 2/3rds National Park, and has world famous beaches, ruins, hiking and snorkeling trials. The main town, Cruz Bay is very quaint and has a myriad of bars, restaurants and shopping areas. The island is very popular for boating trips, fishing, day sails, sunset sails, snorkel tours, scuba trips, parasailing, kayaking and British Virgin Island day trips. It is a very popular vacation destination with the majority of visitors, repeating year after year.
