Tranquility and Beauty on the River Front.

Our stay at Waterfront Vacation Rental Near Louisville was one of the most peaceful, relaxing vacations we have ever been on. The home is encased in windows that provide outstanding views of the river as well as the island across the way. The home has large rooms with high ceilings that provide a wide-open feel, and the decor is amazing! The owner is wonderful and easy to work with. We would love to stay at this waterfront rental again when we visit our kids in Kentucky!

River House

Property manager was very helpful even came to the house to help us connect to the WiFi. Lovely older home, stunning view of the Ohio River. Plumbing issues but the property manager had a plumber come in the day we checked out.

Perfect spot for our trip to the bourbon trail! The house was perfect and had amazing views of the river, would definitely stay again!

Buyer Beware

The exterior of the house is terrible, front and back. Weeds are taking over the front of the house and the back is covered in mildew. This house should not be rented again until some sprucing up is done. The inside was clean enough except for the white carpet throughout which was very stained. The bed pillows were tiny ( thankGod we brought our own!), the towels were cheap and sparse. Only one f the 3 bedrooms had a TV. The information for accessing the internet was incorrect and it took multiple phone calls and emails to the management company to get this issue resolved. The outside trash can was overflowing when we arrived. The view of the Ohio River was nice which is really the only nice thing I can say about this property.

Louisville Prospect stay

Tried 4 times to get in contact with Evolve property contact Susie. Twice by phone and twice by email. Hopefully next time I can see that it's being managed by a third party, so I avoid that rental. We had plumbing issues in all bathrooms. Master bathroom shower and sink drains were slow. Upstairs we found a handwritten note NOT to use the shower. The sink in the 1/2 bath would spray the wall when turned on. Amenities shows fireplace but noted in the rules given after rental that the fireplace was just for looks and NOT to be used. The view is amazing, and we really enjoyed that, but property is overpriced for what you get. Was located with easy access to retail, restaurants, and attractions.

Cool house, unresponsive manager

Sink didn’t work when we arrived on Friday. called the manager to ask for help. Didn’t receive any communication until Monday evening after we had left the property.

Peaceful riverfront property

Can't beat the river views from this property, my family and I loved watching the sunsets. The house had everything we needed and it was just a short drive to downtown Louisville.

Lovely home with great river view

We enjoyed staying in this lovely home while exploring Louisville. Sitting on the deck and watching the sunset and lightning bugs was a highlight. It was luxurious, clean, and comfortable. The kitchen was nicely equipped and spacious. Susie was a gracious hostess and communicated well with us.

Derby Weekend

The place was just what we needed for Derby weekend! It has a beautiful view and setting. The beds were so comfortable. Fully stocked with everything except dishwasher soap. Will definitely stay again if available.

Lovely House -- Some Issues

My family stayed at this lovely home on the Ohio River in March of 2021. The house is exactly as listed and in good condition. The neighborhood is quiet and allows wonderful access to the river and a private family experience. During our stay, we had a few issues...water heater failed, wifi password missing, and bugs. I will detail these below: Water heater -- after discovering the water heater was broken, we tried to reach out to the owner/host. The response time was not ideal...but after 1.5 days, the water heater was replaced. Thank you to the owner for this solution. Wifi Password -- same as above. Needed this password upon arrival and it took a full day to receive and get it working. Bugs -- unfortunately, the house (and apparently the neighborhood) have a problem with stinkbugs. I am not sure if this is seasonal, but we removed more than 40 bugs during our short stay. Much worse at night...as they are attracted to the indoor lights. Overall, the house is clean and updated. Nice beds, furnishings, and a good experience once we had hot water and wifi.

Even better than the pictures!

We loved staying in this home. The river views are calming and beautiful. The home is roomy and is even more attractive than the pictures do it justice. There is plenty of comfy furniture, and a nice large dining table. The kitchen is stocked with everything you need. The bedrooms are spacious, and the mattresses are very comfortable. The covered deck and fireplace are awesome! The light, bright soothing décor just lends itself to the overall good feeling in this home. I highly recommend you stay here. You won't be disappointed.

A great location

I met the owner upon check in. She was delightful and courteous. She also had a list of things to do in the area even with everything going on. I would highly recommend this place to anyone who is looking to explore Louisville. We were 25 minutes away from the city.

Not my idea of a vacation

We rented the property because of the location. It’s close to Louisville and on the Ohio River. The view is mostly blocked by trees, unless you’re looking north between 2 fallen trees. Could not watch fireworks because the view is obstructed by trees. The WiFi kept kicking us off, and we had to go elsewhere for free WiFi to make reservations for restaurants and distillery tours. TVs have Hulu, except we weren’t able to watch anything, kept getting kicked off. Master bedroom TV is in the closet on the floor. The dock has rotten boards and is unsafe to walk on. We didn’t have running water in master bathroom sink and shower is a very light mist. White carpet has area rugs scattered over carpet stains. Garage is not usable. Standard cars don’t fit, plus there are 3 garbage cans full of garbage in it. Owner charges a cleaning fee, while also requiring guests to strip beds, collect bathroom linens and take laundry to the laundry room, collect all trash and put it in the garage garbage cans, put all dishes in the dishwasher and run it. Not my idea of a vacation.

We loved it!

The House was great! Very comfortable and beautiful views. The bedrooms made such a difference with all 3 rooms very nice. Our favorite was the furniture especially sectional in the great room.
