Shorebirds 309 is fully equipped and furnished for 6 guests. 3 bedrooms ( king , queen, and 2 twins) comfortably making you feel special in your own beach home escape. Our condo is located on the top floor at the very end of the property - featuring amazing coastal valley & ocean views. No condo building next to you, just rolling sand dunes! Our condo was recently remodeled & beautifully decorated and is perfect whether you're looking for a quick weekend getaway or a "Staycation" on the beach - without the expense and hassles of distant travel. Pajaro Dunes, located equidistant from Monterey and Santa Cruz is an ideal location offering everything you need to relax & enjoy family & friends. This condo has amazing views facing Santa Cruz - Great for Sunsets!

This little piece of paradise offers a 1.5 mile of the most pristine, secluded beach where you may collect shells and sand dollars along the way.

Our home is part of a gated community, so you'll enjoy a secure & peaceful stay. You won't have to wonder how to find your new home - our property managers will welcome you in the Lobby with keys, directions, local attractions, and anything you need.

Spend family fun playing Pickle Ball, tennis or basketball with courts located on site. Stop by our lobby where we offer an assortment of loaner sports equipment for our renters including pickle ball sets!

Relax and have a great time! Our fireplace has been newly updated to an electric insert! Easy to use and nice to enjoy.

Fabulous Family Vacation

We’ve stayed at Pajaro Dunes before, but this is the first time we stayed in this unit. We will absolutely come back. It was large enough to feel we weren’t on top of each other but cozy. They had everything we needed and the check in staff were so helpful. Beds were very comfortable too.

One the quietest residents on the property

Location, Location, Location! Close to the Nature Center, Athletic Courts and edge of property that brings peace and serenity. Patio looks out to empty lands and view of the rip tides.

Birthday trip

Excellent. Property was exactly as described. Access to the beach and the ocean was extremely easy. View of the beach on the balcony was beautiful. Access into Monterey was quick and easy. Our trip included a day of travel on Big Sur, Monterey Jazz fest, wine tour. Great food. Would stay again.

Girl's weekend Away

Looking forward to coming back! What a beautiful condo! There are picturesque windows so you can enjoy the natural surroundings of the dunes, trees, and the ocean! All 3 bedrooms are very nice. Two with decks. Wonderful amenities and very quiet location; just the sound of the waves! Lovely!

Perfect place by the sea

The four of us walked in and said "NICE!!" The property was clean, a great view of the ocean because it is high enough to see over the dunes and comfortable like home. Since I am the designated breakfast chef, I was excited to see the electric skillet and four slotted toaster:). We hope to return next year same time.

The check-in process was terrible. I called ahead to tell them we would be checking in late and they told me to go to the wrong gate. The staff at the gate and Pajaro Dunes customer service would not help me when I arrived and told me to call VRBO. There were signs up saying they could not help with reservations through 3rd parties. An hour after arriving we were finally able to check in. Once in the condo. I found a live roach in the living room within 30 minutes. There are definitely better places you can stay for the money.

Thanks for your feedback. We're sorry for the confusion with the condo number and the issues during check-in. There are over 500 homes at Pajaro Dunes and with the incorrect property number, it made it difficult to see how best to assist you. We did try reaching out multiple times to resolve the situation but couldn’t connect. We understand how frustrating it was, especially with the wrong gate and lack of support. We’ve addressed the pest issue and review the check-in process to improve things for future stays. We appreciate your understanding and hope you’ll consider staying with us again.

Perfectly Pajaro!

Enjoyed a relaxing week at Pajaro Dunes with our two teenaged daughters. The condo was immaculate, well appointed, and a great space to relax and just enjoy family time. The view is beautiful, and the beach is just steps away. We especially loved our hummingbird visitors that sang to use from the tree off the deck. The area is a great jumping off spot for day trips to San Francisco, Monterey, and Santa Cruz.

It was a nice place.

Clean and comfortable. TVs are old and not smart. The only advice I would have is to have a short instruction list for the remotes.

Perfect condo in a perfect location

We LOVED this condo. We have always loved Pajaro Dunes, and this is the best unit we've rented so far! This condo is at the Northernmost point of the Pajaro Dunes area, which gives you not only a view of the ocean, but also the beautiful hill and natural area to the North. The condo is a great space, with updated bathrooms & kitchen. The high ceiling in the living area is lovely as well. Master bath is tight, but still very functional. A lovely property.

Very Enjoyable Stay....

My husband and I took some of his relatives from England for a long weekend. Very nicely updated. Was able to enjoy a beautiful view of the beach and the surrounding landscapes. Main living area has plenty of space for all. large dining table and then extra table to play cards. Beds were super comfy. Kitchen stocked with all the basic pots, pans, bowls, etc. Very short drive to Monterey, Carmel and Santa Cruz. Dinner at Phil's Fish House in Moss Landing is a must.

Perfect getaway!

The kitchen was very well equipped which is always important to me. Location was excellent- away from the hustle bustle of Santa Cruz, but close enough to duck in for visit. The only minor complaint- comment, is to notify folks about the path and amount of stairs to get to unit. Not a big deal for most, but we had some hobbled folks. Did not ruin stay by any means! Will do again!

Great stay in Pajaro Dunes!

My family stayed here for my daughter's 16th birthday. It fit four adults and two teens perfectly. We loved the quick walk to the beach and enjoyed watching the sunsets and walking along the beach that didn't have many people on it. We took a day trip to Monterey but spent the rest of the time at the beach. The kitchen was nice but missing some essentials such as aluminum foil, zip lock baggies, or Tupperware containers of any kind. If you plan to use the grill, be sure to get propane from the Pajaro Dunes store or bring it with you. Overall we enjoyed our stay here!

Love Pajaro Dunes

This was a great place to stay for some family beach time. The space had everything we needed, was clean, and comfortable. I would stay here again. The only downside was that the blinds on the door looking out to the ocean didn’t open. We called the maintenance guy and he tried to open them and couldn’t… said he couldn’t fix it until after we checked out. So we didn’t get the full view, but that’s ok. I’m sure they’re fixed by now!

Lovely views, clean & spacious!

We really loved our stay - we were a tad disappointed that there was no fireplace as it was not in working order during our stay but it was to no fault of the owners and they gave us a heads up… refrigerated was not working upon arrival and while we were given a loaner it was inconvenient and cumbersome - all that being said the condo is quite spacious, well maintained and nicely appointed. the unit is on the last building so it was nice to feel like we had a bit more privacy - that being said - in this unit you are also a bit further away from the ocean and have more of a partial view even though the dunes are also very pretty.

Great Local Getaway

Our family takes the last week off in September and usually uses this opportunity to visit some well known summer spots durning this uncrowded week but with flying out of the question and many places closed we decided to stay close to home. Pajaro Dunes is a great place to visit for a few days of local beach fun. The beach is always great even when its foggy and cool. It's always uncrowded and easy to social distance. This condo was perfect for our family of 4. Recently remodeled kitchen and baths are nice. Very clean! Private unit on the 3rd floor in the rear of the building with ocean views and open space views where we saw deer grazing. Would stay in this unit again without hesitation.

Great getaway

My family of 4 had a great time. It was the perfect unit for us with plenty of room. Great views of the ocean and a short (steps) away from the beach. It was very quiet and private. We got an overcast weekend but still had a good time and took many walks. The beds were comfortable. We could hear the ocean and saw seals and dolphins from the window and deck. We went to a few restaurants that were recommended in the guest book and they were both excellent. Bring beach towels and blankets. Also, no dish towels. There are two old chairs on the deck and 1 beach chair. It would be nice to have a few more.

Perfect spot for extended family vacation!

My family and I have stayed at Pajaro Dunes several times and we usually stay on the other side. This was our first time at Shorebirds and it was fantastic. The condo itself is gorgeous, beautifully decorated and spacious. The bedrooms were perfect for five adults and two small children. Pros: Spacious, clean, nicely decorated, comfortable beds, clean, all kitchen supplies you could need Cons: Third floor. While there is a ramp for part of the way, there are a set of stairs to get up to apartment. This was challenging for a few in our party. We had a nice view, but we were on the end, so it wasn't as straight on as we would have liked. Overall, we had a great time and will definitely be back!
