We had amazing stay. Home was super clean, kitchen had everything to make food, we enjoyed the balcony ( there are 4), pool and short walk to the beach. Close to shops and restaurants. Will definitely be back.This house is on quite street, great location, we saw dolphins every day on the beach during our stay. The agency for this house was great.

Really nice place to stay. Walking distance to the beach and food places. The pool was refreshing when we came back from the beach. The 4th or July Fireworks show on the pier was the best.

My family and I had the pleasure of staying here for a week, and it was wonderful! The location is great; so close to everything you need! Being able to look out and still see the ocean was nice, especially since it isn't beachfront property. The walk to the beach isn't terrible, just in invest in a decent wagon! The beds were some of the first I've been able to actual sleep in while on vacation! I would have liked a little more blankets in general, but I'm a blanket person.. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay & I'm already dreaming about the next trip!

The Salty Unicorn was as described. My wife and I loved it and being pet friendly was the cherry on top. The host was top notch as well. He answered all my questions in very timely fashion. We actually got to town earlier than we planned (about 2 hrs) so we asked if by chance we could check in early. In a matter of minutes we were told yes it was ready and the door code was sent! The place itself was very nice, clean and had everything we needed for our stay. The wagon was a very nice touch. The walk to the beach was not bad at all about 5 mins. Although I am not sure if we used the right access to the beach, but no one gave us a hard time about it. After a long day at the beach we came back to relax in the pool. We had an absolutely wonderful time.

The property was convenient to the Gulf State Park (Gulf Shores) entrances as well as the beach pavilion and neighborhood beach access. There were restaurants within walking , or bike ride, distance. The property, and home were clean and well maintained. The pool was clean as well and based on us experiencing some cooler weather days, it was nice for it to be warmed. We would definitely stay again.

Great Place

Had a great time, location is great with many different Restaurant options, beach is only about 3 minute walk. Definitely would stay again.

Beautiful property!

We loved our stay! We were in town for a cheer competition and this property made for a luxurious weekend! We will definitely stay again next year!

Excellent location!!!

We found lots of fun close by! This was a perfect place for our family. We packed up the wagon and walked to the beach everyday. Enjoyed great restaurants and fun adventures nearby!

Weekend Trip

We had a wonderful stay at The Salty Unicorn. We had 4 adults and 3 children and were comfortable. The house has everything you need. It is close to plenty of restaurants, shopping and activities. A pretty short walk to the beach.

The main TV would not work properly, neither would the two TVs in the bunks. This was frustrating. Too, I had asked about chairs or a wagon in advance and was told there were none on property. I bought luggage carrier so I could bring such items to get there and have them.

Perfect Place and Location

My grand daughter and my wife and I absolutely loved the Salty Unicorn. Accommodations were impeccable, very clean, beds were comfortable along with a tiled shower in Master. We walked to several restaurants and to the beach! You can park next to the front door, easy unloading. And allowing r pooch to come as well. You cannot go wrong rent this unit. Thank you for sharing your place.

Great Stay!

We loved our stay at Salty Unicorn! The house was clean and had everything we needed. We traveled with our small dog and he loved laying on the deck above the pool. We didn’t like the beach chairs at the house, so just rented on the beach. They will work for tiny people. Lol… The pool at the house was salt water and never crowded. We loved it! The house is not suited for elderly or people that have issues with stairs.

Amazing Runaway Weekend

It is very comfortable and accessible for many fun places. The access to the beach is easy and close. The neighborhood is quiet and peaceful. My family enjoyed eating at Sunliner, they love getting in the pool and have some fun at the beach. The restaurants near are tasty definitely 5/5. The house provides with everything you need. I definitely recommend this place for anyone. The coupons/free passes are definitely great especially with a big family lol. Next time we come to this place will definitely be our first option.

Enjoyed our two week stay at The Salty Unicorn April 2026. The view from the condo balconies was great because of the empty lots in front, and it overlooked the peaceful natural area in back. The 4 balconies gave a variety of outside seating areas to enjoy the views. The pool was great and not busy. It's a short walk to the beach access in either direction. We brought a beach dolly to carry our beach chairs but a wagon is available. Location was great for access to Gulf State Park dog park, bike trails and beach, along with Sea & Suds, Gulf Island Grill, Surf Style and market.Condo was well appointed with kitchen amenities incl. 3 different coffee makers, ice tea maker, blender, slow cooker, etc. WiFi worked great. TVs and options for viewing were plentiful (a little technical challenge). Beds were very comfortable. Upstairs laundry was convenient. Management responded quickly to an access code issue. Check in and out was easy. Utilized free ticket from iTrip to zoo and dolphin cruise.Minor Cons: Couch was pretty lumpy. Need grab bars on exterior of bathtubs. Hard to open side by side freezer door because too close to wall. Definitely would return if cost and availability align.

We had an absolutely wonderful experience staying at the Salty Unicorn! The home was clean, comfortable, and just perfect! The location was close to everything, and the beach was just a short walk away. The view was spectacular! We will definitely stay here again!

Relaxing Gulf Shores spring break week

Nice two-story beach house with community pool. Located very close to all the shops and restaurants that you want to go to. A 7 to 10 minute walk to the beach. We enjoyed going to beach and relaxing by pool and eating at all the great seafood places near by.

Amazing cottage

The Salty Unicorn is a beautiful, clean, pet friendly cottage. It had everything a person could possibly need. Very close to the beach, Gulf State Park, restaurants and grocery stores. We couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay. We stayed from January 1st, 2022 until March 5th, 2022. We were able to meet the other residents that were staying in the other cottages and can now consider them friends. We loved it so much we booked for three months next year! Thank you Salty Unicorn!

Beautiful Villa in a great location

This Pet friendly Villa is perfect. Great location close to everything. A very short walk (about 5 minutes) to the beach as well as restaurants, shops and walking trails. Newer, clean and well maintained with a very nice outdoor pool area. Everything you need to enjoy your stay is in this Villa. We stayed from 1/1/22-3/5/22 and loved it so much we already booked for next year!
