House was perfect for our stay! Great beach access for a 2nd tier home and the ice maker was a great touch. Would recommend this house to others for sure.

Nice home, beaches were great too. Speedy response by rental company when we asked to have someone check the AC, after maintenances visit we did not have any other issues. Overall all stay and comfort was great.

Great Second Tier House!

The house was comfortable and nicely decorated. The beach access is basically just across the road. The master bedroom is a very nice size. One of the other bedrooms has an attached bathroom also. The layout required going through the kids bunk room to access two bedrooms from inside the house, but we didnā€™t mind this. Our family which included Grandparents and two families with young children enjoyed our stay.

Location was perfect!

The location of Surfin Safari was perfect. My only complaint about our stay was the sheets were still exceptionally sandy and smelt bad in the big master bedroom. The air filter hasnā€™t been changed in forever. A few better kitchen essentials would be nice as well. Overall, our stay was nice and we would rent Surfin Safari again.

Excellent location with beach access directly across the street! House had nice rooms and was nicely furnished. You do have to pass through the bunk room to access 2 of the bedrooms which is inconvenient at times. A little sand on tables and in various areas upon checking but nothing too bad.

Good but Awkward

Great location in quiet Fort Morgan. Steps away from the beach. Living room area space is tight, and you wouldnā€™t want to cook and dine here with your party with the lack of space. The bunk room was inconvenient to have people walking through when these bedroom guests needed to change or sleep in. The back bedroom guests have to walk though this bunk bedroom to get to a bathroom or use the master suite bath. The place worked out for us because our friend group is close-knit, but blending families or unfamiliar friends groups I would not recommend.

Nice place, good value

Nice, clean, home and well maintained. Small kitchen but well appointed. Funky floorplan but 7 guests didn't feel crowded. Super easy beach access but near public access so beach was at times crowded. Highly recommended if you're looking in Ft Morgan.

It was ok

When we arrived the master bath was dirty, with hair and debris in the drawers, due to not being cleaned. The master shower, which is very small, had sand in the bottom and the tub had hair in it. All of the towels had hair and red fuzzies on them as well as the sheets. We had to clean and rewash all of them, and the bunk bed sheet were just sat on the bed, not put on. The shower in the front bath would barely drain so we really couldn't use it. The lock and doorknob on the back door didn't work either so we could not use that. The house was adequate and cute, but quite a drive from dining and entertainment (20-30 min). Beds were comfy aside from the bunk beds, and it had everything we needed. You have to walk through the room with the bunk beds to reach the master and other bedroom unless you come in through the doors in the master. Aside from cleanliness, our main issue was beach access. THIS IS A PRIVATE BEACH, and the owners own the property in front of their house. So, if you want to take umbrellas and such and set up to stay for awhile, the only place you can do so is at the access point and it is only 20ft wide. People actually leave stuff up overnight here because there is so little space. We were not aware of this and one of the neighbors called the property management on us because we set up for a few hours on the beach in front of their house. We were not in there space or touching any of their property. The property management still did not tell us in the phone call it was all private, so when we set up somewhere else another lady came and told us. We explained where we were staying and the situation and she was nice enough to allow us to set our gear on her property the next two days. It was a discouraging experience especially considering what we paid to stay on the property. If you just want to walk across to the beach, this house is perfect. If you are setting up for the day you might consider beach front.

Overall

Everything was pretty good except the couch breaking and when we got here the master bedroom in the back had ashes from a cigarette on the blanket. I think the cleaning lady needs to do a little better before new people arrive but other than those couple of things the house was perfect for us! The owners were great about answering calls and fixing anything we needed!
