Luxury Beachfront Villa on Rio Mar Beach in Resort

Ocean Villas is a beachfront, luxury condominium complex inside the gated grounds of the world-renowned major resort (see property address for resort name).

The resort is adjacent to the awe-inspiring El Yunque rainforest, yet only a 30-minute drive to the city of San Juan. The Ocean Villas complex has three private pools (lap pool, infinity pool, kids' pool), a hot tub and a huge expansive beach providing easy access to the warm Caribbean Sea. You will have a relaxing tropical experience while a 5-minute stroll to the hotel gives you access to the excitement and nightlife of the resort's numerous entertainment options including restaurants and a full-service casino.

Our villa is located on floor 2, which gives it amazing, unobstructed views of the beach. The photos on our listing were taken from the villa, and were not zoomed in... you really will be that close to the beach and Ocean Villas pool complex!

My family, including my wife and two kids (ages 5 and 1), had a wonderful time! This villa is exactly as advertised--the pool/hot tub area are quiet, as is the stretch of beach directly out in front, but you're only about 200 yards from the main building of the Wyndham resort, including its restaurants. This was a great stay!

What a location! My wife and I decided to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary in PR. We had been there before but decided we needed an exceptional spot and did we ever find it! John and Taylor's villa was a wonderful retreat for our vacation. The unit is as advertised with all the needed amenities, large living area, comfortable bed, and that view! It was difficult to get off the balcony, especially in the morning when the sun was coming up over the horizon. The grounds of the resort are beautiful and well maintained as well. Taylor and John were responsive to all our questions and communications with the resort were smooth. We traveled to a few spots on the island during our stay but most of our time was spent at the pool and especially on the private beach. We thank them for making our anniversary extra special and memorable with their one-of-a-kind villa.

Beautiful views to wake up to every morning and so many delicious food options nearby. Grocery shopping was just 10 minutes away, which made it easy to keep essentials on hand. We loved how close we were to El Yunque Forest, and being only about 35 minutes from San Juan was perfect. It was a great week away and an ideal home base for exploring the area

Slightly dated condo building. Overall wonderful stay, accommodations, views, and ease to resort dining next door. Beach is nice- has tiny bugs that bite so definitely use beach chairs. Condo could use some updated beach chairs that come with the room. The security guard isn’t always around to unlock the beach chairs they provide. Waves were very big. I could see kids enjoying the boogey boarding but it was too rough for me to swim in. Pool is beautiful. Quiet and not crowded.

Taylor and John were very good hosts with quick response times to any questions we had. The villa itself was clean with amazing views. The location in relation to the beach just can’t be beat! The air conditioning was cold and the water was hot. The bed in the master bedroom was very comfortable. The bathroom could use an update. The Ocean Villa’s complex itself is in need of some work. The whole building is in desperate need of a good power washing and a fresh coat of paint. The lobby area where you check in and pick up your keys was run down with spider webs in the corners. The pools were clean but there was a lot of cracked concrete around the patio areas. Although the buildings need some TLC we did see maintenance people working every day around the grounds to keep up with as much as they could. Everyone we encountered was very friendly including the bartenders and waitresses we interacted with at the main Wyndham Rio Mar hotel building. If you’re looking for a peaceful beach vacation this place definitely delivers!

Great Oceanfront location for exploring Eastern PR

We had a fantastic stay at this VRBO. The space was exactly as described - comfortable, well-appointed, and perfect for our family vacation. Being right in front of the ocean and near the Wyndham Resort made the location incredibly convenient. It was also a great home base for exploring the eastern side of Puerto Rico, including El Yunque, the Luquillo kiosks, and snorkeling excursions from Fajardo. Would definitely recommend!

AWESOME Property!!

Our stay was ah-mazing!!!! The owners, John & Taylor, not only have the best-located property but were flexible, communicative, and very hospitable. They remembered we were there to celebrate my daughter's birthday and graduation. They genuinely cared about ensuring we had a great time. The pics do not do justice to the condo. You have the best views of all three pools and the ocean from the beautiful balcony. It's so convenient that the condo is a three-minute walk on the path to the restaurants at the Westin. The beach was so peaceful. Even the pool bathrooms were extremely well maintained. We went to El Yunque twice and it was so worth the windy road up the mountain. The views were stunning! The kiosks in Luqillo were fun! So much to do within a short drive if you wanted to venture out; however, we would have been fine never leaving the resort area. We will definitely stay here again next trip!!

Paradise!

We had a lovely stay at Taylor and John’s condo! It was super clean and had every thing we needed for a peaceful, relaxing week. The view is amazing with easy access to the beautiful pools and beach. The location is great with lots of great food options and activities near by. Taylor was lovely, very commutative and helpful. We would definitely stay here again.

Wonderful Stay!

We just returned from our second stay at this wonderful property. It’s beginning to feel like home away from home and we are already planning our next trip back. The view from the condo is unmatched. The property is peaceful and quiet (which we love) but a short walk to restaurants at the main hotel. The unit has everything you need for a great stay and the hosts are extremely friendly and ensure a great time! Can’t wait to come back!

Quick getaway in a perfect location

We had the most relaxing time. The property is ocean front with amazing views of the ocean….Steps away to the most beautiful sand and palm trees everywhere. Pool and hot tub was clean and modern- available at any time which was amazing. Lots to do in the area so never felt bored. Many restaurants close by and grocery stores as well. We will be back!

Lovely getaway

The pools, the beach and the balcony (which I could have spent all day on) were perfect and many outdoor activities within driving distance. Taylor and John were super helpful with recommendations for food and activities and quick in their responses. We truly had a wonderful week.

Our second time at this location for obvious reasons. The property is the right size for a small family, clean and comfortable. It's very quiet and secluded compared to nearby hotels, yet amenities are abundant. Steps away from the ocean and pools and a short drive to restaurants and site seeing. As close to perfect as it gets.

This condo and resort is 100% as advertised. Incredible views of the beach, amazing pools, fantastic resort with great staff and several fantastic restaurants/bars. Its a 3-5 minute walk to the main hotel/resort area. Roots on the go has coffee, pizza and ice cream all day.The bed was super comfy and our kids found the futons to be comfy as well. The water pressure is impressive. Condo has full kitchen and a dining area. The beach is great. The owners have beach supplies. My kids loved the boogie boards! The pools are right downstairs from this 2nd floor condo. The tree frogs serenade you all night. We loved our stay!One friendly note: if you're not in one of the great pools or in the ocean, the local bugs (mainly no see ums) may eat you up. One of our family watched us in the ocean and got ate to pieces one afternoon. Definitely bring bug spray just in case.

Another wonderful stay!

This was the third time my boyfriend and I have vacationed here and we loved it just as much as our first time. The villa is exactly as pictured - very clean and comfortable, with everything you need to enjoy a relaxing getaway. The view is breathtaking, and with the ocean and pools just steps away you can't go wrong. John and Taylor are wonderful hosts and the property management is very responsive to any questions or issues that may arise. We will definitely be returning again!
