Los Pelícanos - Perfect Beach House For Families Or 2-3 Couples

The House:
Los Pelícanos has three bedrooms split between two casitas, giving guests lots of privacy and lots of breeze through all the bedrooms. Enormous shady porches mean you always have a shady spot to relax in one of the many hammocks or a comfy chair. Graceful Spanish tile and natural stone with beautiful local hardwood furniture and counters throughout, all wood from sustainably harvested sources. Solar rooftop panels run all the lights, ceiling fans, outlets, & fridge, with backup connection to the grid so you will always have power! On the Pacific coast of Nicaragua one wants to live outdoors, Los Pelícanos with its endless shady porches is the perfect place for relaxing, reading books, walks on the beach, not to mention surfing or just playing in the waves!

Main casita has the master bedroom #1 with a king bed, bathroom, and kitchen/living room, with a huge wrap around porch and lots of hammocks. The guest casita has two more bedrooms and a bathroom accessed via the porch, with more hammocks. Bedroom #2 has a queen bed with single bunk bed above, and Bedroom #3 has a king bed. Outdoor shower for rinsing off the salt & sand, and surfboard racks next to the main house for convenience. Kitchen is fully equipped with blender, toaster, coffee maker, and stocked with bottled water for drinking and cooking.

The Location:
Los Pelícanos , located in the Finca del Mar beachfront community, is 50 steps from a beautiful empty tropical beach. Wonderful for early morning or sunset walks, collecting shells or driftwood, and, of course, surfing. You will watch a sky every evening with more stars than you can imagine and you will hear the waves lull you to sleep each night. Los Pelícanos is also a 2 minute walk from the Los Cardones Restaurant. Los Cardones is a wonderful place to get delicious meals and meet new friends or old while watching the sunset over the Pacific Ocean. At Los Cardones you can also rent surfboards, boogie boards, sign up for yoga or a massage, take surf lessons, help release baby sea turtles, or set up adventure outings that range from horseback riding to snowboarding down a volcano!
The Surf:
Ranchos surf break right out front is fun for beginners at low tide and intermediates & experts at other tides. Ranchos almost always has fun surf, but for intermediates and experts there are other excellent breaks within walking distance.

The Community:
The Finca del Mar community and Los Cardones Ecolodge are committed to sustainable, environmentally friendly and low impact development, designed to support the local community and support local educational development. You can volunteer to help out during your visit!

Rental manager Laure will do everything possible to make your stay fantastic. She can arrange airport shuttles, or have the house pre-stocked with groceries if you want to come straight to the beach without spending time shopping in Managua.
