Enjoy an incredible stay in this unique one of a kind brand new villa accommodation and only walking distance to the town. The furnishings are first class and you will enjoy your own kitchen and en suite shower room. Air conditioning and ceiling fans. The location is very private and the views of the ocean are amazing. The property is a 3 level modern building and the accommodation offered is on the ground floor with private access and next to a beautiful pool with infinity edge.

The accommodation is suitable for 1, 2 and up to 8 persons. This property is for travelers wishing tranquility and yet only a 8 min walk to the town. Walking along the lovely stretch of sandy beach either in the morning or at sunset is indescribable. You have direct private access to the beach from the villa. The pool is large with infinity edge and next to a fabulous tiki/rancho with lovely seating, unique outdoor kitchen with 42" alfresco grill, gas burners, refrigerator with drawers and sink. Enjoy a swim with a drink next to the pool. The property offers a full breakfast - choice of continental or local Nicaraguan - breakfast is optional and not included in the price. Dolores the cook/housekeeper can cook any meals for you at a nominal extra cost of $20 a day if you wish.

This is an OPTIONAL service. You supply the groceries and she will do the cooking for you. Would you like to enjoy a massage whilst you relax to the sounds of the waves? Then this can be arranged.

Incredible stay at Christine’s home in Masachapa! The pool and outdoor areas are amazing. The sunset views were incredible. We got massages on site and took an ATV tour along the beach and to a waterfall. Dolores cooked for us 3 days, lunch and dinner, and those were the best meals - so delicious. We did 2 day trips to Ometepe Island and to Masaya Volcano. Glad we did it but lots of driving for short visits. Can’t wait to visit again!

We were welcomed in person by the wonderful host's and left as friends. We cannot recommend this amazing home and location well enough. We were looked after from start to finish.We recommend taking advantage of Delores and her culinary skills. Me and ny 3 kids had best time, my love it, they want to stay longer which is hopefully next will definitely stay longer oh yes the most i love about is its so peaceful, i enjoy a lot listening sounds of the ocean 😌 and also we enjoyed Doña Dolores ( the lady who works there ) she is amazing and she those cook a good meal for Us everyday, we love her. Our family had a great time here! We loved being able to stroll along the beach, play in the pool and enjoy the outdoor spaces (outdoor kitchen, dining room, chairs). Dolores, the on-site housekeeper, was an amazing addition. Take advantage of the opportunity to have her cook some meals - delicious!Christine was more than welcome to answer questions, provide suggestions on activities, and help us arrange excursions. Everything from booking the property to check out was smooth and hassle-free. A wonderful place to stay.

Family Vacation

Amazing home, Pictures don't do it justice. We did arrive late, but direction to the home were perfect. We were welcomed by Dolores and Jairo, both very sweet and welcoming. Dolores cooked all our meals for us. Amazing typical nica food and yummy. This is house is very kid friendly, wonderful for families. Loved the location of the house. Christine was very communicative, answered right away. She also called ma few days before to confirm everything, give us some tips on our destination, very very helpful. We also had the please of meeting her in person, such a sweet person. Highly recommend this home. Loved the beach, loved seeing the locals.

Beautiful home right on the beach!

Home right on the beach! Life doesn't get much better than that. Our entire family enjoyed fun in the sun in this beautiful home. The hosts connected us with their cook who made amazing meals, we felt as if we stayed at a 5 star resort. We will definitely be recommending to F&F. I hope we get to book again, thank you for letting us stay!

Wonderful!

Amazing property with incredible views of the Pacific Ocean. Loved being able to walk down the stairs to the beach every morning. Christine was a wonderful host who welcomed us and our 21 month old son and helped in any way to make our stay perfect! Highly recommend using Dolores to prepare your dinners at the house.

Great and relaxing holidays

It was a first time in Nicaragua, and we (family of six) appreciated a lot Christine's and Joe's hospitality and kindness. The house is very well located with direct access to the beach and beautiful sunset view. We loved the food that Dolores and Idalina had prepared for us, and we profited from the surf classes, quad and hours riding. All was very smoothly arranged by Christine. Thank you! We strongly recommend Casa del Mar as it is very enjoyable and relaxing place to rest and have a great holiday.

Forever Memorable Trip of Healing, Fun & Romance,

Christine (who owns the property) made this trip one for the books! Not only is her villa clean, private, fully equipped…the views will take your breath away. The sound of the ocean from your private infinity pool is incredible, the care the staff (Dolores & Jairo) provides during your stay enables you to feel safe & comfortable, allowing you to fully relax into your time in Nicaragua. Could literally rave forever about our time spent in this beautiful paradise. However, feel it must be noted that the trip was overly humbling as well, providing a stark contrast to the privilege often taken for granted in the states. If you want to relax, adventure and pay homage to the local community, this is the place to stay 🙏👍❤️

Very Relaxing Stay

My friends and I stayed here for Labor Day weekend and we enjoyed it very much. We did many activities including horseback riding and ATVs and Massages. The cooking ladies were the best part of our stay. They are literally magical. They cook so fast and so good it's unreal. They also clean and are very sweet. The pool was great. The beach is a bit rough and is definitely not a relaxing swim, but we had fun none the less. Christine and her husband live upstairs so they are available all day. This was perfect for a girls trip. Make sure to bring portable speakers if you want t o listen to music as there was none available and also the internet was not strong enough to make Skype calls or Facetime, but overall great stay.

As September is in the winter season here in Nicaragua the seas are not as calm as in the summer months. The internet normally works very well so had I known I would of helped you to connect with skype as I use skype daily to make calls to the US, Canada and else where. I accept your comments re the music system and will get a more up to date equipment.Whilst you had complete privacy at Casa Del Mar as you know we were available when needed. Beautiful beach, gorgeous private house.........this is not to be missed!

Beautiful property with a wonderful infinity pool looking out over an almost private beach, with a lovely ranch area to sit and relax around the pool, as well as taking in some amazing sun-sets. Set of stairs straight down to the beach, ideal for an early morning and/or sunset stroll and swim . You can cook for yourself using the grill/bbq or you can easily arrange to have someone cook for you. Alternatively you can walk five minutes along the beach to the town of Masachapa where there are lots of restaurants to choose from. WiFi is available throughout the property and we had two nice bedrooms, each with double bed, private bathroom, and independent kitchen area. If you want to stay on a beautiful part of the Nicaraguan coast, in a lovely traditional little fishing town, but with the privacy of your own home and very friendly hosts, this is the place to go for!

Amazing property, Even better owners!!!!!!

The property was amazing! Everything u want and more. Christine and her husband were absolutely the best we have ever stayed with. We had to show up late due to travel delays Christine arranged for a taxi to come get us from the airport since we didn't speak the language. During our stay she arranged to have a wonderful massage at the property overlooking the ocean. The staff was amazing took very good care of us and WOW Dolores cooking was amazing! She went to the fish market and got us mahi mahi and lobster, chicken, fresh vegetables, and desert....it was better than any food I have eaten out to dinner by far!!!! Christine allowed us to have friends over for a day. We had a great visit with her, such a blessing. I highly recommend anyone to stay there, u won't be disappointed. Jimmy and Angie

Beautiful and Relaxing

Our family enjoyed a wonderful, beautiful, and relaxing week at Casa del Mar. Our hosts, Joe and Christine were absolutely great! This was what we needed. The sunsets each evening were spectacular. The closeness to the ocean was exactly what my wife especially enjoyed. Our son and her took relaxing early morning walks along the beach collecting many treasures for our shell collection. The pool what just perfect for all of us. It was a luxury to "take a dip" at any time. That is more my style! My wife and I will most certainly return. For all who are interested in visiting Masachapa, Nicaragua, Casa del Mar is the place to stay. You will not find a more accomendating host as Joe and Christine. Nor will you find a more beautiful location to enjoy the Pacific Ocean as well as a more wonderful location to just relax.

Paradise with a capital P !

I stayed in one of the rooms downstairs and found it to have everything I could possibly need. The bed was so comfortable, I slept like a rock every night! I was lulled to sleep each night by the crashing of the waves. The main house above is positioned within 50 yards from the waters edge. During the day there was plenty to do from jogging down the beach, taking a swim in the pool or taking a dive out in the ocean. There's a huge palm thatched bungalow next to the pool equipped with a massive kitchen for outdoor cooking, relaxing and entertaining. Christine and Joe go out of their way to accommodate you and make you feel at home. Their caretaker, Dolores, is always available to whip up a superb breakfast, a cup of coffee, or even take care of a small load of laundry. I recommend this property for anyone seeking a nice break from the beaten path, where you will bask in the lap of luxury and enjoy this undiscovered jewel of Nicaragua.

Relaxing and wonderful stay in Nicaragua. Top notch hosts.

If you are thinking of traveling to Nicaragua, you should definitely consider this gem. This is better than staying in a mega resort. Christine is a top notch host. She arraigned transports to and from Managua with Randall, as well as having Randall take us to tour the Flor de Cana distillery and visit Leon on our anniversary. When we returned Delores prepared a sunset dinner of lobster and chicken for us as well. We decided to have Delores cook the rest of our dinners for the week. She is an amazing asset to have at Casa Del Mar. The fresh food and vegetables are unmatched, you will be amazed at the flavor from the vegetables. You can relax poolside and watch the local fisherman leave and return daily as well as local kids play soccer on the beach. If you want to explore more, Christine can arrange everything prior to arrival as well. She will send you many options that are available. Christine is very easy to communicate with through email as well as phone if needed. It is indeed a wonderful gem in Nicaragua, and we would love to find some time to return next year.

Amazing!

As first time travelers to Nicaragua, our trip was beyond anything we could have imagined. We had a long wish list of things we hoped to do during our stay and Christine, our host, ensured everything happened. She truly is a one of a kind host. Prior to booking, Christine's correspondence was excellent. She answered all questions with great detail and in a timely manner. Prior to our arrival, she was able to coordinate any excursion that was requested. We were blown away by everything the home offered. There are incredible spots to lounge around the pool in the sun and so many things to take in. During the day you can watch local fishermen come and go,theres a great variety of birds in the sky and an incredible show of starts in the evening sky. We were also able to catch a nap in the shade or read a few chapters in the oversized hammock as dragonflies cruised around overhead. The large pool was top notch. It was beyond refreshing and offered an amazing view. Each day Dolores cooked for us with freshly bought local ingredients. What a treat! We are grateful to have found a host like Christine. She made this getaway special and went above and beyond each day to make sure we were having an enjoyable time. Theres not doubt we flooded Christine with questions prior to booking, leading up to the stay and while staying as a guest. Her accommodating attitude and “no problem -let me take care of that” approach will have us returning again.

Beautiful Property - Almost Perfect

The host was a Beautiful person inside and out, very responsive, attentive and gracious, lives on the property. The property itself is spectacular and view and location are amazing. The most important thing to note for guests is: This is literally for all intents and purposes, a TWO BEDROOM rental, this is NOT a 3 bedroom property. The first bedroom consists of (2) Queen size beds and (1) Daybed/Futon, all of the guests in the room share the same space and 1 Bathroom, the AC does not cool the section where the 2nd Queen bed is. Luckily the person that occupied that bed is not used to AC and she was fine with a cieling fan and floor fan. The Futon/Daybed is next to the Queen bed. Bedroom 2 - consists of 1 Queen bed and 1 futon/daybed next to the queen bed, and 1 bathroom. This bedroom has a kitchenette area in the back next to the bathroom, very spacious. The AC does cool this space. My Son came back to the states early and did not stay with us but if he had, it would have made things very uncomfortable because the listing shows 3 bedrooms. I had 3 ladies share the 1st bedroom and My Husband and I were in Bedroom 2 so it worked out. This needs to be understood and made clear and it is not so in the listing. I highly would suggest to the host to update and clarify this because in my case, my Son would have had to sleep on the futon next to my Husband and I. Also, please update listing to disclose the extra electricity charge that exists if you go over limit.

WARNING! Misleading listing.

Certainly not what I expected from the listing. I rented the "entire place" for a family vacation and as soon as I was checking in we were in for a surprise. The listing advertised entire bottom floor but that does not include anything other than 3 adjacent rooms and pool area access. No access to a living space or indoor kitchen. This was not suitable for the extended family and the fact that the pool area has very limited shade all afternoon. I immediately contacted the owner and explained I was disappointed and did not want to check in. She responded by feeling attacked and insulted and said that everyone else has a wonderful time at her property. I explained that that didn't work for me and she said well you are stuck take it up with VRBO, I won't refund you let you cancel. Christine was absolutely unaccomodating and proceeded to retaliate with threats to charge me more if my brother came over for lunch for a couple of hours that would be $40 extra. I had to tell my brother not to visit us. Most importantly this is a misleading listing that claims to have 3 bedrooms woth AC. The bedrooms have no privacy between them. Two of them at least have a door but the third bedroom is inside the second bedroom and has no AC. Just a curtain and it wraps around the other room. To put a cherry on top after being forced to stay as no cancelation was permitted and no other properties where available due to the holidays, the WiFi stopped worked after about 8 hour and was not available for the rest of our stay(2 nights). I even had two guests check out early by one night and Christine added a surcharge for additional guests for having an extra 1 year old and a 4 year old. She said if I hadn't complained at the beginning and accused her of misleading she wouldn't have charged me but she did it as retaliation. Just the worst host I have ever dealt with with no empathy or ability to listen and take feedback. On a positive note her staff where nice, transparent and apologetic.

L'hôte Christine est très accueillante et la préposé à la cuisine Dolorère fait de la très bon repas. Le décor de l'établissement est vraiment remarquable.

Excelente estancia

La comunicación con Christine fue maravillosa y cálida, la atención de dolores y disposición para ayudarnos en todo y en cualquier momento. David muy servicial, educado ambos personas muy recomendables, educados, sencillos y muy serviciales. Volveremos pronto. La playa es bonita verla desde la casa, no así para disfrutar en ella x los olores del acopio de peces. Pero en la casa tuvimos todo lo q necesitamos. Pdt Christine, se anuncia una casa al lado de la vuestra con fotos de la suya, crea incertidumbre y un poco de inseguridad ya q esa está en muy mal estado y están siendo engañados con fotos de la casa del Mar. La suya es correcta en ka descripción

My husband Joe and I are retired and we live part of the time in our beach home in Nicaragua and part in the USA. We love the location of our home and we know you will also. Both of us are well travelled and speak both English and Spanish. We love Nicaragua, its lovely people, the weather etc and enjoy living overlooking the ocean and close to the town.

We decided to build our home in Masachapa because of the lovely beachfront location and also the proximity to Managua airport, good hospitals, shopping etc at only one hours drive

O que faz essa propriedade ser única?

In our 50 years of marriage we have lived in many homes in a number of countries. This home was designed and built by us. It is a 3 level top 2 levels are exclusively for my husband and myself. The complete ground floor level was designed and built as rental accomodation using the best of materials and furnished to a high standard. You will enjoy the privacy and tranquility of this area which is next to the FABULOUS POOL and Tiki/Rancho area with OUTDOOR COOKING facility, refrigeration etc. There is private direct access to the sandy beach
