Panhandle Getaways furnishes a few essential items for guests to utilize until they can get to the grocery store. Initial Supplies include: Dishwasher soap, small washing machine powder, each bathroom has amenities (like hotel but NOT restocked) shampoo, conditioner, soap bar. One roll of toilet paper in each bathroom & one paper towel roll in the kitchen. All bed linens & towels are provided. We encourage guests to bring beach towels for use at the pool and beach.

Pleasant Stay

Great location, nice large balcony. Loved the large hot tub. But the condo itself could use a little more furnishings to make it feel homey. Needs a blanket for the couch, hooks in the bathroom for towels and swimsuits, more than 4 regular size drinking glasses. And this the first condo/house I have ever stayed that didn't have beach towels and chairs. Just lots of little things that could make it feel more like a home instead of a place where they put all their leftover or unwanted items.

Nice place to stay

We really enjoyed our stay, especially because we were minutes away. The wait for our room was the only problem we had. Check in was very late.

Uncomfortable bed

The mattress in the room with an Ocean view is worn, uncomfortable & requires replacing. Cannot get a good nights sleep.

Emerald Isle

Great location with easy access to all activities. The Parking was great. The Washer and Dryer in the unit was a huge bonus, this was not listed anywhere. The Patio was awesome, and by far our favorite feature of the unit.

Recommendations

There were only 3 coffee mugs - we had to buy more. Only 5 hangers - we bought more. Need more kitchen knifes - the existing ones there do not cut well. Couch/chairs not bad but chairs are starting to break down. Drapes need to be hung properly - sections are not hanging onto rod.

Beautiful View

The balcony was perfect, very large. The fridge was excellent and never ran out of ice.Only thing was the water in the master bath would not stop dripping in both the sink and tub. The walls appeared to be in process of being repainted . couch was very worn internally and you sunk in so far it was hard to get out, had to set on throw pillow to be comfortable.Everything was all in all great and we would definitely stay again. My wife loved playing pickle ball across the street at the tennis court every morning.

I enjoyed being so close to the water and parking was good.

I feel for the price we paid it could be a little more maintained. Things just started falling apart it looked like no one takes the time to check everything is running correctly. It's a nice condo with lots of space but it was a turn off seeing it's not getting maintained.

Great Condo!

We had a great visit to PCB in this beautiful condo! We sat on the balcony most of the time which was gorgeous! The condo had comfy beds and nice bathrooms, although when you sat on the couch, it was hard to get up. It was very worn out. The kitchen was beautiful with nice countertops. The Emerald Isle was a very nice facility, the pools were a little small but we stayed at the ocean most of the time. I would recommend this condo to anyone. We have 2 small children and it was very child friendly.

Good and not so good

I've been waiting to write this review because I really don't like leaving bad feedback but here goes. First the good: Location is awesome, being on the 12th floor with the balcony overlooking the ocean gave us the ability to see a lot of wildlife in the ocean below, an activity we really enjoy. We saw sharks, manatees, skates, devil rays, dolphins, osprey, and pelicans. The staff at Panhandle Getaways, whom we booked through, were always very pleasant when we spoke. The beds in the bedrooms were very, very comfortable. The bad: While I understand the owners needing to use a management company to handle their rentals there were a few things about the experience that we did not like. We've always rented through HomeAway in the past by owner only, this was our first experience with a management company. The door to the laundry room was broken and hanging into the hallway when we first arrived. This was taken care of almost immediately with the repairman removing the door. Next we discovered that this condo with two bathrooms only had 1 roll of toilet paper and 1 roll of paper towels. Two dishwasher pods were left. There was no dishsoap in the kitchen. This may seem like a small thing but in EVERY other home/condo we have rented there has always been plenty of paper goods and cleaning supplies for our WHOLE stay. For the price paid I feel like these should be standard. The management company said that "since this was a condo that we needed to bring our own supplies". The front door mat is worn and dirty looking, it should be replaced. The sofa bed was okay but the blanket provided was torn and tattered. The coffee table, side tables, and bedside tables were very worn. Finally, when we originally booked we chose a four night stay that started on a Friday night and ended on a Monday night. We booked through HomeAway. My credit card was accepted and we received a confirmation email. A day or two later a representative from Panhandle Getaways called and asked us to move our stay up two days or back two days. She said that the owners did not want any unused nights open on the condo and we needed to move our trip accordingly. I found this to be very strange and a little irritating but we had already committed ourselves to this trip so we agreed to come two days earlier. If there could be a few slight changes to this property I think it would be a much better deal. Update the inside a bit and provide cleaning and paper goods! :)

Filthy

The beach was great. My condo however was filthy! The mats at both doors were so gross we had to jump over them for fear of contracting something!!! Everything was just smeared over-not clean. The furniture looks clean but it's not and it smells-as well as the bed spreads and the spare blanket. Lots of scuff marks and black finger prints on the walls-every corner was full of dirt and mold. The ceiling fans have 1/2 inch of dust accumulated on them. We do the condo thing every year and this was by far the worse one yet. Spoke to others staying here and they ALL said pretty much the same thing- as far as cleanliness. We got spoiled by other condos we rented and assumed all were the same-jokes on us-lesson learned. We will be back but not here-ever.

Perfect for a girls getaway

We had a great time during our stay and would have stayed longer if we could. The views were amazing and the kitchen had everything we needed. We used an app to get all of our check in information which was very helpful. We will definitely be back.

July 4th stay(2015)

Upon arrival, we were a little unhappy with the checkin/parking situation. There was not a specific area for loading and unloading your car(s) which was confusing and also there is a $20 parking fee(per car). Once in the room, the room cleaning service left a mattress cover on one of the chairs, sand was all over the floor and the balcony chairs looked out of place and not neat. Also, I have never seen so much dust caked to the ceiling fans. When paying the amount we paid to stay here, you expect to arrive to a clean and neat condo which was not the case for us. On a good note, the views were great from the 12th floor! The beds were very comfortable! And the condo was very spacious. The large balcony was great and worked very well when watching the firework show that took place at peir park. This condo was on the less busy side of Panama City Beach which was also nice! Mikes Cafe, which is right across the street was also great! We would call in a to-go order and walk over and pick it up and bring it back to the beach to eat. Overall, I think this condo is great, they just need a new cleaning service!

Perfect for a family of 4

We really enjoyed our 4 night stay here. We would have stayed longer if it had been available! The location is perfect. It is on the quiet west end of the beach, but still close enough to groceries, restaurants, etc. My boys had a blast playing on the beach and we even saw two dolphins. The 12th floor has perfect views. Kitchen was fully stocked and the unit was cleaned very well. I had a great experience overall and will definitely be booking my trip for next year soon.

GREAT PRICE!

Great rental property for an awesome price! We had one minor issue during our stay that was handled in a very timely manner and the rest was a smooth, easy & relaxing trip! Loved the fitness center where I could look at the gulf while working out & the indoor pool was also great when the sun become too much. I would definitely recommend this company to others.

The unit was wonderful. Locations perfect. Close enough to Pier Park but far enough away to not be in all the traffic. The description of the unit was accurate. Unit and facilities were clean and well-maintained. I recommend this unit to families, girls getaway, retired couples. The unit is 1 mile from a grocery store and 2 miles from Pier Park. Across the street from a great restaurant. We will definitely stay again.

Mom and Friends

The condo was gorgeous, large kitchen, very comfortable, all dishes were clean! and the deck was awesome! We had breakfast every morning on the deck looking for dolphins (we never saw them but it was still nice to sit out there and just look) Plenty of room on the deck and that was nice because you didn't feel crowded sitting out there with 4 or 5 ppl. You guys were very easy to work with and that was a plus - no problems at all. The only negative I would say is that the elevators don't have lights on the outside above them to see which one is open. By the time we finally found which elevator was open it was closing. That definitely would something to look into but other than that - it was a great time.

Clear Water & White Sand Fan

Absolutely love that we were close to Pier Park and still away from where all the traffic was. Very neatly decorated with lots and lots of space. Owner was the nicest yet, very easy to work with, and I'm one to ask tons of questions.Can't wait to go back!!
