All divisions are cosy, comfortable and spacious, 5 large ensuited bedrooms and a wide living/dining/game room with more than 70 square meters with pool table. You can enjoy the Algarve sun in this relaxed, well equipped and very well located Villa. Situated in a very calm area and near several services, supermarket, good restaurants, bar, cafe, English grocery store, local fish market, etc... all at a less than 5 minute walk. The beach and Olhos d'agua old town are 10 minutes walking. All the great Vilamoura golf courses nearby. Albufeira at 5 minutes by car.

The property was beautiful and very clean some mix up in arrival time and left standing in the pouring rain for at least 45 minutes

Sandy, Thanks a lot for your review. Regarding check-in we send detailed check-in information emails 3 weeks and again 4 days before check-in, asking guests to text our maid when they leave the airport, for a smooth check-in process and we can be expecting them at the villa when they arrive. Unfortunately you didn't follow the procedure and only texted our maid when you were already at the Villa. With heavy rain comes heavy traffic and she took a little while more than usual to get there. We apologise again for the incident, but we did the best we could to minimise the consequences of this, considering the circumstances. Hope to see you again soon at one of our Villas! João Barreto

1 week in caso do mar

We stayed here at the end of August 2023 (family of 10). Had a lovely time and great memories made! Supermarket is about a 10 minute from the property and a Lidl a short cab drive away. The villa had everything we needed in terms of cooking equipment and a decent sized BBQ which we used a couple of times. The beach is a bit further of a walk around 20-25 mins. We ate out a couple of times and would recommend the Italian restaurant about 15 walk from the villa. We also ate at A Lagosteira which was the other side of town but we’ll worth the cab fare👌 The villa itself was very nice and clean upon arrival and an easy check in process (had to pay extra for Sunday checkout). It has decent pool table which kept everyone entertained! The pool was nice and clean we paid extra for the heating and think it was worth it as is the hot tub. Inside the villa has everything you need and the beds were really comfortable. Overall we had a really great time and would certainly recommend 👍👍👍

The villa is excellent, suited all from 18 month old, teenagers and 3rd generation.

Overall experience was enjoyable. Only concern was the walk to the beech and back could be at times challenging-steep hills, but tolerable. Didn’t spoil the holiday.

Fantastic, spacious villa

Lovely property with very spacious rooms. The property was very clean and ready for our early arrival. The property owner offers fantastic service at every point of the booking process and throughout the stay. For us though, the only downside was in location. With 2 small children, the makeshift pathway to the centre of the resort was too difficult to navigate with pushchairs.

What a place!

We had an amazing stay here. The villa is out of this world and we were very sad leaving. We were a group of ten adults, one child and two babies and the villa is so big and spacious we never felt too on top of each other. The pool is huge and the outdoor space is amazing. We had no issues at all with this villa. It had everything we needed for a perfect stay.

Casa do Mar-vellous!

For around a decade we have stayed at this very well-located, spacious, elegant villa which is situated in the laid-back, friendly fishing village of Olhos d'Agua. Although it is in a slightly, secluded cul-du-sac due to a short, sandy pathway you are only a 2 minute walk from a well-stocked supermarket, bars and restaurants. A further 5 minute downhill walk brings you to the lovely sea-front/beach from where you can access the beautiful bigger Falesia beach. The villa itself is very impressive with 5 en-suite bedrooms (3 of which are upstairs with picturesque views of countryside to the front and back and the ocean to the south), spacious room inside and out for eating, Wi-Fi, very good security system, Jacuzzi and best of all for us a large-size very inviting west-facing swimming pool which gets the sun all day long. As ever Joao (the owner) is very amenable to deal with whilst Elia and Luis are there with a friendly welcome and for any problems that may arise during your stay. This is an ideal villa and location for people of all ages and is highly recommended!

Great Villa

This was our second visit to the villa as we had stayed there last year. It is a great place to stay with everything you need. Very clean and well equipped. The only down side was the wifi was very slow and kept cutting off. But would stay there again.

We would like to apologize to the WIFI issue and tell you that this problem will be solved still this month as we are changing our provider and will change from a 4G connection to a wired internet service much more reliable and faster, so next year you will have perfect internet access! Beautiful Home

This is a great home for a family or group. We loved the pool table and hot tub (too cold for the pool this time of year but I am sure it is fabulous). We walked to market and near by restaurants and enjoyed the peacefulness. The beaches near by are beautiful.

Home From Home

Another wonderful stay. We have stayed here four times now and have already booked for next year. The heated pool is perfect for family use - babies and elderly alike! It is the perfect villa, in a quiet location, but just on the edge of all the town's facilities. No need for a car.

Lovely villa - perfect holiday

5* We had a fantastic stay at Casa do Mar, the pictures don’t do it justice, it’s even better and more spacious in reality! It was spotless when we were handed the keys and all the bedrooms and en-suites are a good size so there was no squabbling over rooms! The villa is in a convenient location, a short walk to a large supermarket, shops and restaurants but away from the busy high-rise hotel areas so nice and quiet. Also it is only about a 15 minute walk to the beautiful Praia da Falésia (translates as Cliff Beach). The villa’s pool is a good size, we opted to pay extra to have it heated and even though the weather was great we were pleased with the decision, no squeals when jumping in! As we had a 20 month old child in our party we were glad to find it was a safe pool (gated). There is plenty of outside space including shade for when the sun gets too much, the garden is lovely too and we used the bbq a few times during out stay. The little children’s table and chairs on patio was a nice surprise. The pool table is a great addition for evening entertainment and there are also dominoes and a Bluetooth speaker which was handy. There is plenty of crockery and cutlery so no need to run the dishwasher until full, we could have done with a few more mugs but other than that everything was very well catered for. There are also children’s cups, plates, cutlery and high chair. The fridge has filtered water and ice so that was a bonus in the hot weather. Only a couple of issues, the travel cot could do with an upgrade, it was a bit broken. Also we couldn’t change the temperature of air con in the lounge or turn it off. Most of the group struggled to get the TVs in the bedrooms working but we were not indoors much so not much of an issue. We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend it!

Clean and tidy place, great size and big bedrooms, all en-suite.

Great location, quiet but only 5 mins from shops and 15 mins walk to the beach. Paid extra to have the pool and jacuzzi heated, which was great and used every day. Perfect for a big family group. Would definitely stay there again

Fantastic Villa, would recommend, owner is so acco

This property is fantastic, immaculate and modern, 5 double bedrooms all with en-suite, plenty room in the living area both inside & outside the villa along with a lovely pool. Location is just a 5 min walk to local bars & restaurants and a 10 min walk down to the beach front of Olhos De Agua. We used the property as a base for golfing in the area, my colleagues stated that they would definitely bring their families to the villa due its high standards and location. Joao the owner couldn't do enough for you and Elia was so accommodating and flexible with arrival & departure times. Best villa I have been at for a while and would recommend to families and golfers, would definitely return.

Best Villa in Portugal

The 5 star rating is not enough when it comes to this villa! It's simply the best villa I've ever stayed in. Ten of us stayed for ten nights but because it is so spacious and well laid out you wouldn't know there was that many people staying there. The bedrooms and bathrooms are all a good size and the living area is very comfortable. The pool is a great size and there's plenty room for everyone to sunbathe. The BBQ is a great too! The whole villa was spotlessly clean and tidy on arrival and the bed linen and towels were of the best quality. The owner was very helpful when we asked for a birthday cake to be made available on arrival for one of the guests and it was very delicious and much appreciated. Elia the maid is such a lovely lady and nothing is too much of a bother and made us feel very welcome when we got there. The villa is only a few minutes walk to the supermarket, the local shops, restaurants and bars. We ate a few times at the Tavertinos restaurant and it is super reasonable on price and the food was of great quality. It's very busy so it's best to book a table in advance. We have already recommended this villa to our friends and family and they have already started to look for dates next year. All in all if you want a great place to stay with everything you could possible ask for then this is the villa for you.

The villa was perfect for our family.

Placed with a little distance to the rest of the city, but still with only 5 minutes to a supermarket and other necessities, it suited us very well. The villa is kept very nicely, clean everywhere. The kitchen was equipped with sufficient tableware even for a family of 12. With two small children running around it was very good that the pool is fenced in. The only thing that we missed were a couple of sofas outside.

AWESOME, FANTASTIC.........DIDNT WANT TO LEAVE!!!!

We have just returned from our second 2 week holiday at Casa Do Mar and I've got the holiday blues. Book this villa and I promise you, you wont be disappointed. Elia and her housekeeping ladies greet you and are ALWAYS friendly and helpful and do a great job! Luis (the gardener/pool guy and handy man) is also friendly and very helpful. Mr Barretto always returns emails and provides all the information you may require. The Villa has EVERYTHING you will need for a prefect holiday. As previously stated, this was our second visit here and adore it. This time there were 10 of us (ages ranged from 12-65). Olhos D'Agua has the perfect balance of tourism and authenticity. Far enough away from hustle and bustle but close enough should you require it. Great beaches (find your way to Falesia Beach, gorgeous!) There's a supermarket 5 min walk away, numerous bars and fab Portuguese restaurants. We took a taxi to Vilamoura for the day and some of our party hired cars to visit the markets at Quarteira. I'd move here if I could. Book this villa, it's worth every penny!!!!

Fantastic Villa

This villa is perfect for a large family or group of friends. We stayed early July, as a group of friends ( 5 adults, 3 teenagers, 3 children). We were welcomed by the villas housekeeper Elia, a very friendly lady who showed us around the property and supplied all the essential information. The villa is very spacious, clean, well maintained and provides excellent facilities for all ages. The pool was much larger than we had expected and was enjoyed by all. Location is excellent, no need to hire a car as shops, restaurants, beach etc are all within a 10-15 minutes walk. A large supermarket is only a 5 minute walk away. The owner Joao was very helpful and pleasant to deal with, he answered all our queries very promptly. We would not hesitate to return to this fantastic villa again

Amazing villa Casa do mar

We stayed at Casa do mar for a week during May half term, we are a family of 11 (9 adults 1 teenager 1 baby) the villa is large enough for you to have your own space but well planned so you can all be together for dining, chilling around the pool. We paid extra to have the pool heated and to use the hot tub which was really beneficial with a baby and as the weather was overcast for a couple of days it did not stop us making the most of using the facilities. João was brilliant during the booking process and responded almost immediately to our queries ( when we book again I would book the villa direct with him as he is reliable and it would also have saved us 300 euros). The villa was clean and use of pool towels was great. The housekeeper and her husband were also very efficient and sorted out the couple of issues we had immediately (ie gate lock to the property jammed and we couldn’t get out ! And TV in one of the bedrooms did not work - nothing major) We used “go transfers” to and from airport and for day trip to water park and old town they were very competitive and reliable. The town of Olhos do Água is a charming fishing village with some very nice restaurants and bars and not overly commercialised you felt you were in Portugal. Also everyone very friendly. There is a bakery on the corner that bake the most amazing cakes and it definitely worth a stop. One day we walked from Olhos do Água to Vilamoura a long the beach took about 90 minutes it was really lovely. It is a fabulous holiday destination for relaxing, nice food and reasonably priced alcohol. We will definitely be holidaying here again.👍🏻

Fabulous villa - a real gem

Our whole family stayed in this villa (3 generations) and we all loved everything about it. It really is a luxury villa, with every little detail that makes a holiday stay exceptional. It was absolutely spotless & furnished to a high standard, from comfortable sofas indoors to 2 different types of sun beds outdoors. The kitchen was modern and very well equipped, including a washing machine, iron, microwave, cooker and an awesome American style fridge with an ice dispenser (offering both crushed & cubed ice!) Everything you may need to cook or barbecue was supplied, including an ice bucket to keep your wine cool when dining outdoors. Every bedroom had its own en-suite bathroom which is very helpful when there are lots of you sharing a villa. The outdoor area was very spacious with an outdoor dining table, a barbecue and plenty of sun beds for everyone (no need to wake up at 6am to lay your towel down & get a good spot!) The pool was a fabulous size and very clean and there was also a hot tub which really ensured this villa had extra luxuries that made our stay here very special. You have to pay an additional charge to heat the pool and use the hot tub but it is definitely worth it as we spent lots of time in the pool by day and in the hot tub by night! The pool table indoors keep the teenagers entertained and was another welcome addition to this villa - it literally had everything for everyone! The owner of the villa went the extra mile to ensure our stay went smoothly and was always available during the week when we had questions about the villa or the local area. He answered our emails within 30mins and was always happy to provide additional information - what a great host! Thank-you João for making out stay a truely special family holiday. We would definitely recommend this villa as it surpassed our expectations, is great value for money and is one of the nicest & most luxurious ones we have stayed in so far. We are looking forward to our next stay here - hopefully sometime soon.

Fantastic!

Have just returned home after an amazing 8 days at Caso do Mar. We were a family of 6, consisting of ourselves, 2 daughters, son-in-law and 3 year old grandson. The villa surpassed itself and was more than adequate for all our needs. We had the luxury of our own en suites, a wonderful hot tub and heated swimming pool, which meant that we all swam daily, more once and was great fun for our grandson. The pool table in the villa also proved a great hit and over the week we all improved our skills! The villa itself was spotlessly clean and had everything we needed for our self catering holiday, including a bar-b-que which we were lucky enough to use as the weather was very kind to us. A 5/10 minute walk to the Intermarche, main shops, bars and restaurants was perfect for us and meant we had no need to hire a car. The beach itself is very pretty and picturesque. João recommended JustGoTransfers to ferry us to and fro from the airport and they proved to be reasonable, reliable and very friendly. All in all, a wonderful time was had by all, so thank you João for your personal touches and for responding quickly to any queries we had. Also, thanks to Elia the maid for allowing us to check in earlier than stated and for giving us tips and advice regarding our stay. Would really love to return sometime in the future.

Honestly a lovely holiday

This villa was such a lovely villa to stay in. None of the funiture was budget, all the rooms were luxury. Pool heating was well worth it as our holiday was at the beginning of November. I was a bit worried when I refundable damage deposit was asked for as I've always put a debit card on hold before so I was worried I wouldn't get the deposit back however when seeing that we had taken good care of their property all the deposit was returned without fuss. There are shops and restaurants near by, the main areas old town and the new Town are a 5-10 minute drive/taxi ride, we had cars hired but also used taxis which are easy to come by. I really enjoyed this villa and holiday. We offered cooked and used the bbq twice, all utensils supplied. Thankyou for letting us rent out your beautiful villa for a week :) x
