Casa Lontra sleeps eight people (4 bedrooms) and has its own swimming pool which can be heated on request and wonderful sea views. The villa is located in the established and peaceful area of Luz Parque and is 1.5km from the beach and village. The villa is a light and breezy home with two wonderful terrace areas. The terrace area around the swimming pool can be secured enabling little ones to play safely in the garden or on the main terrace. There is plenty of Baby/toddler equipment to borrow along with toys and books for all ages. There are many golf courses within a half hour drive of the villa, and even more if you are happy to go further afield. Please note central heating is not included as it is not necessary in the summer. It can be added as an extra.

Our family had the most lovely stay at Casa Lontra. The villa has a beautiful view of the ocean and lots of amenities. The host Claire and the Villa mgmt company are very responsive and were quick to resolve any issues we had while staying at the house. Overall 10/10 and would definitely book again!

Lovely Villa Perfect for Young Families

Our little boy loved playing with all the toys at the villa. The salted pool was lovely to cool off in and the terrace with the sunshade was very pretty to sit out on. Great location to walk into Luz (15 mins) and also to get to Burgau, Lagos.

Fantastic Villa in great location

Great Villa for families - plenty of space inside and out and a short walk or drive to Luz or Lagos. Villa was clean and the one issue we had during the week was resolved quickly. Would recommend.

Definitely worth a visit

Perfect property for a family holiday. Everything you could need is there. The views are stunning in a great quiet location. Having a heated pool made a massive difference. Would definitely recommend.

Specious getaway in Luz

It was as advertised. Four larger bedrooms. Large living spaces both indoor and out. Well equiped kitchen. Great heated pool. Walking distance (20 mins) to Luz Beach promenade abd restaurants. And, quiet neighborhood.

Home away from hone

Excellent property and within easy reach of town. Very spacious which is what a family of four need and large bedrooms. 2 en suite and a large family bathroom. Outside space was good and the pool was enjoyed by all. We are returners to Luz and know what to expect and book restaurants in advance so as to avoid disappointment. My only criticism is that we only booked a week and not two!!

Perfect child friendly villa

We stayed for a week to celebrate a big family birthday. Plenty of space for extended family. Perfect for 1 year old as pool is gated off and selection of toys, books etc provided. Beautiful terrace to enjoy meals on. Good bonus having the heated pool as we stayed in April and would have been too cold otherwise. Good communication with management company before and during our stay. Would definitely stay again.

We waren er eind april. Verwarmd zwembad was echt lekker warm waardoor de kinderen veel hebben gezwommen. Het huis is van alle gemakken voorzien en zeer ruim. Ligging van het huisje is super. Qua zon en wind maar ook qua activiteiten in de buurt die je er kunt doen. Voor jong en oud. Aanrader. We komen graag een keer terug.

Tolle Ferien in einem tollen Haus

Great house for a getaway to Luz!

We had an absolutely amazing time in this property. We were 2 families with 4 children ranging from 6 months to 4. The house was far better than we expected, the photos don't do it justice. There was loads of room and great safe places for the kids to play and for everyone to have space. There were so many toys for the children they were thoroughly entertained and loved playing in the garden and in the pool. We'd definitely recommend staying here!

Wundervolle Ferien in traumhaftem Haus

Das Haus war traumhaft! Tolle Aufteilung, sehr sauber, gemĆ¼tlich aber schick eingerichtet. Der Kontakt mit der Agentur lief reibungslos. Die Kinder (3 und 7) haben sich sehr Ć¼ber das massig vorhandene Spielzeug (sowohl fĆ¼r Haus als auch Pool und Strand) gefreut. Der Pool inklusive Heizung hat Kinder, Eltern und auch GroƟeltern begeistert. Kurzum: das Haus ist nicht nur wunderschƶn, es hat auch alles was man braucht oder brauchen kƶnnte. (sehr vielfƤltige KĆ¼chenausstattung). Wir kommen sehr gerne wieder!

Wonderful bright and modern villa

With its contemporary layout and decor, modern bathroom facilities, large terrace and super swimming pool Casa Lontra ticked all the boxes for our choice of villa. It is situated in a peaceful, pretty, established area of Praia de Luz on a slight incline with beautiful views of the sea and within 15 minutes walking distance from the beach. We had a fab holiday!

Maison trĆØs agrĆ©able, aucun Ć©quipement ne manque, barbecue piscine et rĆ©veil vue mer ā˜€ļøā˜€ļø Disposition des chambres impeccable, permets une discrĆ©tion et une autonomie si vous venez Ć  plusieurs couples. Le jardin est idĆ©alement disposĆ© sans aucun vis Ć  vis, et la piscine Ć©tait parfaite pour nous rafraĆ®chir. Seul petit bĆ©mol, la climatisation manquantedans les chambres lorsque comme nous vous avez des tempĆ©ratures qui dĆ©passent les 40Ā°. Superbe villa familiale, Ć  refaire

Schƶnes Ferienhaus, welches mit groƟem Pool und Aussicht glƤnzt

Wir haben den Aufenthalt genossen, insbesondere den groƟen, beheizbaren Pool und die tolle Aussicht auf das Meer von fast jedem Zimmer. Es ist genug Platz fĆ¼r acht Personen. Wir waren zwei Familien mit jew. zwei Kindern. Toll war auch, dass im Flur eine Kiste steht mit Sandspielzeug und Schwimmringen steht. Man kann zu FuƟ, in das StƤdtchen laufen. Die StraƟe, in der das Haus steht, ist eine sehr ruhige StraƟe. Von den Nachbarn haben wir eigentlich gar nichts mitbekommen. Vielleicht ist das in der Hauptsaison anders. Der Strand in Luz ist traumhaft schƶn. Mit dem Mietwagen haben wir von Luz aus viele Dinge besichtigen kƶnnen. Der Kontakt mit der Agentur und auch mit der Besitzerin Claire war immer toll. Uns war nicht klar, dass zwischendurch so oft die HandtĆ¼cher / Bettzeug gewechselt werden und auch geputzt wird. Toller Service!!! In dem GƤstebuch stand als Empfehlung, dass man zehn Euro/Person als Tip dem House-Keeper hinterlassen kƶnne (=80Eur) Das ist schon ein ordentliches zum SĆ¼mmchen, zumal man ja bereits die Endreinigung mit bezahlt hat. Trotzdem toller Service. Das einzige ā€žnegativeā€œ wƤre vielleicht, dass die AuƟenanlagen etwas vernachlƤssigt waren (staubig, sandig, Spinnweben) wir haben an einem Tag selbst alles abgespritzt, Poolbereich, Liegen,ā€¦ Wir wĆ¼rden das Haus aber insgesamt sehr empfehlen.

Amazing house and pool

I must say that itā€™s much nicer in real life than the photos. Amazing pool (heating worked perfect) and really nice social areas in the house with seaviews. The thing that pulls it down a star was the very hard beds. With better/softer beds this would be a 5 star easily.

The property is very spacious and is in a great location for several golf courses. A walk into Luz didn't take long and there are a range of bars and restaurants. The owner and the managing agent are extremely helpful.

Fantastic from begging to end!

Just got back from a brilliant week in Luz with friends and our young families! The villa was super clean, communication throughout was great and it was one of the best equipped properties weā€™ve stayed inā€¦..sharp knives! (Makes all the difference) The location is lovely with a short drive to the local beach and a choice of so many other beautiful beaches all within 30 mins. Breakfast/lunch/dinner with sea views over the pool were a stunning luxury! The weather was perfect too, cool in the mornings and evenings and then 20-26C each dayā€¦and no mosquitoes! Overall an 11 out of 10 holiday! Thank you

The Willmott Family live in the South of England and enjoy looking after our animals which currently include a very naughty cocker spaniel, a greedy black Labrador and the Queen of the house is our wire haired Portuguese Podengo who we rescued from the streets of Portugal a few years ago. We have been visiting the Algarve for more than 15 years. We love it there so much that in 2007 we bought a villa in Luz now called Casa Lontra. After a huge refurbishment, the villa is our favourite place to holiday and we enjoy the local beaches (easy for a lazy day and a bit more sociable) as well as exploring further afield and spending long days on the west coast beaches pretending they can surf and body board (the kids arenā€™t bad - the parents are a poor excuse!).

The sea view sold the house to us - with that view we could look past the old fashioned decor, orange kitchen and dog bath in the garden! We loved the traditional feel of the outside but totally refurbished the inside so it now offers a clean, modern villa which works brilliantly for families (and has room for the grandparents too).

The villa has been refurbished and equipped with families in mind with the swimming pool, terrace area and garden all individually fenced so little ones can play safely. In addition, cots, highchairs and children's crockery are all provided. The villa is a short drive from the beach at Luz and the village shops but is in a long established lovely, quiet residential area. The views from the villa are of the sea - what more can we say!
