Safe Haven for you and your fur baby

A truly uniquely designed home, The Terrace is located on a quiet little street convenient to all that Sarasota has to offer. Walt’s Fish market and tiki bar is a short walk away as is Trader Joe’s for all of your grocery needs. The property is fully enclosed by 6 foot high privacy fencing in a quiet safe neighborhood. It is an old Florida cracker house with modern and mid-century detail combined. At one end of the home there is a private mother-in-law apartment. That dwelling has its own entrance, parking, and yard. It shares none of the conveniences or the features of the Terrace. It does however house a landlord should you have any issues or needs that need attending during your visit. I have throughout the years met wonderful guests who repeatedly book visits to Sarasota and stay at the Terrace. Be my guest! Yours truly, Sally

We stayed at Sally’s place for a month with our German Shepard. The backyard was private and had plenty of space for ball play. The house was very comfortable. Close to everything. Everything was provided and very clean. Sally is very good with communication. Gave us suggestions on places that would interest us. Would definitely stay there again.

Deceptive description

Owner is on property and has access to part of home that is locked off to renters. Appears they use the entire house when not rented. They have created two access points and come and go. They have a dog who barks every time he sees you. Major construction project on the adjacent lot underway 4/25. Highly do NOT recommend.

Very comfortable house with large backyard

Sally was a wonderful host. She responds very quickly to messages and will always help out in any way she can. The house is comfortable and has everything you need, and the backyard was a particular highlight for us. It is fully fenced in, so it was wonderful to let our dogs out to play in the beautiful Florida winter and know that they were safe. We would stay here again if we ever return to the area.

Location Location Location

Great location in Sarasota! Just minutes to everything Sarasota has to offer. Sally’s place was perfect for us and our friends. The 4 of us and dogs had plenty of room, and the hot tub & fenced in yard was absolutely a plus. Will certainly stay again when we come back!

I think that it should be noted that the property is owner occupied.

The owner tells you to keep the a/c at 72. The rest of the experience I will not share just know is is right there.

Very clean, cute place to stay. Close to everything.

We had a great experience at Sally's place. It was very clean and updated. We really enjoyed the hot tub, it was very close to everything. We didn't realize that the pool was not a part of the property since the listing includes a pool as one of the amenities, but since we were so close to the beach it didn't ruin our trip at all.

Phenomenal VRBO

We rented this VRBO for a month, and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The property is spacious, beautifully remodeled and furnished, and located in a convenient, walkable area. We enjoyed the hot tub in the large backyard, along with a fire pit and dining areas. The bedrooms were perfect, and the master bath shower is amazing. The added benefits the owner provides (cleaning supplies, beach towels and chairs, lovely dinnerware to name a few!), along with her fast response to questions, were much appreciated. There is a 65" smart TV in the living room, and we could stream whatever! Plus basic cable is provided. The home is updated and you don't have to worry about heating or cooling--it was very comfortable. Everything from bed linens to kitchen appliances to lighting was top notch. The only thing I would advise is to provide some new saute pans--the ones we had had been used a lot. We have had rentals where there were numerous issues, and here we had none. But the most important thing was the obvious care and attention to detail the owner has given to this rental. We hope to visit again soon!!

Great location and awesome renovated Old Florida bungalow

This house was very comfortable, charming and fully stocked with everything we needed to enjoy a nice vacation in Sarasota. The hot tub was great and we enjoyed the privacy of the backyard. Our sweet Golden Retriever pup enjoyed his stay too! Very cool house! We will definitely be back.

Great vacation home

Lovely - Peaceful - Enjoyable - Restful

We stayed at this property for 5 weeks. We truly enjoyed our stay. Sally has updated the property with some really great things including a great master BR and shower. Lots of storage and work space in the kitchen area. It was great to have a fenced in yard as we have 2 little pups who enjoyed the yard and deck/patio area just as much as we did. The whirlpool is great and we used it almost every evening. Great grill as well for outside cooking. The area is very centrally located to just everything and we have a truly packed fun-filled vacation. You are also centrally located between Tampa and Ft. Myers -- we had visits from friends in both locations as well. The other great thing is that there is a fitness club literally in the back yard which we bought a month pass to so we could access working out as well as their pool which is kept at 82 degrees. Sally is a very attentive owner and wants to insure her guest are 100% satisfied. If there is anything you need, she will be responsive as she was to us during our stay. Her daughter was also available to hire to let our pups outside on occasion when we were gone for several hours at a time which was extremely helpful. The only thing we were not aware of until we arrived at the property was that there was an attached studio rental. Although, they had no access to the yard or the house, we would like to know that was the situation. Her renters for that studio -- were no problem, we were just more concerned about keeping our dogs quiet and keeping our noise level down. Outside of that, the stay was truly perfect. The home is peaceful and simple and easy to entertain in the open space. Great owner who takes pride in providing her guests with a good experience! I would recommend this property for sure.

Perfect family rental

This property was great for our family visiting relatives in Sarasota for Christmas. I was surprised how spacious the open floor plan made the house. It had everything we needed, was very clean, had soft, very high quality sheets and some toiletries. The backyard was nice and hot tub ready for use. I would definitely recommend it to families who want more space than a hotel. The location is great also.

Hidden Gem at Great Location

What a lovely home with all the supplies and modern amenities one could ask. The owner was easy to communicate with to confirm check in and out procedures and everything was clean and fresh. We rented the home for a long weekend of many Sarasota errands and commitments and what a great location this home is...very close to main Sarasota thoroughfares, restaurants and shopping for supplies. It was a very comfortable place to return to after our busy days.

Beautifully done and great customer service

Sally and her family have done a wonderful job all around with beautifully done finishes throughout. Modern yet with Florida touches. Lots of light! Very clean and comfortable. A great fenced in yard for our border collie to run in! The Jacuzzi was wonderful! Lots of little touches that made our stay just great. We enjoyed our visit immensely. Hope to stay again! Sally was super at taking care us! World class caring customer service!

Beautiful property! We were able to bring our small dog and he loved the fenced in yard. House was very clean and close to everything! We even cooked on the grill one night as we didn’t feel like going out. Sally was great! Beds were comfy! Loved the Spanish tile flooring. Would definitely stay again! Thank you!

Fantastic home!!!

This was the best vacation home!! Owner was super nice and accommodating! Close to the beach, restaurants and even my Crossfit Gym! My husband and son used the country club that was just a short walk out the back gate! Dog friendly!! Would definitely stay again!!!

I choose this house for its special location and bones. With 6' high white fencing and new landscaping I have created a private oasis of Palm trees , and blue sky views. It's original vaulted ceilings, and potential to create a bright and airy floor plan captivated my artistic interest. Looking forward to remaining active in my retirement ! I knew this area of Sarasota fit the bill.

I have fenced off private areas for each unit. I am pet friendly and would be happy to see travelers with their best friends enjoying their vacation in my home. Ask me about "pet sitting" should you need help while taking a day away from your "kid".
