This historic island home is immaculate! Tucked away on a private lane with a large, screened porch overlooking a lovely yard. A perfect spot to unwind and enjoy your beach vacation! Remodeled kitchen and bath, new laundry room, spacious living room and open front porch with distant views of Oyster Bay.

NO LINENS AND TOWELS ARE PROVIDED SO BRING YOUR OWN OR CALL US TO RENT THEM.

Cancellations made 30 days prior to arrival will receive 100% of refund Ā of all monies minus $ 39 Processing Fee and Any Credit Card Convenience Fees Paid. Ā If less, then 30 days:Ā the advanced rent is only refundable subject to the following: The property is re-rented for the same period. Re-rental of less than a full week will be refunded on a pro-rated basis. The Agent will retain a $39.00 processing charge, and any convenience fees charged. *Deposits are not refunded for ANY reason (including bad weather).

This is what a vacation should be: peace and quiet when you need it, but close enough to the beach and action on Maddox Blvd and Main Street. This lovely house was clean and comfortable. The kitchen had everything we needed and the screened in porch was perfect for morning coffee and evening cocktails. Weā€™ll be back again!

Great little historic home

My family had a great time. The home is so cozy! Lots of little historic facts and artifacts from Mr. Hancock. We loved playing board games on the porch. The redone kitchen has everything you need to cook in and save money. Be mindful when walking up and down the staircase. Itā€™s an old house, so the steps are skinnier. Just like anywhere in Chincoteague, come with gallons of big spray! Overall, would stay here again!

We particularly enjoyed learning about the history of Mr. Miles Hancock, decoy carver and market hunter and visited his workshop at the Museum. Ocean, ponies and seafood, who could want anything more!

Very pleasant trip

This was a beautiful house that was clean and well equipped and fully furnished. Lots of places to sit outside and a cool screened in porch. Modern kitchen, comfortable beds, quiet cul de sac only 5 minutes from town. Fully recommended! Great for young kids too.

It had everything we needed including an outdoor shower and screened in porch, where we ate most of our meals. The location was good, very close to Maddox Boulevard, restaurants and souvenir shopping. It was clean and well taken care of. Access to the channel docks would have been nice. My only complaint was the mattresses were terrible. They definitely need to be replaced.

Very well equipped home with plenty of kitchen items. I remember staying at this place before it was renovated! So happy it was renovated. My family members like to be in town, but this was a nice change.

Peaceful idyll with historical interest

This local decoy maker's cottage has been beautifully restored and is equipped with everything you need to make your stay a happy one. I especially appreciated the well-functioning kitchen with everything to hand to cook a complete meal, not always the case in holiday rentals! Chincoteague and surrounds have a lot to offer nature lovers and your stay is sure to be a relaxing one.
