Carolina Cottage (5 beds room,5.5 bathroom) AND Hideaway (2013)( 5 bedrooms, 5.5 bathroom) are new adjacent beach houses that are mirror imaged. They can be rented TOGETHER or SEPARATELY for weddings or family reunions. If rented Together they provide 10 bedrooms, 11 bathrooms and sleeping for 28 people!!!!
'Carolina Cottage AND Hideaway are beach houses with the best of both worlds; one block from the Atlantic Ocean in front and situated on the tranquil Garden City Marsh in back. Property is located on a quite back street with minimal traffic.

Spend your mornings playing on the beach and your afternoons hanging out at your private pool overlooking the tidal marsh with the egrets, osprey, and pelicans. The sunset over the marsh is breathtaking. If you are up for more exciting events, try CRABBING, SHRIMPING, or FLOUNDER FISHING off the dock (who knows, you may catch enough to provide your family with a great seafood dinner!) Life is good at Carolina Cottage and Hideaway!

Both houses are comparably decorated with a colorful beach theme. The LIVING ROOMS has a sofa, loveseat and large chair with ottoman, 50' Flatscreen, Blue-ray player and cable. The KITCHENS comes fully stocked and stainless-steel appliances. EACH unit has TWO MASTER BEDROOMS one is on the main floor and the other is upstairs. Both have king beds, large master bath, private balcony, flat screen TV and HD Blue-ray and cable. Four more bedrooms upstairs. One is the second master bedroom, two with queen beds and one with three twin beds for the kids. All bedrooms have full PRIVATE BATHS, cable connected flat screen TVs and outside DECKS. . Wi-Fi throughout.

Don't take home those dirty clothes, take advantage of the washer/dryer and make it easier on yourself when you get home.

We love pet dogs! Pet fees payable on VRBO platform when you book 250 for one pet an $100 for each additional pet

Wonderful!

We loved our stay! The house was perfect for us, the yard was great for the dogs, and my kids loved the pool. Walking to the beach was a breeze and my husband and kids had a great time fishing off the dock! We hope to visit again in the future!!

Wedding weekend

What a wonderful house. Wonderful host. Would definitely stay again. Comfy beds so much in the kitchen which was great. Plenty of room.. And the outdoor space with the pool was our favorite spot.. Ms Linda was amazing would def recommend..

Beautiful place!

The house was very clean except hair on floor in one bathroom. The only thing we didn’t like is that some of the bathrooms have nowhere to hang towels, not even hand towels! But other than that, it was perfect. Lots of room to relax. Very short walk to the beach. The pool was beautiful.

Beach Week 24

The house is great for large families. The pool was great . The location was listed in Murrels Inlet , but is actually in Garden City . The hostess was very kind and checked on us to make sure everything was fine and we had all that we needed. We did and more. The house is well stocked. I would absolutely stay there again and recommend it, especially for families!

Wonderful family trip!

We had a wonderful time and wonderful place to stay! Proximity to the beach, fishing pier and some restaurants by golf cart were amazing. Fun was had by all with good golf nearby and with the dock in the back there was never a dull moment. We caught fish, crabs, eels & small shrimp!! The peaceful sunsets off the back patio were beautiful over the marsh. We look forward to coming back! Thank you thank you!!!

Perfect location and fabulous pool

We had everything we needed here for a week as a cooking family. We enjoyed all the bedrooms and bathrooms. The beds were super comfy! The living area accommodated all of us! The pool was fabulous, and we watched two of our grandchildren learn to swim before our eyes! The pet friendly policy was appreciated! The sunsets were gorgeous from the deck, and we loved sering all the wildlife in the marsh! The walk to the beach was easy as described. Thanks for a fabulous week!

First time using VRBO

This was our first time renting with VRBO. The house was perfect! It had everything that we needed to have a great time. The pool was perfect to come back too after spending time at the beach. The Beach was only a few houses up the street. The owner Linda and her husband were super helpful and kind. My boys could even fish and crab off of the dock in the back. We had a blast and are already planning our next trip.

Fantastic vacation!!!!

We came down to Murrells Inlet for my daughter’s graduation from Coastal Carolina University. There were 8 of us plus our fur babies! Everything was great! The location is just perfect. Everyone enjoyed being on the marshland. The house met all of our expectations and then some. Communication with Linda/Dennis was outstanding. We all enjoyed meeting Dennis, especially our Frenchie Lilo. Thank you Linda and Dennis for providing a wonderful place for our family. We will definitely be back😁❤️

Beautiful view

The house was very clean upon arrival. We have had issues in the past where this was not the case. Happy to see how clean everything was. We did have to let the owners know when the trash we not picked up but they were on top of it!! We also had to o accommodate for some roof repair early in the morning. But it did not ruin our stay! We enjoyed the back deck immensely for morning coffee and evening sunsets. It will s a very pretty property and an easy walk through the beach.

Family Christmas

Excellent experience. Very clean and comfortable, actually bigger then it seems online. All rooms are nice, but recommend grabbing the bottom king for yourself! Did three meals at beach house and didn't need any additional "stuff", so don't worry about that. We did buy ice from the store and kept in the freezer for adult beverages. The sunset view out the back is fantastic and we got great family pictures from the dock. Short drive to Garden City and Surfside food and activities. We had our dogs with us, and they were very happy and comfortable. The unit we had was all tile floor, which made things less stressful with grandkids/dogs running about. The whole VRBO thing was a little "scary" but don't let all the information coming at you discourage use, it all worked out and we had a great family Christmas.

No Privacy

Of course, the reply is going to be how I was a terrible guest, how I didn’t hand over the deposit check and pet fee (cash was demanded for the pet fee), and how I left. All true. After being interrupted multiple times during the few days we were there the demand was enough for us to pick up our things and go elsewhere. A very strange stay to say the least, like the owners wanted to be in the vacation with us.. one owner wanted to change air filters in the middle of the vacation, then they just showed up and let themselves in the gate while we were out trying to enjoy the pool (to ask for money). In one instance my daughter and I returned from a morning walk on the beach and observed an owner creeping around the property, moving around trash cans, going in the back yard.. it felt like we were watched the entire time via cameras and their family staying next door. The place was fairly clean, an inch of dust on Knick knacks and shelves all around the place, spider webs and eggs right by the door (unit A), Wayfair special furniture. Unit B was immaculate, that was the one for their family that stayed next to us. Hint to the owners, when people pay a premium for a private place they want privacy rather than constant interruptions. Pictures need to be updated for the property as well. It looks to be somewhat isolated from the listing, it is not. The property is right in the thick of it all. The pool was awesome, beds were awful. One star stay at four star price.

Family gathering for memorial service

Apparently when I received the email with instructions regarding the property and checking out information was not correct . After contacting the owner I found out that the email we received was for prime season which starts 6/1 and we where there in May so therefore our instructions where different .This made me realize why none of the beds where made when we arrived , the towels we received where not all white which is the usual standard for a vrbo rental ( for sanitary reasons ) our towels looked like older towels . They were all paper thin many of them discolored . The master bathroom on 1st floor needed to be vacuumed and I’m sure the tube was never cleaned because you couldn’t open up on side of the shower door . My husband is a plumber by trade and when he tried to slide the door the 1st night it practically came off in his hands . He was able to put it back on and I notified the owners . The front of the fiberglass tub was somehow damaged by another person staying there and that was patched with some kind of cream colored material . Every bathroom in the house needs to be repaired and the entire place needs to be painted .Stains on the walls they have never been wiped down or cleaned . I’m not sure the cleaning people move the rugs in the bathrooms because they all need to be cleaned or replaced . We have stayed in many vrbo places , in fact we stayed in one for New Year’s Eve in Gatlinburg Tennessee which was a 5 start home , this is worth 3 .

The houses were very nice.

We enjoyed our stay. We rented both sides and were very comfortable. If I could make a recommendation, it would be to have Lugguage racks in each bedroom and something to hang towels on in the bathroom. An elevator to send all the stuff up in would have been nice but then again exercise is good for you. They were great and we had a wonderful time.

Relaxation

Very relaxing family trip. Great location. Crabbing in marsh, swimming in small pool, easy walk to beach. Entire family just hung out most of the time. Grandkid’s loved it. Everything we needed.

A lot of rules but clean. Good view. Issue with knats and mosquitos so just be prepared but overall nice.

Comfortable beach house

Nice place with a great view of the Inlet wild life and nature off the porch. Closer to the beach than I thought, easy walk, a couple of hundred yards and straight onto the beach. Kitchen well equipped with pots, pans, silverware, slow cookers etc. nice little pool and a shaded area at the pool. Overall a very nice place to unwind.

We had a great time. Everyone had their own room and bathroom. Loved fishing off the back and access to our personal pool. Linda was always so responsive and we plan to go back.

As a little girl, we used to come here as a family. Now that I have grown up, Dennis and I brought our family here to have some good family fun. This is where our family stays bonded with each other. Our children and grandchildren will always remember the fun times catching crab out back, playing volleyball in the pool, cooking out while watching the pelicans swoop down for their dinner. And best of all pure wholesome family fun.
