We had an amazing stay. We come every year and this is of our favorite homes. Close to the pool and parks. The home is comfortable and clean. The beds were comfortable and the master bed is a king size. Thanks so much to the owners for letting us use their home!

This was a great place & great location. Stopped down at The Erie Food Market quite often. Cleat’s Marblehead has some excellent pizza as well. We enjoyed our stay for sure.

Home Away From Home

This delightful cottage has been our number one choice for several years. It is cozy and clean, beds are comfortable, and the location close to the Rhein Center and new swimming pool. The three twin beds, king bed and two bathrooms were perfect for accommodating adults and children. The host is gracious and Vrbo is a great way to find the perfect cottage.

Excellent Cottage

I’m 50 and I have been staying in Lakeside cottages annually my entire life. This is among the best of them—clean and comfortable with plenty of amenities. The only thing it’s missing is a washer/dryer. Definitely worth the price.

Wonderful time away

First noticed water damaged ceiling tiles and was concerned about mold, but didn't seem to bother our allergies. Overall the house met our needs with tbe two bedrooms and two bathrooms. Air conditioning was wonderful and very quiet, a great upgrade! Enjoyed everything Lakeside had to offer, which is something for everyone.

A Perfect Week at Lakeside

The cozy, clean, comfortable cottage was perfect for our week at Lakeside. Three adult women had the fun of a sleep-over in the room with three twin beds, and cooked up delicious meals in the kitchen. We went to the near-by pool for water aerobics, and walking from the east side of Lakeside was never too far from the Rhein Center, farmer’s market, dock, or shopping. The sunsets and flowers were beautiful. The cottage deck provided a place to visit and read, and we loved staying in this lovely cottage. Helpful signage helped us know how to use and respect the property. Thank you for allowing us to rent this cottage.

Great place! Just be advised it’s not actually a king sized bed. My husband is 6’8” and a king sized bed is our highest priority. So we picked this place because they advertised a king bed and we contacted the host to make sure and were so excited to find it. However, it's only 6' long as opposed to 6'8" like a typical king. My husband was able to find a cot at Walmart and we made it work. Otherwise the place was very Lakeside lovely! Also note there's no washer and dryer, I assumed there was!

Location - Location - Location

This cottage would be perfect for a family (parents and 2-3 kids). It has a lot of positives (kitchen amenities, efficient air conditioning, comfortable furniture). The upstairs bathroom is in between the two bedrooms with pocket doors. Parents would be able to hear their children if they got up in the middle of the night. The shower in the upstairs was very tiny (smaller than a cruise ship shower) with a low shower head so we were glad for the large downstairs tub/shower combination. The television had a clear picture but only streaming services (no local channels). The owner immediately answered when I sent him a couple questions. If you rent a golf cart be sure to ask for the longest extension cord they have as the outside plug is near the picnic table (not near the driveway). Lakeside is a special place and we had a great time.

We loved this quaint cottage in the woods! Plenty of room for sleeping! And the AC’s kept us plenty cool in 95 degree temps. We appreciated the extra table in the kitchen for food storage, and the little extras like dish detergent, hand soaps, paper towels and toilet paper. It’s very close to the pool, pickleball, tennis and Cherry park! We loved our shady walk to the lakeside each day. We’d definitely enjoy staying there again!

This beautiful A-frame cottage is a comfortable home-away-from home location in Lakeside. The wrap-around porch is perfect for relaxing and eating meals at the picnic table. Beds are comfortable, clean bathrooms upstairs and down are appreciated and new kitchen and bathroom counters are beautiful upgrades to this cozy cottage. This cottage has become our family’s favorite vacation location. We have found the host to be friendly and available if needed. Simply said, we love this cottage!

Perfect for a family getaway!

We had a wonderful stay. The house was very comfortable for our family of 5, the good air conditioning was much appreciated, and we especially enjoyed eating at the patio table on the deck! The wooded setting was lovely. The only downside was that it’s a bit off the beaten path, which fine for the adults, but it was hard for the kids (especially the 5-year-old) to get up the hill to the house on their bikes from the lakefront. On the flip side, it was very close to the pool! We would rent this home again.

Great cottage near the pool

We've been coming to Lakeside for ten years and really enjoyed our stay at this cottage. It was clean and had plenty of space for our family of five. The cottage has a large deck and is on a wooded lot with no grass, with a large stone driveway and easy walking distance to the pool. We had our bikes to get around as well (highly recommended). The first floor is spacious and has a well-stocked and efficient kitchen. There were a few puzzles and games and a clean carpeted floor. The first-floor bathroom has a bath/shower, so for little kids, that’s crucial. It was efficient but could use an update. The second floor master bedroom has nice woodwork and is spacious, and the second smaller bedroom has three twin (single) beds that worked great for us. There are high-end AC units in each that work more than well enough, as well one downstairs. The second-floor bathroom has a shower and was in good shape. There is a park right down the street and the pool is awesome. We rode our bikes to the lakefront daily (very easy ride) and the gated community aspect makes it a safe and low traffic place with plenty of benefits.
