Beautiful, clean, 1947 rustic Tahoe style cabin steps from year-round fun. Two bedroom/1 bathroom. Relaxing open concept living area with updated kitchen, comfy living room furniture, unlimited Netflix access, and high speed internet . Kitchen is complete with all the necessary utensils and cookware to enjoy baking, roasting or grilling. Direct access to deck, hot tub and grill from kitchen. Lake views from every room. The 2 bedrooms upstairs have a queen bed in one room and a queen size bed in the adjacent room. There is a queen size sofa bed in the living room. The yard is completely fenced for your furry friends. The large deck has a table for 6 with a great view of the lake. The lower garden has a wonderful propane fire pit to enjoy during the summer and two lounge chairs with umbrella for the afternoon nap or a good read. Enjoy the classic Candlestick Park seats on the very back deck. Best seats in the house. The cabin comes with 2 pairs of snow shoes, 2 Giant mountain bikes, 2 new 10 foot kayaks with kayak carts and all the kayak accessories, large beach cart and beach chairs. This cozy cabin screams Lake Tahoe charm. You can curl up with a good book and enjoy the views or explore some of the most beautiful scenic grandeur on this earth. Great hiking, mountain biking, skiing, boating within a 10 minute drive. Fun all year around.

Great host with a cute little cabin near the lake. Older style cabin, 2 small bedrooms upstairs with a small bath downstairs. Awesome back yard packed with a nice grill, fire pit, and hot tub. Plenty of room to sit out back and relax. Also, cabin has 2 kayaks and kayak haulers - no direct beach access but short walk to Kings Beach. There’s a small shed full of other gear as well, 2 bikes, some beach chairs, etc. The cabin is also pet friendly so we were able to bring furry friend.

Where do I even begin with our recent stay? I found this little gem during a random search, and my top requirements were that it be dog friendly and include a hot tub. This cabin checked every box—and then some.My wife, our kids, and our two small dogs drove four and a half hours through a small town to reach this adorable cabin with lake views. I read the reviews before booking, and we actually laughed at a few. Of course you may find some dog hair at a dog-friendly place—but it was not like walking into filth at all. And as for dust: you can clean a home from top to bottom, and an hour later, dust will still find its way back!The moment we opened the door, we could imagine it was our own. It truly felt like the family vacation home you always dream about—cozy, welcoming, and beautiful. With three beds and a fireplace, it was perfect for the colder weather.Outside was just as wonderful. The hot tub is only a few steps from the back door, and a few more steps down is a fire-pit table. We did not use the fire pit this time, but it is a great feature, and we will definitely be back in the summer. The only suggestion I would make for the backyard would be a privacy fence or some privacy bushes. That said, if the owner also owns the beautiful property and home behind it, I completely understand wanting to preserve that view.Inside, the cabin is beautiful. My only small suggestion would be adding one-way privacy film to the kitchen window.

My pup and I had such a wonderful stay. The lake views are breathtaking, the cabin cozy and the many different seating areas throughout the yard allowed us to always have a perfect sunny or shady spot to sit in and always with lake view. Everything is very walkable - we particularly loved the short walk along a side street to the dog beach. There also lots of dog friendly hikes in short driving distance. We couldn't have imagined a more perfect stay.

Everything was lovely and served our groups needs well. The lake views were stunning,. I wouldn’t have minded more paper towels. Unfortunately we never found the bikes. The kayaks were there and in good condition but the beach access by the property is private which means you have to transport the kayaks on foot five minutes down the road by foot unless you have a truck that can haul them. We had a child with us so that wasn’t going to happen so we weren’t able to utilize that amenity(kayaks/bikes) and was big part of why I chose this property and agreed to the price as it was more than other near by bookings. The hot tub was clean and thoroughly enjoyed. There are many other properties surrounding the cabin so there’s not much in the way of privacy. All the same we didn’t see many people and the surrounding neighborhood was very pleasant and made for lovely evening walks. Over all we enjoyed our stay very much. The host was readily available a check I was a breeze. The beds were especially comfortable and the kitchen well stocked with utensils. We also appreciated the clean and well equipped bbq and the fire pit was treat in the evening.

The Perfect Cozy Cabin

We are a family of 5 humans (2 adults and 3 kids) and 1 dog. This cabin was perfect for us! We loved hanging outside in the backyard enjoying all of the amenities and views. We also really enjoyed the close distance and relaxing walk to Kings Beach. The cabin had everything we needed and we definitely plan to go back and stay there again.

Perfect Getaway

We stayed here for an extended weekend. The location was great. The beach, stores, and restaurants were all within walking distance. The cabin had every amenity needed for a great, relaxing trip. Highly recommend for a great getaway.

My husband Mike and I have lived in the mountains for 35 years. We have always enjoyed the outdoor recreation, serenity and scenic grandeur of the Sierra Nevada Mountains. Many awesome memories have been made with friends and family. We have now fulfilled a dream of owning and sharing a rustic Tahoe cabin with family and new friends from near and far. The breath-taking views from this cabin and the many activities from our doorstep will leave visitors invigorated and inspired. Mike and I look forward to sharing ideas for exploration, good eating, community events, and/or special hidden locations for quiet reflection that only locals would know about. We are very excited to welcome travelers to Chipmunk Lodge.
