Summer Lane is an incredible waterfront property. Our home has a 16 x 40 second floor deck, underneath patio and fire pit area. Take in the amazing view of the lake as you sit in our Marquis Hot Tub with LED lighting. You will love the view from the second floor deck and hot tub as you can see for miles. The dining area seats ten and has a gorgeous view of the lake. You can see the lake from almost every room in the house. The swimming area is ideal because we are located in one of the only no wake coves on the lake. To insure your safety we have added a dock lifeguard shock warning system to our swim area. Serve food and drinks from the cabana on the dock where there is plenty of seating in and out of the sun. There is a large floating dock for your boat, or wave runners and lots of space on our stationary dock. Enjoy exploring the lake as you cruise the shoreline in our three complementary kayaks and two paddle boards. At night enjoy the lakeside fire pit area to roast your marshmallows. Every detail has been taken care of, and the quality of the home, appliances, and furnishings are unmatched. The expansive kitchen is fully equipped with lots of small appliances and everything you would need for that special meal. There are actually three refrigerators for your use. Enjoy the downstairs where your family can chill and watch TV or battle it out in a family tournament of foosball or air hockey. Enjoy the bar area where there is another refrigerator and sink. You will find Wi-Fi throughout the home. This home offers 5 bedrooms and three bathrooms also completely updated with new vanities and furnishings. We have a whole house generator to insure you are uninterrupted during your stay. We are off the main channel of Craddock’s Creek and you are protected by the no wake cove, but only a cove away from the most beautiful part of Smith Mountain Lake. The location is ideal and only a short drive to restaurants, boutiques, and grocery stores. We are one minute from enjoying the State Park Beach and attractions. Memories you make at Summer Lane will last you a lifetime!

Beautiful clean house that was well stocked. There was a gentle slope in the yard that made it easy to get to the dock even for older family members. No wake cove with easy access to the main channels of the lake. Lots of extras with kayaks, stand up paddleboards, air hockey and more. Plenty of parking and plenty of space for everyone. Nancy and Charles were excellent hosts and went above and beyond for our family. Highly recommend and will be renting again.

Great stay for families

My family spent 3 nights during Christmas and it was perfect, everything that is stated in the description was available. The view of the lake was nice and serene and the area is very peaceful.

Perfect spot for families

The location was fantastic, the no hill short yard leading to the dock with no trees blocking the view, and the inside was very inviting equipped with everything we needed. Will remember this home and trip and hope to stay again in the future. Thanks for a great stay

Amazing home

We had a wonderful time at this home. The kitchen is fantastic and has everything you need for cooking. Views of the lake are incredible. Would definitely stay here again.

A beautiful getaway

This property is outstanding. The views of the lake are amazing and it’s just steps away from the water. There’s ample outdoor and indoor space with comfortable furnishings and the kitchen is large and well provisioned. On top of all that the hosts are lovely—they reached out with recommendations right when we booked and were quick to answer all of our questions. I will definitely be back!

Beautiful home for a great vacation

The house is great and so well supplied - everything you could need. The kids loved all of the water toys and floats, and of course loved making s'mores in the fire pit. We didn't want to leave!

We found the home on Summer Lane to be the perfect getaway for our family holiday vacation.

We found the house and property to provide everything needed for a winter getaway. The hot tub and fire pit were perfect settings for family fun as well the kyacks. Even holiday decorations were provided by the owners! We will definitely plan a trip back to Summer Lane in the near future!

Great house on Smith Mountain Lake

Perfect house for time on the lake. Beautiful view from the deck. Kayaks were fun to play on the water. Fire pit is huge and will accommodate a large group sitting around the fire at night. We can’t wait to get back. House has lots of space. I highly recommend this house.

Great stay at Summer Lane

Our family had a great stay at Summer Lane for Spring Break. The house was clean and well appointed. The kids loved having the downstairs area for themselves. The hot tub was great on the cool evenings and the fire pit area was used for s’mores. We saw some bass from the dock but only managed to catch one. Highly recommend this property.

Wonderful home

This is our second time staying at this wonderful home for the New Year holiday. The kitchen has everything a cook would need! The home is comfortable and an easy walk down to the lake. We have a fantastic time ringing in the new year at this home w our family.

Beautiful view and beautiful home

We loved staying here! The views of the lake were perfect and we enjoyed them very much from the front porch, fire pit, and hot tub. The rooms were spacious and comfortable. We cooked great meals in the big kitchen. We drove 45 minutes to an awesome hike with really nice views (Sharp Top). Loved the house and the location. Would definitely come back!

Perfect SML Vacation

Our family has been vacationing at SML for years. One of the nicest homes we’ve ever stayed at! Summer Lane is the perfect getaway! Nancy and Charles have done a great job sharing their home. Exactly as described. Week went way too fast. We can’t wait to return.

Well-equipped Home with a Lovely Lakefront for Family Fun.

This home was the best-equipped of the homes that we have stayed at the past five years at Smith Mountain Lake. We especially appreciated the kayaks, paddle board and variety of floats waiting for us to use in the cabana. Seating is abundant. The owners are very responsive and are committed to making sure that visitors have an enjoyable experience at the lake.

This beautiful home on a pristine lake is a great place for families

We had such a wonderful vacation on Smith Mountain Lake, thanks to this beautiful house! Nancy was a pleasure to work with, helpful and accommodating. The house was clean, with great accommodations for large families and many toys to play with on the lake. We were out on the lake all day, enjoyed dinners around the large dinning table and made smores at night around the fire pit.

Beautiful home

The home was absolutely stunning and packed full of amenities. State of the art hot tub overlooking the lake. Nice fire pit area as well as convenient landing/dock area. Easily fit the 10 of us with room to spare. Kitchen was fully equipped. Had a great weekend getaway!

Fabulous Vacation at Summer Lane

Our family of 8 enjoyed everything about this property! Good cove for swimming and kayak and paddle board. Easy to dock our rental pontoon. Fully stocked kitchen. Extremely clean house and everything well maintained. There is not one thing I can say that isn’t positive about Summer Lane.

Lovely house

The house was just right for us. Its a very short walk to the dock. We weren't able to use the kayaks - it was a little too chilly - but they were available. We did use the firepit and enjoyed that quite a bit. Everything was as described.

Beautiful home, wonderful owners!

We had a celebration weekend of 50th birthdays with lifelong friends from September 7 - 10, 2018. The owners, Nancy and Charles, were so informative, helpful, kind and certainly put a lot of time and effort into this lovely home! They think of everything! Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend this home to anyone who will be visiting Smith Mountain Lake!

Lovely house with great amenities!

Our family just returned from a weeklong trip at Summer Lane and all agreed the home was wonderful! We enjoyed the swing by the dock, canoes, paddleboard, and hot tub, among other things. We had one rainy day, but filled it with cards, foosball, and air hockey. The kitchen is very well stocked and there's even a room off the kitchen with another fridge, coffee maker and cabinets. Would definitely recommend it!

Family Gathering

Our 2 daughters and their kids met up at the house to celebrate my husband's 70th BD. We live in 3 different states, so meet in the middle. We hiked, kayaked, went horseback riding, made smores and relaxed in the hot tub. It was a great fall weekend!
