With a prime location, this spacious home has many features and extras that will make your stay a trip to remember. Only 90 minutes from the Chicago area, Michiana Shores is home to quiet Lake Michigan beaches, lovely wooded areas and stunning sunsets. A private, neighborhood beach is less than three blocks away. Family park, tennis courts, and a drop-in summer day camp are within walking distance. New Buffalo, shopping, antiquing, dining and many excellent golf courses are all a short trip. A spacious and comfortable home perfect for a family reunion or to rent with friends!

•sizable screened in deck with both a comfortable seating area and dining area

Beach House Vacay

This was a perfect house and perfectly location for our yearly family vacation. Close to the beach, close to a park, and ideal for indoor hide and seek on the rainy day! Everyone in the neighborhood is so friendly, and the owners "lily pad" was a great new water toy that we all enjoyed.

Amazing stay!

We are so happy with our recent stay! A gem of a house. Spacious. Beds are very comfortable. Great location. The yard is wonderful. A beautiful well loved home. The host reached out at check in and was available if needed.

Perfect for Families

This lovely, comfortable, large house is perfect for family get togethers. All three generations of our family loved the house and all its amenities, including the large screened in porch and the flow of the first floor. The pretty beach is a short walk, perfect for sunset visits. The area is peaceful and friendly. Trish and her sisters were responsive and gracious. My grandchildren voted it the "best trip ever"--high praise for such well traveled kids! We shall return for sure.

Peaceful retreat close to everything

This house is perfect for a quiet family gathering. A couple of blocks to a very nice beach, plenty to do in the nearby area. The house was very clean, and the very private screened in deck was pretty much where we hung out. The deck was so peaceful in the evening. The bedrooms were sizable and beds VERY comfy - we all slept soundly. The house exudes charm everywhere. The hosts are very welcoming, and communicate very well. They also provide a lot of extras; games, beach equipment, etc. We would definitely rent this home again. Thanks to the hosts for a very nice stay!!

Perfect for extended family get-together

We had a really wonderful time at this house. There was tons of space, games, puzzles, lots of things to use down at the beach, bikes, and a great backyard. The location is excellent, near the beach, near a playground and the creek/nature trail. And communication with the owners was good. I hope we can stay there again in the future. Thank you!

5 minute walk to stop38 and panoramic views of Lake Michigan and beach

My family of 8 adults and 2 grandchildren stayed at this lovely home! So many places to spread out on the main floor! We loved the large screened porch with ample seating! The 5 minute walk to stop 38 beach was enjoyed by all! The 6 bedrooms were comfortable and clean. A basement washer and dryer and extra refrigerator are so helpful! We enjoyed every minute at this home and will rent again!

Great home for family gathering

Lovely older home in a beautiful heavily treed neighborhood. Great little playground/pickle ball/tennis park just down the street. Wonderful home for family gatherings. Great screened in back porch and open deck. Good kitchen and dining area.

Great home for family stay

We love this house and the neighborhood. Lots of space for us to spread out both in the house & in the yard. We were disappointed that the nearest beach was closed due to erosion and high water levels but were able to ride bikes & transport/drop-off beach gear to another beach.

Enjoyed our stay!

18 family members were able to stay comfortably in this large house. It has everything you need. A great spot to gather! The only thing was the listing mentioned the beach was so close, only walking distance. But these were all closed because of high lake levels and erosion. We had to pile 18 people and beach stuff into cars to go to beach and then there wasn’t parking. But it worked out in the end!

great house for family!

The house was well appointed and comfortable. Large kitchen and well appointed. The sun room made for a great gathering space. Location was great—- we were just a few blocks from the lake. The owners were very quick responding to our inquiries. I really recommend this house for families. We had our family reunion here and look fwd to possible renting here again. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Family beach vacation

Great house for a large family get together. Walking distance to the beach and a small playground made it great with small kids-large kitchen and dining areas- lots of rooms/ back porch for family conversation and games. Would highly recommend it!

Perfect family summer vacation home

Claire’s house is a lovely, large, well kept summer home on a beautifully landscaped lot just three blocks from the beach There was plenty of room for our large family of 10 adults and six grandchildren There was everything you would need or want for a beach vacation. Large house with plenty of rooms for a group and a very close walk to the beach.

This house is great for large group gatherings. There are plenty of beds and a lot of space to spread out. We enjoyed the large kitchen and the screened in back porch the most. The property owners are very responsive and answered all of my questions. We were able to fit 7 cars on the property with no issue.

Charming Home Steps from Lake Michigan

My family very much enjoyed our stay at this home nestled in a heavily wooded neighborhood near Lake Michigan. The house was bigger than I had anticipated judging from the pictures. The rooms on the first floor were roomy, uncluttered, and had plenty of windows. The Kitchen is large enough for a few people to work at the same time and has surrounding counters enough for seven to be seated on stools. Sliding glass doors on the back of the kitchen lead to the delightful large screened porch which has an uncovered deck extending further back into the yard. In the back of the yard you will find a basketball court which added to our enjoyment. A well equipped ping pong table is in the basement. We spent a lot of time in the evenings eating, talking and playing games on the screened porch and one of my brothers established himself for morning reading and coffee on one of the large wicker chairs. The second and third floors have plenty of beds and windows. The third floor is especially well suited as a dormitory. The bathrooms were clean and roomy but the only shower I used was the one outside not far from the porch. We enjoyed strolling, jogging, or biking through the wooded neighborhood filled with charming and elegant homes new and old. The Lake is a pleasant two or three block walk away and is as much a fresh water ocean as it is a lake. The home is charming and comfortable and very functional with an atmosphere of fun and family. My family agreed this is the place for which we've been looking for our yearly family reunion. Jim Bard St Paul, MN

Beautiful! Plenty of space for our large group.

The house was just the right size for our large family of 12 adults and 6 kids. Plenty of space for us to gather together but still have our own space. The walk to the beach was enjoyably short. (Short enough for even my 1.5 year old to walk it!) We had so much fun with the water lily and especially the kayak and paddleboard. When not at the beach we spent lots of time on the covered porch grilling and enjoying each others company. We really couldn't have asked for a better stay.
