Located in the quaint area of Quiet Water along the Yachats River. A Short walk to the heart of town, the beach and the river is right out the back door. Perfect for a small family or a group of friends. Get your fishing buddies together and fish right off the bank. This charming cabin has a Queen bed in the large open loft, 2 full bathrooms and 3 sleeping nooks. It is a one of a kind experience that everyone is sure to enjoy.

Warm, Cozy & Comfortable

My husband and I stayed here with a friend for a weekend. It has a wonderful ambiance - lots of warm wood on floors and walls and playful "fishing" decor. Great gathering space for games and eating together, and private cozy nooks for reading or napping. Very clean and comfortable. Quiet surroundings and an easy walk or quick drive to downtown Yachats.

Yachats Vacation

I’m afraid I can’t endorse this vacation rental. The VRBO listing describes it having a pool and hot tub. Unfortunately, they weren’t open during our stay and we weren’t informed ahead of time that they would not be open. We purposely chose this location for the pool/hot tub, so were very disappointed to learn this. Property management was very courteous it felt a bit dishonest.

Quiet Water

The house in Yachats that we stayed in (part of the Quiet Water Cabins community) was above our expectations! Quiet! Beautiful! With the Yachats River running 20 feet away! Really outstanding! I highly recommend it!

Yachats Get Away

This was a very comfortable cabin, retaining much of the original charm of wood floors, two single beds tucked into individual alcoves on the main floor. Master bed and bathroom are in the loft, up the curvy stairs with a great view to the kitchen and living area below. We did have difficulty operating the tv but may have been user error. We did enjoy music on the cd player and the selection of cassettes. Fun character, serene surroundings and well-stocked kitchen.

Nice location

We loved being close to short river path and also easy walk to beach. It would be nice if there were instructions about DVD player and maybe recommendations for local places. Instructions for leaving did not seem to be tailored for this particular cabin. There was no place to take the trash. No washer dryer so not clear about towels etc

Cute but dirty.

The place was darling. My wife just swoon over it. cute and rustic. Two issues. You need to replace your cleaners. You need to up-grade your towels and add a few was cloths. My wife left about ten test to mark where al the dust is. Everywhere. Last but not least. We should get the 95 dollar cleaning fee back.

It is near the beach and town so everything is in easy access. It has a full kitchen which we wanted.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The location is lovely, and the dwelling has a rustic charm. However, maintenance is something of an issue. Many plugs don't work, a bedside lamp has a broken switch, nightlight bulbs are burned out, the bathroom fans and other switches don't work, the cooking utensils are ancient and of dubious quality, the microwave is vintage '80s, there's a canoe without paddles, the cutlery drawer is precarious, the freezer had someone else's salzbury steaks, no salt shaker was provided, the rental agreement instructed us to bring our own toilet paper (thankfully provided), the downstairs toilet overflowed several times, the upstairs toilet seat isn't attached properly, no operable ventilation upstairs (including in the bathroom). None of these problems would be difficult or expensive to address – likely amounting to less than our 2-day rental fee.

Property wasn't ready for renters

Didn't receive check in information till after I called the morning of April 2nd and when we were on our way. Front and back porchs were filthy. Property management never came after they said someone would come and clean the porch. No lights outside front & back doors. Upstairs bathroom fan & light not working. Cobwebs inside and out. Not comfortable opening windows. We left it in a cleaner state then when we got there. If we didn't clean we would be charged. So I feel we should be reimbursed for the place not being clean and ready for renters.

It was a little more rustic than we expected but we warmed up to it pretty quickly. The river was very close to the cabin and the area was very quiet and peaceful. It had all the amenities you would expect in a beach rental, except for washer and dryer but for a few nights stay it wasn’t a big deal. We would definitely go back.

It is amazingly quiet yet so convenient to everything. Quaint cottage with cozy cottage feel. There were a few things that need attentiona but nothing that dampened our experience. We reported those things to the property manager and feel confident they will be addressed before the next guests arrive.

Riverside Retreat - Great for Readers, Family, and Friends

This is a charming well-designed cottage next to a little river and within short walking distance (or a five-minute drive) from the center of Yachats, a lovely little town nestled along a particularly interesting and dramatic stretch of the Oregon coastline. I stayed in this cottage a couple times this past summer and loved it each time: it is perfect for a solitary retreat, a gathering with three close friends, a family with children, or a couple’s get-away. It has a special heart-warming ambiance: wood walls/floors, many well-placed wood-paned windows, a wood-burning stove, , many shaded lamps and comfy pillows, quaint retro fishing decorative elements throughout, and a large deck looking out onto the little river and little community of similar cottages. Of particular charm are the three cozy bump-out nooks downstairs, each with a bed, comfy pillows, and a little paned window - perfect perches for adults or children to read, sleep, and dream. The upstairs loft is lovely, with a comfortable queen bed, bathroom with shower/tub, and a railing which overlooks the living room – cozy, yet spacious. Downstairs is another smaller bathroom with shower and an appealing, well-stocked kitchen which opens out to the rest of the downstairs, with plenty of seating options. Although there are no doors or sound barriers between the various sleeping areas, one can still have some sense of personal space, especially in the loft. I continue to have special memories of the cottage and hope to return someday.

Very pleasant cottage in appealing coastal town

This is a sweet cottage along the mellow Yachats River no more than five minutes by car from the little town and the shoreline. The cottage is one of several virtually identical, designed by an architect and placed in a pleasing group. This two-story cottage is ample for a family with children, or a small group of friends or others, as it has four sleeping areas isolated from each other (but not behind closed doors). The master bedroom and bath are upstairs while a second bathroom and three bed bump-out nooks are downstairs along with the kitchen. The whole place is comfortably furnished with a mid-century Oregon fishing theme for decor. A system of baseboard heaters and a small freestanding stove provide heat, while a large fan in the vaulted ceiling offers circulation, along with many windows.
