This beautiful, privately owned condominium is absolutely perfect for the Kauai-bound traveler. Here you can greet and close each day from your private lanai with spectacular ocean views. The Poipu coastline. Spouting Horn. The island of Niihau. Breathtaking sunsets. And seasonally, whales, dolphins and turtles.

From your condo you can easily walk to Poipu Beach Park with good swimming, snorkeling and white sand beaches. This condo is tastefully decorated, quiet and secluded with many of the desirable amenities needed for a relaxing vacation.

Activities neaby: Swimming, snorkeling, golf, tennis, horseback riding, shopping at Poipu Shopping Village and Old Koloa Town. Close to a variety of great restaurants.

The view and condo were amazing. A Chase lounge chair on the lanai would be a love addition and a sun shade for the afternoon sun. Other than that this was a perfect location and we absolutely loved our time here!

Beautiful Ocean Views

Cannot beat the location and amazing views. The lanai has two areas for relaxing and enjoying the views. It is a short walk to the beach and easy drive to many great restaurants, shopping and Koloa Town. Wonderful ocean breezes throughout the unit (no air conditioning). Noise was a factor with upstairs guests having a toddler and infant. Overall it is a very comfortable unit with a convenient location.

Wonderful view and relaxing sounds

This condo is wonderful. We saw turtles in the water every day and even a seal. The condo was clean, comfortable, and lovely. I would definitely stay here again.

It’s located in a private, quiet area, and we spent many peaceful hours on the balcony. Everyone we called or interacted with (check in, maintenance) was super kind, helpful, and responsive. If we ever have the opportunity to come back to Kauai, we would stay here again!

excellent views

we were less than 50 ft from the rocks on the shore. Great privacy on the second floor. no large crowds of people. quiet area. loved it. we made a new reservation for May 2022. it was fun watching the large storm and waves from our "front row" lanai.

You can just see turtles all the time in the water below, we also managed to see dolphins and whales.Otherwise the apartment is really dated. Bathrooms lack ventilation and bathroom located inside one of the bedrooms didn't have functioning door. It does have curtain. So yes, location and especially the view are incredible. Otherwise ok.

It is a superb location right on the ocean with crashing waves, beautiful sunsets and wildlife. The unit is always fully equipped and clean. Looking forward to coming back. Construction to the unit above us was a little unfortunate. The Coconut Palm tree pruners were fun to watch but they left a mess for the last two days of our stay. Mahalo

Sunsets, whales and dolphins, turtles and more!

The view from the balcony is incredible. We enjoyed wonderful sunsets in the evening and saw numerous whales, dolphins and turtles during the day. You have an amazing view all the way down the coast, and you can even see the Spouting Horn in the distance. It is within walking distance of Poipu Beach where we saw the green turtles come up on the beach each evening. The inside of the condo was even nicer than what was shown in the photos. For instance, the online photos show a very old-fashioned TV so we were pleasantly surprised to see a modern Smart TV, instead. We were worried that the lack of air conditioning would be a problem, but we found a nice cool breeze came through the windows and we were comfortable. Occasionally the noise of the footsteps in the condo above us were annoying but not enough that it would deter us from returning for another visit. The property managers were very helpful when the condo complex had planned maintenance that would have impacted our visit. Although it was fairly easy to pick up and return the keys my preference would be a lockbox or secret code so that we would not have had to drive first to the management company to return the key when we were headed to the airport. However, this place was so wonderful we hope to return someday.

Breathtaking Views

This property was a winner for us, it was exactly as described. The hosts were so accommodating!!! We were a 2 couples traveling in Feb. for a quick getaway. The price seemed very reasonable for the location and amenities. It is not a new property but we were okay with that. We knew we would be out and about a lot, the nice beaches are a 5 min car ride, we even walked to shipwreck beach in 20 min, the walk takes you by the incredible grounds of the Grand Hyatt. The location of this property is perfect, No air-conditioning but this was not an issue for us, it was cooler at night and we were there in Feb. so it was pretty rainy for a good chunk of our stay. There is a really small pool but we didn’t use it. We preferred the beaches. We picked up some fresh fish at a fish market and cooked some meals in our unit, they had everything we needed. Sat outside in the morning and watched whales. Saw the most incredible rainbow ever too!

Magnificent View!

We could see turtles and dolphins, which was really neat.The staff at Kauai Vacation rentals are all very professional and responsive. Great to work with all around!The condo itself definitely needs some upgrades. The kitchen is nice, and the bathrooms have been partially remodeled. However, it has old carpet, a broken pocket door to the primary bathroom shower and toilet (with a burlap curtain in place that doesn't even reach the ground). The condo could use a thorough cleaning - especially the dust build-up on the baseboards and old furniture. But again, the view makes up for all of that!

Right on the Water

Amazing views of sea turtles, dolphins, whales and rainbows 🌈 from our balcony. Prefect location in Poipu, walking distance to Poipu Beach, Brennecke’s Beach Broiler, Shipwreck Beach and the Hyatt, plus Whaler’s Shopping Village. Great value and size for the location, 2 bedroom, 2 bath condo except it desperately is in need of a major update. All the appliances worked, but very old and tired. The shower in the larger bedroom sprayed onto the floor because of half glass.wall. There was no fan on the second bath nor a window for ventilation.. We didn’t want to walk barefoot on the carpet as it looked really old. The condo grounds definitely needed more maintenance, just wasn’t very nice, but you couldn’t beat the location. So overall, we were happy with our condo. Missing Poipu already.

Property is one of the best locations in Poipu with 8 - 10 minute walks to both Poipu beach and Shipwreck. Marine life everywhere you look out the back of the Condo...Whales, Turtles, Dolphins, etc. Location just cant be beat. Unfortunately the Condo is dated and needs a bunch of upgrades/repairs. Lights in both bathrooms (corroded and dirty, these are 200 dollar items at home depot...get new ones already!!) Washer (rusty and the dial is seized up) Curtains over washer are dirty and worn out, Windows/sliding balcony door (Worn out and hard to open and close) One lamp in Master bedroom doesnt work, Electric Stove/Oven is very old and was dirty when we checked in. Under cupboard light cover by the microwave falling off constantly and is faded and warped, the coffee table book and map are old, tattered and dirty (Dining guide is from 2020), The electrical outlet/box in the second bedroom is rusted. Place needs paint inside and out. Wish I could post pictures in the review. Management company for the Condo (Kauai Vacation Rentals) are excellent (10/10) with great communication during booking, payment, etc. with easy pickup and drop off of keys and info at their office in Lihue. Its a shame that the owner wont maintain the property and spend money on overdue repairs and upgrades it could be a nice place.

Can't be Closer to the Ocean!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We stayed at Poipu Makai C-2 for 5 nights this last Thanksgiving. We visit Kauai at least once a year and always stay in Poipu (although we love the North Shore too!) for the guaranteed sunny weather! This was an excellent rental for a family of 4 with two small children. The master is very spacious with a sink and toilet/shower combo IN the room and the kids enjoyed the two twin bed situation in the second room. We were able to have early check-in and Kauai Vacation Rentals was always gracious and communicative as usual! We loved the welcome treat basket too with coffee and nuts! The photos of the lanai and exterior views on the listing don't do it justice! You can't be any closer to the ocean and have spectacular views of the coastline, evening sunset, a barrage of turtles (like 3+ at any given time in the water!) and we even saw humpback whales breaching one morning while having our coffee. Any meals eaten at home were on the lanai! TV was easy to use and not having AC didn't bother us as it was the winter and we just closed the curtains when we left during the day. Location is key as you're right in between Shipwreck and Brenneke/ Poipu beaches! Pool was just OK as it was very small and shaded all day, but thankfully our kids prefer the beach! Highly recommend this rental and would definitely stay there again!
