Get Swept Away into the Serenity of Kure Beach

Swept Away is located at 127 North Fort Fisher Boulevard right across the street from Kure Beach, and one block from the iconic Kure Beach Fishing Pier. It is newly renovated with two bedrooms (queen beds) each with a closet, one-bath, kitchen (full size fridge, stove/oven, dishes, coffee maker, microwave, blender, utensils). Eating area with drop-leaf table and chairs, living room comfy sofa and TV (with basic cable), dedicated WIFI, and Bluetooth. It has its own central AC unit for your comfort. Front patio with patio set and a gas grill (and charcoal grill) available for use. One block from local restaurants - Jack Mackerel's, Freddie's and Big Daddy's.

Stayed for a week with my family. The location was great, we loved being in the middle of local spots. The hosts were more than welcoming and gave us great hospitality. We enjoyed our stay and will definitely choose this location again.

My go to place when I visit Kure Beach. Terri is awesome! Easy to communicate with. The cottage is always clean, the A/C is COLD! Especially good during the extreme heat of the summer. Great, well equipped kitchen if you want to cook. Location is ideal to get to the beach, pier, restaurants. Parking on-site ideal to avoid paid parking. Excited to plan my next stay!

We had a great vacation!!! Mainly because of this beautiful place we stayed!!! The house is immaculate & fully stocked all you need is your groceries, clothes, beach towels, chairs & toys if needed. The house is in a great location & very close to the beach. Terri is one of the sweetest & she checked in on us through out the week to make sure we were okay. Sadly we did not get the pleasure of meeting Ed he was away on a business trip. We will definitely stay here again!!! Thank You, Terri for the welcome gifts they were very much appreciated!!!

Kure Beach Wedding

Location was perfect for us, we could walk to several restaurants and the pier was so close. Wish the beds were more comfortable. The owners were amazing and helpful. Would definitely stay again.

Lovely cottage close to everything

We had a very enjoyable stay in Kure Beach. This small cottage is comfortable, clean and well-supplied if you want to stay in for dinner. Even better, it is close to the beach, restaurants and the fishing pier. We were made to feel very welcome, and our hosts were quick to respond to any need. I would highly recommend this place for your stay, and we look forward to coming back in the future!

Perfect for our getaway.

We really enjoyed our stay. The property is perfect for 2 people. Very clean and well stocked. We got there late at night and bed was made. Very personable owners. Walking distance to pier and restaurants. Right across street from the beach.

Excellent Beach Stay

As always, Swept Away was everything that our family could ask for in a week long beach trip. Right across from Kure Beach Park and pier, we walked to the beach every day, did a little fishing and cooked in almost every night. Also, Terri was than accommodating. She it always so nice, easy to get in touch with if needed and will be there for all of your possible needs.

We had a great time at the little cottage. Everything went really well from check in to check out. There were 3 adults in our party. Communication with host was super easy and she answers very quickly. Kitchen had plenty of cooking items which was nice for when we didn’t feel like eating out. It is just across the road to the beach and just a block or 2 from the pier. Makes it easy to run back for drinks or snacks while you’re in the beach. Thank you for sharing your place with us.

Lovely place even with small issues.

We had some minor electrical and air conditioning issues but the hosts did their best to solve the problems. The electric was a problem that had to be solved by the electric company and the air was a fluke that the compressor malfunctioned. The host were wonderful and the cottage was close to beach access and very quiet and clean. The beds were small queens so if you are bigger people they will be tight.

We enjoyed our stay at Kure Beach! The location was great for the price! It was just a block and a half from the beach. Easy to walk! There was so much in walking distance, coffee, breakfast, a few restaurants, and the pier. Very laid back. The cottage was clean and neat and had a basic kitchen set up. There was only salt and pepper provided for cooking. The basics for pots and pans. Plenty of dishes, glasses, flatware, and cooking utensils. Plan on a grocery run if you want to cook meals while there and don’t forget spices, cooking oil, condidments, etc. The kitchen does not have a dishwasher.The 2 bedrooms are identical and each had a small dresser in the closet. The beds were very firm. If you like extra blankets and pillows plan to bring them with you as there were no extras in the closest. Same for beach chairs, umbrellas, sand toys, water bottles, ice packs, etc. We had an issue with the air conditioning on our 2nd day. Still unsure what happened other than it quit working. It took 6 hours before we had a response back from the owner. We ended up making a trip out to Walmart to purchase fans once the cottage got up to 84 inside around 10pm. The a/c repairman did come in the next morning around 10am and the unit was up and running again. Overall, it was a pleasant place to stay with basic amenities.

The front door had no deadbolt lock, making it easy to break it, which made me uneasy, and the inside door lock switch was very hard to set, it would get stuck. The bathroom was the smallest I've ever seen, very cramped. Every morning we picked up 1-2 dead roaches off the floors.

The cottage was beautiful and the hosts are really kind! Terri reached out to let us know about a local concert and gave us a calendar with gorgeous photos she had taken around the beach. We'll definitely book here again if possible when we come back to Kure Beach.

Home Swept Away from Home

We love the cottage! Perfect spot for a fall fishing trip. Walking distance to great food and the pier. 2 minute walk to the handicap beach access so bring your fishing wagon!

Beach Vacation

The location can't be beat. Easy access to the beach, pier, restaurants and shops. Park your car in the driveway and leave it. You can walk everywhere you need to go. The cottage has an updated kitchen with everything you need if you want to prepare your own meals. Definitely planning to stay here again.

So Simple!

Terri made our first visit to NC so easy! Throughout the entire process, communication was simple and helpful. Once we arrived in NC it remained simple. The house is exactly as described. It is clean, cozy, and within a block of the beach, pier, and restaurants. My wife and I could not have found a better fit. We are definitely interested in getting back to Kure Beach and getting Swept Away again!

We Keep Coming Back

This is our third stay at this property. It’s the perfect spot for our annual father/daughter fishing trip. Comfortable and centrally located to the pier, beach access, and local restaurants. Terri gives the best recommendations, from dining to fishing spots. We will be back again next year!

Kure Beach 2021

Great location! Easy walk to the beach, pier, restaurants. Sits back from street so it is very quiet. The property was the perfect size for a girls getaway with my sister. Well stocked kitchen (pots, pans, dishes, bowls, silverware), if you want to cook. Unit is behind owner's home, ample parking in the driveway to avoid paid parking in town. Will definitely stay there again for my next beach visit.

We have been Kure Beach residents for three years after relocating from Connecticut, and recently purchased our forever home in October of 2016. The cottage is located at the back of main property, so we are typically on premises or close by partaking in one of the many activities the island has to offer. We are avid fishermen, and spend much of our free time surf fishing or out on our boat. My husband is a professional who works from a home office and I am a photographer who can often be found walking the pier taking wildlife and fish pictures, as well as early morning sunrises. Our son, who just graduated from Cape Fear Community College, also resides with us.

We had been vacationing in this area for years, and when my husband had the freedom to relocate, this was the only place we had in mind. We were drawn to it as we are big outdoors folks who enjoy fishing, boating, gorgeous weather, and the sound of the ocean. The local residents accepted us with open arms and made us feel completely at home in our new home.

O que faz essa propriedade ser única?

Our new home just called to us due to its location. We are one-block from two fine restaurants and the Kure Beach Pier, and right across from the ocean where I can watch the sunrise from our front porch (and bedroom window), and fall asleep to the sound of the ocean.
