Dear Caroline, Prior to arriving, you had requested to shorten your stay (likely due to the rain forecast), and I had responded by asking you to honor the VBRO cancellation policy that you confirmed at the time of booking. I am sorry that my response frustrated you, which likely is the driving force behind your review. I agree that our home is in an amazing location (steps from the ocean and loads of restaurants/shops). I pride myself on providing a clean home to all guests. I am a superhost on airbnb.com and the majority of my 200+ reviews capture compliments of the cleanliness, and more than 80% of my summer guests are returning renters. Had you contacted me during your stay to raise a concern over cleanliness, I would have responded by asking the cleaner to return. The property was delivered as advertised, with stainless steel kitchen appliances, a fresh coat of paint that was applied on internal walls in Dec 2022. I supplied a fully stocked kitchen, a brand new gas grill (delivered June 2023), a brand new LG smart TV (June 2023), and loads of cleaning supplies. Guests are expected to bring their personal toiletries, but hand soap and dish soap are provided. I rent to many families with children, hence I provide box full of toys, a high chair and a pack-n-play. The house is not cluttered. As for linens, as advertised, I provide mattress pads, quilts, and pillows; guests are responsible to bring their own sheets and towels. Lastly, had you asked me about an umbrella/beach chair, I would have told you where to find those items if you didn't find them in the shed..
