If you're looking for the perfect place for your honeymoon, anniversary, or just a relaxing getaway, this is it! Our mountain home is nestled in nature with privacy and year-round mountain views on prestigious Town Mountain 2.7 miles from downtown (under 10 minutes) and 4 miles from the Blue Ridge Parkway offering gorgeous views and exclusive amenities for an unforgettable, romantic getaway. Perched at the top of the mountain, this passive solar home has large windows to bring in the light and the view from every room, a cozy fireplace to snuggle by, and Smart TVs in the living room and bedroom with Wi-Fi and cable provided. The kitchen has granite countertops, stainless steel appliances including microwave, dishwasher, and Jenn-Air range. Enjoy the convenience of your choice of Keurig or drip coffee maker, toaster, and blender. There is a grill and a well-stocked kitchen because this is our primary residence which we make available to others while we are away. With the city only 5 minutes away, you can enjoy a wide variety of restaurants, use Uber, have food delivered to you, or grill on the deck overlooking the spectacular view. The bedroom features a king size bed and the bathroom has an oversized shower. Available for rental with minimum 2 night stays, it is perfect in any season offering central AC and heat, gas fireplace, and radiant heat in the tiled master bath. The house was really clean and taken care of and the hosts were really easy to get a hold of and responded pretty much right after if you needed anything! Amazing view and balcony and absolutely loved the bed and bathroom as well! Definitely will come back again

Perfect location and views

This house is in yhe best location off Town Mountain Road. Peaceful, beautiful views, yet less than 15 minutes to almost everything we wanted to do in Asheville. I would highly recommend this property.

Absolutely amazing getaway!! This was truly a hidden gem in the mountains... private, beautiful, with everything we needed. The bed was comfy, the bathroom/shower was spa like but the views from the decks, breathtaking. We spent all our awake time outside from coffee in the morning to grilling and wine at night. You will never regret a stay at Skye Haven... and we are looking forward to visiting again in the future. Thank you Marilyn & Rick for sharing your home.

Perfect place to see the color of the trees

About 15 minutes max from Downtown Asheville. Place was immaculate, exactly how was described in the ad. Host stayed in contact with us throughout the stay, great communication and the view was beautiful. I'd definitely would stay here again, and would recommend it to anyone of my friends visiting!

A Perfect Weekend!

Our stay at Skye Haven was beyond fabulous! Our hosts were so kind and generous, ensuring that we would have everything needed to make the most of our stay. The location was spectacular with a peaceful, panoramic setting that made you feel like you were tucked away from all the day-to-day, yet only 15 minutes away from town and other activities. We highly recommend Skye Haven and we hope to return again soon!

Perfect romantic getaway

My husband and I spent five days over Fourth of July in this amazing mountain cabin. Beautiful views from everywhere in the home. The host were excellent in communicating with us and so helpful in things to do. My husband says the filtered refrigerator water is the best water he has ever had. Perfect for a couple romantic getaway. We will be back.

The pictures and description are accurate. If you like what you see on the site, you will enjoy your stay. The only surprise was how close and convenient downtown Asheville was. It seems there was nowhere that we wanted to go that was not just minutes away. And super easy to get to. Great place. We hope to return.

Breathtaking View

It was such a treat to wake up in the morning! The view from the large doors and windows was often cloud or fog covered in the mornings, but the sun burned it off early and the view was fantastic! Our host was very accommodating and made us feel welcome and at home. It was surprising to glimpse bears roaming the mountain—we’d never seen that before. Loved our vacation here! The Hildreths, Ft. Perfect Couples Getaway

My wife and I spent a week at this lovely property. Well suited for a couple with a very well stocked kitchen. The outdoor decks are great and had some of the most comfortable patio furniture we have encountered. Perfect for enjoying the awesome views. Well located about 10 minutes from downtown this is a perfect location. Marilyn and Rick were very communicative as well. We look forward to staying here again. Highly recommended!

Enjoyed Our Stay

The view from the house is beautiful and helps to create a very peaceful atmosphere. The house is great for a couple and has everything one needs for a short or longer stay. Marilyn is a very attentive host who makes sure everything is right and you are comfortable. We will definitely rent this property again if we return to the area.

Just as described!

We had a great time visiting Asheville and staying in Skye Haven. The property was just as we expected, the photos depicted it very accurately. Very lovely spot for a couple. The location was very close to downtown and all it has to offer. Marilyn was extremely attentive to any/all questions. The only thing we missed was laundry facilities. I never even thought about it until just before we left since we always had facilities but Marilyn did direct me to a local laundromat in the area.

Gorgeous view/location - great wildlife!

Had a great time overall! Amazing view from the back deck, quiet neighborhood and saw tons of bears which was really neat! Located only a few minutes from town and local grocery stores but feels like you’re miles away in the wilderness. Our hosts were very easy to communicate with, we’re very attentive to any needs we might have (which we did not), and were very welcoming. Very comfortable home with a great remote fireplace and very spacious shower! Would definitely recommend for anyone wanting to check out the Asheville area and even spend a night or two just chilling grilling on the deck.

Perfect distance from town!

I surprised my wife for our 10th wedding anniversary and booked this secluded spot. It didn’t disappoint!! Spectacular views! A short drive to downtown Asheville. We had a great time and Marilyn was very hospitable!

Beautiful place to escape from reality

This location was amazing. I saw a bear playing in the yard on the first morning, and 8 other bears within a couple miles of the house over the next couple days! The mountain views and quiet neighborhood were lovely. It felt like I was out in the middle of nowhere but downtown Asheville was literally just minutes away. The house was very clean and kitchen well supplied. The deck with fireplace right off the master bedroom was my favorite part of the house. Though I never met her, Marilyn was a wonderful host and so easy to contact. I would definitely recommend staying here.

Majestic mountain experience with city fun minutes away.

Skye Haven was a perfect choice for us. We wanted to experience the mountains but be able to explore the city easily. . The layout was very well designed and decorated comfortably. We had everything we needed and surprised by all the extra touches. We looked forward to just hanging out and enjoying the deck and meals in the sunroom. . We stayed a full week without a one hiccup! We hope to return to enjoy the mountains in a different season. Thank you Marilyn for making this a memorable trip for us!

Gorgeous place close to everything

I can't say enough about this property and the gracious hosts. The property is perfectly located. It has privacy, proximity to almost everything you may want to do in Asheville and incredibly beautiful views. It's well laid out and the hosts have thoughtfully and caringly decorated it. Further, the hosts are very communicative, responsive and kind. Their instructions were clear and all of our interactions were great. We would recommend this property without any hesitation. It's a wonderful, special place.

Wonderful home for weekend away

Everything was perfect from the advance communication from the hosts, the welcoming extras, stunning views, and comfy home! We enjoyed cozying up in front of the fire, sleeping in, and enjoying the spectacular views while eating breakfast on the deck. It was the perfect weekend getaway! Can’t say enough positive about our hosts. Fantastic communication and truly made us feel welcome.

Asheville has been our home for 45 years. Rick first came here to work after graduating from Appalachian State University in Boone, NC where he fell in love with the mountains. I joined him a few years later when I fell in love with him and the mountains.
Early in our marriage, we spent weekends driving on the BR Parkway, hiking, and having picnics at various overlooks. When we found this home, we realized there was no better view anywhere and being only 5 minutes from downtown, the location was perfect. I grew up in the country and this home reminds me of my childhood home. It feels like a world away from civilization tucked away at the top of the mountain surrounded by beautiful nature and peace and quiet.
Asheville is also known as Paris of the South. I taught French for over 30 years and we have traveled extensively throughout France. We both share a love for Europe, France especially – Paris, of course, but also Provence, the Riviera, and all the wine regions (Champagne, Bordeaux, Burgundy). We love the Biltmore House, the eclectic city-life of Asheville, hiking, and staying active, fit, and healthy.
Since we spend a lot of time at the coast and traveling, we have decided to let others enjoy our home while we are away. We love our quiet little neighborhood and hope that our guests will find this hidden gem as mesmerizing and addictive as we have and that they will want to return.

We chose this home because of its location (close to town, top of the mountain, facing due south, 3000 ft elevation, private, secluded and in a natural setting). It was a perfect blend of our desire to live in the country yet to be only 3 miles from the city. The first time we saw the property at dusk and watched the view change from beautiful mountains to a sea of lights, we were in love with it.

Our mid-century home offers unique features such as large diamond-shaped windows and wood ceilings with beams which harmonize with the natural surroundings, much like Frank Lloyd Wright's philosophy of integrating nature into living spaces. The hickory floors add warmth and character while the rock fireplace w/gas logs serves as a cozy spot for snuggling on chilly evenings. The expansive decks and cool covered front porch provide excellent opportunities for outdoor living and enjoying the stunning views that change with the seasons and times of day. Skye Haven is a cherished home that offers a unique blend of comfort, style, and connection to nature. It is a perfect place to celebrate a honeymoon, anniversary, birthday, or just a romantic getaway from the busy world.
