Super Location

The location of this unit was amazing and the beach/pool were just a few short steps away. The views from the balcony are incredible. Our only feedback was that this unit is need of updating.

Great view

The property had an amazing view of the ocean and the grounds had deer, rabbits and birds. Very relaxing and a perfect location.

Great place for a family gateway

Great location with an amazing view within walking distance to Coligny Plaza with many shops and restaurants. Apartment was clean and the kitchen had everything you needed for the stay.

Great location but very dated condo

Condo was in a great location on the ocean! Condo complex had a great a pool and hot tub that looks like it was updated recently. However the Condo was very dated. The kitchen drawers were also dirty. Communication with the property manager was excellent. I would likely stay there again because of the price of the rental was very reasonable.

Great location but condo is dated

Nice direct view of the ocean from the condo as it is up front and close to the beach. However, the condo hasn't been updated since the 90s. The dryer runs but doesn't dry clothes. It ran for over 2 hours and we ended up hanging the clothes to dry them.We have stayed in many Shorewood condos over the years and this one was one of the worst on the inside.It is a shame because with some TLC, this condo could be very nice.

Great location, dated condo

Overall, we had a great stay. Communication and check-in were smooth. The condo was cleaned as well as possible and well-stocked. The location was fabulous and the pool was great. My only complaint is that the condo is somewhat dated and there are mildew spots growing in the shower. This is a small thing and might be a personal preference, but there are so many knick-knacks everywhere that we had to put away and out of reach of our young children, making it kind of a hassle for families with young children.

An ideal location to relax

An ideal location to rest, enjoy the sunrise and sunset with the sound of the ocean for those seeking a peaceful experience. The property was well kept although needs updated sofa seating to enjoy visiting and viewing television. The online listing should encourage potential residents to bring their own extra paper products, laundry detergents and condiments. Other guests on balconies and in hallway areas need to remember their voices carry, so it was somewhat distracting when we are sleeping. We were not able to open the windows due to to missing cranks. A fan for the guest room would have been helpful in that case. The location is wonderful with nearby stores to get to and the many biking paths to enjoy. A listing of nearby locations would be helpful, as we drove around to find out what was near by. We left feeling refreshed and grateful for the experience at our villa!

Loved Shorewood, unit was ok

Shorewood resort is perfect for families. We traveled with 4 kids and the location was ideal to get anywhere we needed by foot. The proximity to Coligny Plaza, beach and local park made our logistics very low hassle. The pool is heated nicely and very well kept. The kiddie pool & hot tub were also in great working order. Overall, very laid back atmosphere with friendly staff and never felt overwhelmed with rules. The beach views from the room are wonderful plus we saw lots of wildlife in the dunes. PM was easy to work with & helpful when we arrived prior to checkin time. The unit is unimpressive. I knew it was a lower end unit when we booked as it was late and there wasn’t many options left. The cleanliness was somewhat troubling as don’t think it’s been deep cleaned in some time. I found mouse droppings and fresh stains on the carpet. I took the liberty of cleaning things off when we arrived because I was so uneasy about it. I am not usually a person who is a clean freak and have never made this type of comment about any short term rental but this one was bad enough I do feel future tenants & the owners should be aware. Also, the carpet is beyond its life; badly stained & honestly unsanitary. Overall, the unit is very dated & in serious need of some TLC by the owner & cleaning crews. We had a great vacation in HHI & didn’t let the quality of our unit deteriorate our trip. We would definitely come back again but 100% stay in another unit to fully maximize our experience.

Thank you for your review. Each of our properties have an annual clean performed at the end of every season. This unit will be deep cleaned again in August. We are sorry you were not fully satisfied with the cleanliness and would have been more than happy to send housekeeping back to take care of any issues you had if you had called us. We are also unaware of any mouse droppings, but will make sure to have the villa checked. We are glad you enjoyed your stay otherwise and hope to see you again in the future. Selena

Oceanfront view from 3rd floor, enhanced by a few palm trees that make the seen more interesting. Your view is over the dunes to the beach, not over a pool or grounds. Beds very comfortable, shower has good pressure. Kitchen stocked full of anything you could possibly need. Elevator 20 feet from door. Luggage carts available on ground floor. Pool and hot tub beside building. Gated path to beach from center of pool area. Gated parking, with lots of bike racks. Coligny Circle 200 yards away. I was worried about seating on balcony, if it would be comfortable, and it was actually very comfortable and gets you up above the railing for a great view. Wifi password on printed sheet in condo is backwards but a quick call to the office straightened it out. Fabric on couch an love seat needs new life but still comfortable. Chairs in front of large picture window very comfortable. Large nice dining table. Also stools at kitchen bar very convenient. Can close door at beginning of bedroom hallway and at each bedroom giving more noise reduction from common areas. Closet in twin bedroom had lots of beach item such as umbrella, chairs boogie boards ect. Merele with Sea Trutle Getaways was great and very helpful with helping us get a great rate through HomeAway.

Linens smelled very strongly of laundry detergent. Customer service was great. I would recommend this property for the view of the ocean, the pool, and the size of the unit. We enjoyed walking the beach, visiting Blufton, and lunch at Old Oyster Point.

We booked a property in Sea Pines for the RBC Heritage golf tournament and were called by the property management company an hour and half before check-in that the owners had booked the property themselves leaving us not knowing where we were staying after booking 6 months in advance. Luckily, they had this property open and moved our reservation here and offered free bike rentals. We were pleasantly surprised with this condo. The location couldn't be better. The furniture is dated but clean, and the king bed was very comfortable. The views were amazing and we agreed we would definitely book this condo in the future.

Great location with room clean and in good condition

The location is unbeatable with a short walking to Caligany Plaza. We can go almost anywhere with bike. Right by the ocean allowing us to dip into the water whenever we want to (we didn't use the swimming pool at all, but it seems to be very popular). The whole family enjoyed watching dolphins from the balcony. The room is clean. The sofa in living room is new and comfortable. Carpet may need update next, but acceptable. Management is very responsive and resolved small issues quickly. Overall it is a great experience for our family vacation.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Our experience with the condo was extremely disappointing. First off the unit is very old and needs updating. Furniture was dirty and uncomfortable to sit on. Though we were assured it was cleaned it was very dusty on surfaces, air conditioner ducts and the kitchen items were dirty and rusted. We had friends join us and it was embarrassing that they found some baby roaches in bath. We contacted management the first day we arrived and they never got back to us the entire time. Over all this condo needs complete updating, from couches to paint, appliances and kitchen. we stayed in another unit last year and were thrilled. The view and location are excellent.
