This beautiful luxurious 3-bedroom ‘villetta’ offers an idyllic retreat for groups of 6. Its setting couldn’t be more heavenly, with far reaching views of the central lake that encompasses the beautiful Bellagio Peninsular and the famous Villa Gaeta (featured in the James Bond ‘Casino Royale’ film).

Nestled in the mountainside between Menaggio and Plesio (in the exclusive Parco Dei Cervi [‘The Deer Park’] development), no expense has been spared in making this modern three-storey residence as sumptuous as can be. Designed with art nouveau style influences, the 150sqm interior is also fully-equipped with all the must-have home comforts, including air-conditioning, WIFI, SAT TV. Under floor heating to the Botticino marble floors also ensures guests stay nice and cosy here in the wintertime too!

The immaculately presented ground floor is adorned with antique pieces and art work, for a truly inviting home-away-from-home. An elegant sitting area provides a restful setting in which to enjoy quality moments together, with a SAT TV and DVD player on hand alongside a period marble art nouveau fireplace (not working). Ambient evenings in can easily be enjoyed here in the colder months, whilst the lake views from the picture window and the direct access out to the covered private terrace make this a wonderful spot for summertime entertaining.

The covered granite terrace also allows guests to wine and dine the day away, with a stone-built BBQ and alfresco dining area.

A granite-topped U-shaped kitchen is fully-equipped to offer all the must-have appliances for a carefree stay, with its open plan layout and its pair of bar stools ideal for relaxed holiday stays.

An ornate curved staircase leads elegantly down to the lower ground floor of the ‘villetta.’ Here one can easily be accommodated to the luxurious cosiness of a spacious guest bedroom, which is furnished with a double bed and a relaxed sitting area. The sitting area comprises a leather sofa with a 55-inch smart 3D SAT TV. The leather sofa can be easily converted into a double sofa bed, to provide extra accommodation if needed. This room can be used as a twin room if needed. WIFI access can also enjoyed to this floor and a beautifully finished en-suite marble bathroom (walk in shower) is also on hand for guest’s comfort.

Following on from the ground floor sitting room, the elegant curved staircase effortlessly flows to the two bedrooms suites of the first floor. Equally stylish and inviting, the two king size bedrooms both boast breathtaking lake views from a sunny L-shaped 9 x 2m balcony, which is furnished with a bistro table, sitting area and hammock.

Providing a romantic setting from which to enjoy a chilled glass of wine in the evenings, guests can easily walk from the balcony straight into the restful ambience of their elegantly furnished bedroom. The antique pieces add a touch of refinement to each room whilst a luxury marble fitted ensuite bathroom (walk in shower) complements one bedroom and an ensuite contemporary fitted marble bathroom (bath tub) to the other. Both first floor bedroom suites offer the additional comfort of air conditioning, from a state-of-the-art silent Mitsubishi unit.

The luxury holiday retreat further features a safe, laundry facilities and a private garage.

A large outdoor swimming pool (open from 1st June – 30th September and shared with 2 other villas) offers the perfect excuse to unwind in the sun, whilst the private garden of the property offers a tranquil haven in which to relax and enjoy memorable alfresco meals.

Mainly laid to lawn, the garden offers fragrant jasmine and lively shrubs alongside an ornamental bridge, a set of sun loungers and some comfortable garden benches to relax on.

From its picture-perfect spot nestled on Menaggio’s mountainside [7 minutes by car from Menaggio’s lakefront], guests are perfectly placed for reaching the tennis and golf as well as the modern day amenities, restaurants, family-friendly Lido and the ferry service provided in pretty Menaggio.

As well as offering easy access to the Milan airports, Lake Lugano and the Italian Alps ski resorts, the central lake offers a treasure trove of fun; with water sports, hiking, boat rental, horse riding, spa days, extreme sports and much more to enjoy!
