Villas del Rio is one of the most comfortable and convenient vacation rental houses in Sayulita. The house is divided into two apartments. This listing presents the downstairs apartment.
The house has daily maid service, air-conditioning and WiFi. The house is perfectly situated between the beach and the town plaza, so everything that Sayulita has to offer is just steps away: the beach and surf break, as well as the town center and all its restaurants and shops. Despite the central location, your privacy and a tranquil environment are assured due to the house's elegant architectural design.

The apartment itself is very elegant and cozy. It has a 1 Bedroom/1 Bathroom layout with a queen size bed in the bedroom. The living room couches are designed to accommodate additional sleeping needs. The kitchen has everything you need to cook meals at home. Convenient location, comfortable and cute

Location was great, but tended to be noisy at night. Conveniently located to beaches, restaurants and shops. Kitchen was well stocked and unit was clean and comfortable.

Cool place! Great location!

Really enjoyed this place. Everything you need and very clean. And what a great location for walking everywhere. No car or golf needed at all! Property manager is fabulous and so too are the cleaning and maintenance staff.

I really like this little property because of the proximity to the town and beach. The small tub/pool/shower in the front was great for cooling down. Communication is great. Little kitchen has enough to handle some basic food needs.

Super location, secure, and close to everything

We had a comfortable stay at Villas Del Rio. It was a short walk to the main beach , shopping and a variety of restaurants. Comfy beds and pillows. Very clean. We felt secure there with a locking gate. Easy check-in. The plunge pool was a welcome addition; nice refreshing water to cool-off after walking. We would suggest a railing or bar to enter and exit the pool; a little tricky if you're not super fit. A place to hang wet suits and towels would be a good addition too. Kudos to our host in suggesting top shelf transport to and from the airport.

Perfect spot in Sayulita

From the moment we walked up to the property we were impressed. The courtyard was well maintained, allowed for privacy and we spent most of our time enjoying our meals on the patio. The pool was refreshing and perfect for cooling off. The inside is roomy, clean and has everything you need to enjoy your stay, including a very comfortable bed. When you walk out to the street you are steps away from being at the beach or in town. Even with the close proximity to all the action, the property was quiet, secure and private. Our hosts were always available via text or email to answer any questions we had, which were not a lot due to their detailed email that laid out everything. I will definitely be back and rent this beautiful oasis.

Fantastic location and a great villa.

This villa was very comfortable and private. We stayed in the lower level which was nice. The a/c in the bedroom works really well and as Floridians we love our a/c. That being said after a couple days we really adjusted to the climate and it’s very comfortable in the main area without air. Open windows and ceiling fans are perfect. They only have the basics for cooking but we eat all our meals out anyway. This villa is in the absolute perfect spot. It’s a couple blocks from the main plaza but just far enough away to not keep you up all night. It’s also on level ground which made popping in and out very easy. I walked 2 blocks to surf each morning and a half block to some of the best coffe in town.

Great location in Sayulita

Great location. Close to everything. We rented a golf cart but didn’t need it. One block from the beach. Easy check in. Great communication. A lovely lady came to clean everyday. Great to have the kitchen area. A/C only in bedroom as advertised but not an issue and it worked well. We were very comfortable. Perfect for a couple’s get away.

Villas del Rio was everything we hoped for and more. It was very clean and comfortable and had the authentic Sayulita vibe. The location was convenient to everything and so close to the beach!! The owners and property manager were very accommodating throughout the booking process and throughout our stay. Overall, it was awesome. We will book this property again!

A gem of a place by the beach

This was our second stay at this property. Its proximity to everything, the cool plunging pool, the security gate, all add up to a great place to hang your hat in Sayulita.

Comfortable for Two

Villa was in a very good location, close to everything. Loved the patio and dipping pool. Property is well managed and was responsive to our needs. It took a couple of days to figure out the housekeeping routine, especially because the housekeeper didn't speak English and we didn't speak Spanish. But we figured it out, got our needs met, and both Vicky & Pancho were very gracious. Only recommendation would be that the downstairs unit doesn't have anyplace to hang wet beach towels. Upstairs has the stair railing that doubles as a clothes hanger. Recommend a folding clothes dryer for wet towels, bathing suits. Also the BBQ grill advertised was reportedly broken and unusable.

Home in the perfect location

It was great! We wanted for nothing (other than tv LOL) there were lots of festivities around us and lots of music (noise) as people have said, however always shut down by midnightish and really a not big deal at all. (we are in our fifties so old enough) Very quiet through the night. We felt safe here. Privacy was not an issue. Clean, comfy bed with air conditioner. We loved the location for everything. You can easily walk anywhere you need to be. No complaints.

Fantastic location!

Just returned from a 1 week vacation and was our 1st time visiting this surfing town. The location of the apartment is great - you are a block from the beach and in the midst of restaurants, cafes and market stores. Overall pros would include: - location and everything you need is in walking distance including small grocery store - apartment has all amenities including dishes, salt & pepper, soap, shampoo, conditioner, blow dryer and even some coffee though not sure if this was left from prior guests. We were presently surprised to learn that there is daily housekeeping who provides fresh towels - large purified water jug that is filled as required (before running out) - outdoor shower to rinse off after day at the beach - enjoyed happy hour(s) at the beach watching surfers A few cons would include: - Wifi is very intermittent - no microwave that would of been handy to warm up leftovers - the pool is small- more of a plunge pool and quite cold as does not get sun so we never used it - the main beach is very busy & ocean waves are intense so swimming in the ocean was intense and took a few spills. There is also smaller, quieter beach to the left of the main beach but still has large waves which one should expect when visiting a surfing town!

Perfect!

I go to San Pancho or Sayulita 1 - 2 times a year at least. This trip was solo for me for the first time, and the house was absolutely perfect. For a couple or 1 person or even with a couple kids, the two couches easily make twin beds in the living room. it is perfect! Or for more people, rent both the upstairs and downstairs units and have a secluded, very safe gated home for all. It was clean, internet worked great and the dipping pool/patio is wonderful. The master has A/C, which you don’t always find, so great nights sleep! Just like the pictures - no photoshopping here. The property manager, Jewel is wonderful and very helpful. Vicky, the housekeeper, just as wonderful and attentive daily. If you want an affordable option, right in Sayulita and a 3 min walk to the beach. Rent this! I will certainly be back! So glad I found it. Thank you Ruben (owner), Jewel and Vicky!!! (A plus, I met two awesome ladies/new friends staying in the upstairs unit.). Don’t hesitate. - Shellley (Chicago)

Hi, we are Sophie and Ruben. Not so long ago we came to Sayulita on a surf trip, and immediately lost our hearts here. We packed up and moved - with our two daughters - and never looked back.
We are originally from Belgium. We've lived for 8 years in beautiful Laguna Beach, California, and now we live full time in equally beautiful Sayulita, Nayarit.
