Villas del Rio is one of the most comfortable and convenient vacation rental houses in Sayulita. The house is divided into two apartments. This listing presents the upstairs apartment.
The house has daily maid service, air-conditioning and WiFi. The house is perfectly situated between the beach and the town plaza, so everything that Sayulita has to offer is just steps away: the beach and surf break, as well as the town center and all its restaurants and shops. Despite the central location, your privacy and a tranquil environment are assured due to the house's elegant architectural design.

The apartment itself is very elegant and cozy. It has a 1 Bedroom/1 Bathroom layout with a queen size bed in the bedroom. The living room couches are designed to accommodate additional sleeping needs. The kitchen has everything you need to cook meals at home. The apartment has access to a small landscaped dipping pool located in front of the downstairs apartment.

Great location!!

Thanks for a wonderful stay! The location of this property is amazing. It's right in the middle of town & just steps away from the beach. The owner (Ruben) and the property manager (Jewel) were very responsive to any questions we had prior to travel & awesome while we were there as well. We won't hesitate to book this beautiful property again!! Mucho Gusto!

Perfect Spot

My husband and I truly enjoyed our stay in Sayulita, this little apartment is set up with all comfort. Very clean, nicely decorated, picturesque setting and absolutely fantastic location! Right across the street from the iguana tree! There was everything we needed, including well functioning ac unit in the bedroom and hot water for the shower. The host has been very clear on the instructions and there is a very well done booklet in the unit with transportation info and restaurant reccomandation, it made it for us a very nice and easy vacation!

Close to downtown

The location had good points and bad points: the good was that we were close to the heart of town and the beach; the bad was that it was quite noisy due to music, vehicle traffic, and passersby, well into the night. The apartment is good size and comfortable. The table and chairs are outside, but the weather was great so it did not pose a problem. The property manager, Jewel, was very responsive and came quickly to clean out the drain in the bathroom sink which wasn't draining and to fix the internet. I marked the place down on cleanliness despite the daily visits of a very nice couple who came to do some basic cleaning. because some deep cleaning needs to be done. For starters, the bathroom curtains are quite dirty and the rest of the curtains should probably be cleaned as well; the drain in the kitchen sink and the underside of the stopper need to be scrubbed; the blender needs a careful wiping down; the frying pan should be replaced; the table lamp needs to be wiped off. I realize there is a lot of dust from the street in Sayulita and there is the salt air, but the place could have been cleaner. We didn't really cook except for breakfast, but the knives were sharp and plentiful and there were adequate dishes and utensils. There were sponges and soap provided, as well as paper towels. We had to run the shower in order to get hot water in the bathroom sink which didn't have a lot of water pressure. It wasn't a huge issue and we managed.

Perfect place for 2!

We absolutely loved our stay at Villas del Rio. It is a wonderful location. Safe and walkable to everything. The little courtyard garden and pool were nice to enjoy on a hot day. The bed was comfy, the air conditioner in the bedroom worked great. Jewel, the local property manager was lovely and responsive. The casita even came with beach chairs and umbrellas. We can’t wait to come back!

Checking in was a great! We showed up early, and Jewel (the property manager) was Amazing getting the Villa ready for us earlier than the schedule check-in time, thank you for that! “We liked the spacious Villa, large balcony, bedroom, bathroom and living room/kitchen! we liked how close from the main Plaza and area where all the restaurants and bars are, and far enough that we had quiet nights (great for a good sleeping nights), and the ocean just around the corner, perfect! will be back!

Everything was great. The owners were very nice and accommodating. It is a little pricey but worth it. Would have liked more information about the checkout process.

Super in every way

Lovley property in the heart of Sayulita!

We had a wonderful 4-day stay at Villas del Rio in Sayulita. This property is lovely and so close to everything you need...beaches, restaurants, shops, surf lessons, etc. The apartment was clean and comfortable. Having a housekeeper come by to clean every day is a nice bonus! Small dipping pool was great to cool off at the end of the day. Would certainly recommend this place to a couple or even a family with small children as the couches in the living room can be turned into 2 single beds. Look forward to coming back again in the future. Mil gracias!

Great location in Sayulita

Perfect location right in the middle of Sayulita one block off the beach. The accommodations were perfect for one couple. Ruben and Jewel were excellent in providing information and help during our stay. We will defiantly stay here again if available for our next trip to Sayulita.

precisely as describes in post, all essentials provided, clean accoms, fast internet, great location

I enjoyed my stay immensely. The apartment is secure and secluded. The location is amazing, right at the edge of town, couldn't be closer to the main center of Sayulita. Shops, stores and restaurants are just steps away. The beach access is literally right around the corner. I found the apartment in top condition, very clean and well kept. The bed was firm and comfortable. There was a constant breeze which kept the apartment at a comfortable temperature. I never had to use the AC. The cleaners were very attentive and did a great job daily. I was well taken care of by the manager too, she was readily available via text, to answer questions and offer advice. I had never been to Sayulita before his trip. I loved this town. It is quite busy, with lots of tourists, but I found there to be a very nice mix of authentic Mexican culture and food, along with American fare to feel at home. The beach is stunning, and the waves were so good to me. I had such a fantastic time, I am already planing my next trip back.

Cozy Sayulita Charm

Colourful, bright & airy. We were happy to be in the upstairs unit. This casita is literally 1 block from everywhere you would want to be, the beach, the shops, restaurants and a scant 10 minute walk to Playa Los Muertes. So convenient!! Bonus: a good view of the iguana tree out of the kitchen window! Check-in was no problem, Jewel was very helpful, and the unit tidied up every day was a treat. I would be happy to give this accommodation 5 stars if the kitchen items were updated with the addition of "glass" wine glasses. There are many fine eateries close by if you choose to eat out, all with great food & staff, the closest being Viva, at the corner, one of our favourite places. Also the Sayulita Cafe, Mary's, and many others. The beach is great, particularly for an early-morning walk to the far end bluff. Overall we thoroughly enjoyed our 3 weeks in Sayulita, the culture, the people, the food and the sunshine!

This was our 3rd trip to Sayulita and Villas del Rio is where we would want to stay on a return.

Just NICE.... super location, close to everything Sayulita and still quiet at night. We stayed in the upper unit.... very private. We wouldn't change anything....a good value too.

Awesome place Steps from the beach!!!

This Villa was very cozy and clean and soooo close to the beach. The location was very close to everything, but very quiet in the evenings. Daytime was great because you could hear the hustle and bustle of the small town. Booking with Ruben was very simple and smooth, and he responded very quickly to any questions I have prior to our arrival. He sent information about options for getting to Sayulita form the Puerto Vallarta airport, which was very helpful, along with the contact information for the Property Manager, Jewel. Jewel was also amazing! We had a few questions during our stay and she was always very quick to respond and very helpful in her answers. The pool and shower in the courtyard were awesome - clean, cool and refreshing. We rented the second floor apartment, and the tree from the shower view was always filled with Iguanas and I got some amazing pictures and videos of them eating and relaxing at sunset. So Cool! We tried most of the recommendations for restaurants and shops in the Guest Book and they were all spot on! I particularly like how they mapped out their recommendations along with where the rental is and where Jewel and Ruben actually live. Pretty neat. I would definitely recommend this place and we look forward going next November with friends so we can rent the first and second floor apartments together. Thanks so much Ruben and Jewel!!

The place is exactly as described. We were one left turn from the beach and one right turn from town

My husband and I visited Sayulita and stayed at the Villa del Rios. It is such a beautiful space. We love the location and though we were close to everything, once the bedroom door was closed and the great AC going it was so quiet and peaceful. The AC was a wonderful amenity, but the dipping pool was the major star. After a hot walk around town it was SO inviting! This is definitely the way to go. We felt very lucky to be staying here, instead of a noisy hotel. Jewel was so wonderful and helpful. We can't wait to go back!

Great location

We had a wonderful time at the villas. The location was fantastic. Outside the bathroom window was a family of iguanas which was really cool. I would stay there again and recommend it to friends. Thanks for having us. We loved Sayulita!

Great location

This place has an amazing location. The beach is about a 2 min walk and the center of town is around the corner. The layout of the apartment is odd but it works for a couple (I would not have more than two there); the view from the shower is a tree full of iguanas. My only complaint is that there was nothing in the apartment other than the basic linens and kitchen supplies (no TV). I am use to VRBOs having cards, games, books etc. In addition, an umbrella would have been fantastic since it was POURING down rain during my stay.

Hi, we are Sophie and Ruben. Not so long ago we came to Sayulita on a surf trip, and immediately lost our hearts here. We packed up and moved - with our two daughters - and never looked back.
We are originally from Belgium. We've lived for 8 years in beautiful Laguna Beach, California, and now we live full time in equally beautiful Sayulita, Nayarit.
