Welcome to the hacienda Abreeze. The bucolic setting of Abreeze sits on 3 Ā½ of the most spectacular hilltop acres you can find in all of Vieques. Boasting panoramic views of both the Atlantic and Caribbean Oceans, Abreeze is sure to appeal for its intimate privacy and spectacular vistas.

Abreeze is comprised of 3 private units: A studio apartment, a 1BR apartment and a 2BR apartment. This presents renters with a flexible array of accommodation options. Either rent whichever unit suits your needs, or bring a crowd and enjoy the entire Abreeze compound for your holiday.

Each unit is completely private from the others and has their own kitchen and bathroom (1 Ā½ bathrooms in the 2BR unit), and deck.

The 36ā€™ pool with gazebo and extensive deck is shared among all units. It has itā€™s own wet bar area, outdoor shower, charcoal grill and is ideally set overlooking the Caribbean Ocean and Bioluminescent Bay.

Located in ā€œBarrio Destinoā€, one of the most desirable neighborhoods in Vieques, Abreeze sits on the very top of the hill, located idyllically to take in the unique panorama with hypnotic views of Vieques Island, mainland Puerto Rico and the Caribbean Sea.The property is surrounded by rolling meadows and old trees. Given its unique hilltop location, the gentle trade winds make Abreeze a very comfortable (and minimally buggy) place to stay year round.

This unique island location is close to it all, with the best part being that it is only minutes from the main entrance to the National Wildlife Refuge area, providing access to some of the most beautiful, peaceful and pristine beaches in the Caribbean and the World.

There is plenty of parking and guests have full access to the grounds. A rental car is the best way to experience Vieques.

The Tropical Gardens include many varieties of plants, flowers, trees, shrubs, including: many orchid varieties naturalized to trees, four varieties of heliconias, red ginger, bromeliads, birds of paradise, bouganvillea,ferns, cycads, blooming vines, scented Jasmin and Frangiapani, Ixora, mangoes, limones, avocado, papaya, hibiscus, and many different varieties of palm trees.

A NOTE ON GETTING TO VIEQUES AND CAR RENTALS

Vieques is an island off the southeast coast of mainland PR. You must either take a ferry or a flight to get to Vieques.

Cars can be in short supply on Vieques, especially during busy times. We recommend you book your car right away.

We will not provide refunds outside of our refund policy if you are unable to get to Vieques from the mainland or secure a car rental.

A NOTE ON WATER PRESSURE

Abreeze is high up in a hilltop and as such water pressure can sometimes drop. We have no control over it. Typically the water pressure will drop temporarily and come back quickly, but intermittent outages are to be expected.

Location, location, location

I originally planned to stay in Esperanza or Isabel Segundo since thatā€™s where most properties were located. I feel so lucky that I decided to stay here instead! The breeze at night really did minimize mosquitoes (and there were also screens in the windows as backup). The property overlooked the whole island, yet felt way more remote than any of the comparably busy towns. The pool temp was perfect, and we had it to ourselves most nights. It was about 5 minutes to Isabel and 12 minutes to Esperanza - not just between the two, but SO easily accessible in both directions. Beyond all that, communication was great with both the owner and the property hosts. I doubt there is anywhere on the island that is soundproofed against the roosters, so reviews of various properties complaining about that noise made me chuckle, but I think this is about as remote as it gets. Would stay again.

Great stay with a gorgeous view

An apt name for this house. No AC, no problem as there is always a nice breeze! The studio had plenty of room for the two of us with a nice view off the balcony as an extra living space. Large property adds to the quiet, relaxing spaciousness. Yes, the neighboring roosters crow most of the day, but it's part of the ambiance and we grew quickly accustomed. Sunsets are stunning, great view of PR main island, Mosquitos pier and Esperanza. Easy access to Isabella II and Esperanza, close to the NWR and its many beaches. Chairs, umbrella and beach towels provided. Karen and Yadira, our hosts, were very accommodating and helpful.

Perfect Location and Beautiful Property

Abreeze was the perfect place for the vacation we needed. This was our second time to Vieques and only myself and my little boy traveled this time. The property is beautifully maintainedā€”inside and out. Our unit was clean, functional and tastefully decorated and the bed was super comfy! The kitchen is fully stocked with anything that you would need to make a wonderful meal. There was plenty of hot water the entire stay despite what other reviewers mentioned. Our stay was perfect! Andy and Angie were helpful and professional and made check-in and out a breeze. Location is perfect and close to our favorite beaches. You have a view of the whole island and it is absolutely beautiful! The pool was clean and a perfect place to relax after a day in the beach. The hilltop gives you wonderful sunset and night sky views. I would love to come back and stay at the property again with the whole family. Truly a wonderful stay!

A delightful place

We stayed in the studio apartment for two weeks and loved it. The building, pool, and grounds are meticulously maintained. Andy and Angie were the primary contacts and managers. The response to any and all of our needs was immediate and helpful. The studio: If you like light, breezy, and private you might love this place. The king size bed was very comfortable . Private parking behind a gate is a super plus. You don't need the gate for security reasons, it felt very safe and secluded, you need the gate to keep the wild horses out. The pool and new lounge chairs around the deck were a nice touch and made pool time even better. It is not an enormous pool, but it was just right for us. The views from this property is second to none. You can clearly see the Atlantic and the Caribbean clearly. Convenience. This property is a 5 to 10 minute drive to virtually every beach and restaurant.

This property is gorgeous. The views are amazing and area is very quite. I do think that the property should provide dish washing liquid, toilet paper, paper towels, and more than two shower towels. We loved our stay there and the property managers were wonderful!!!!

Loved Abreeze

We visited Abreeze many years ago when different owners rented cars there. Loved the property but never stayed until this trip. It is an amazing place in an amazing location. Nice and breezy, true to it's name and the view in every direction was spectacular. The owner Micheal was a pleasure to work with as were the property managers Angie and Vicente. We will be back, hopefully with a bigger group and use the entire place. ... Not to say it wasn't a great place to share with others. Had lots of privacy and easy to share such a huge space. Island Getaway...

We loved our stay at Abreeze. Very relaxing and comfortable property. While the coast was only a short 10-minute drive away, we felt far from the beach towns ~ just what we needed after four nights in Old San Juan near the party district! We felt very safe and enjoyed the breeze through the louvered windows. There's a nice small pool on the property, but we never used it. We did use the washer and dryer as well as the beach chairs and umbrella. There were no other guests in the two other units, so our stay was very peaceful. Great property managers too! Angie was super accommodating!

This was a very lovely property and space to enjoy. Sunrises and sunsets were gorgeous.

My only drawback was there was no verification of vaccinations. I was very adamant about picking this property for such reason. 4 young adults guests also staying at property were not vaccinated. I had to test before leaving the island. During these times and covid outbreaks you really should be more careful. I have a compromised immune system and if I had known when arriving I would not have stayed my total duration.

Perfect Spot on Vieques

The house setting and amenities were fabulous and the house managers, Andy and Angelica were extremely helpful and welcoming. We especially appreciated the ā€œextrasā€ ā€” beach towels, chairs, cooler and umbrella! The location was perfect too!

Reboot your life

Our studio at Abreeze was perfect for my husband and I. The king bed was so comfortable and there was a constant breeze blowing, day and night so no a/c was necessary. Even on days when it was hot outside, the studio was cool and breezy. The 360 degree view of the sea from the house was incredible. Horses wander the streets, which I love, and they seemed to like the pasture next to the house. We had our little dog with us and he loved the huge property and got plenty of exercise while we sat by the pool and read books. The managers, Angie and Andy, were so welcoming. They kept reminding us to call if we had any issues. They guided us to the location, which was spotless and had some of the basics one needs like paper towels, dish soap, etc. to start. There is a local store where you can pick up essentials just a short distance away and a larger food store about a 10 minute drive. Beaches are magnificent and close and Esperanza offers many relaxing restaurants. Having a washer/dryer was great- we didn't have to pack a lot of clothes for our two week stay. We look forward to returning to this beautiful vacation spot in the near future.

More than we hoped for...

What a wonderful vacation. The pictures are true to the situation and we had the most wonderful time. Spectacular views, the best beaches, great local food. We'd been to Vieques once before, before the hurricane, but the island is doing a great recovery. We'll be back and that's for sure.

True Story! Love this Place!

Abreeze will not disappoint! Favorite spot for me was the balcony at the room and it faced the west end of the Island. Loved getting up with the sun each morning and watching the island "wake up", come alive. Very, Very, relaxing place. You have a 360 deg view of the entire island and views of both the Atlantic and Caribbean Oceans just by turning your head from left to right, just beautiful. It sits at one of the highest points on Vieques and is right up against the Wild Life Refuge. All of the amenities are true to the description for Abreeze. Very Beautiful Place!!

We love Abreeze!

My friend and I wanted to get away for a few days And the abreeze didn't disappoint! We were so impressed with the tranquil grounds and the private pool that you can enjoy after a day at the beach. (Most beaches are a quick drive away and not very crowded at all). We felt like we were on our own private beach! The house comes with everything you need, beach chairs, umbrellas and coolers for the beach! The house is super clean with crisp sheets and great beds! It was so nice to make dinner and sit at the many eating areas on the property. The property is vast and has many beautiful flowers and trees to soak in. It is also plenty of room for everyone to hang out together at night. We spend many nights lounging in the living room and night swimming in the pool. The house also had all the bath towels and beach towels you needed for the stay. We would like to come back with our families! Thank you Abreeze for making our trip! We will be back again!

Wonderful beautiful place.

This is a truly special place. If you go there with family there is lots of room for the youngsters to run around. The beaches are quite beautiful but there is a pool on the property which is nice when adults are relaxing. The house is nicely appointed and the property and views are truly special. The owners were very helpful with info about Vieques, an interesting place. We will definitely return.

Abreeze lives up to its name

Once you enter the gate you find a hilltop retreat of openness and tranquility. Spacious grounds, fabulous views, and THE BREEZE is constant and relaxing. The big sky is offers you a panorama of stars, moon and planets. The villa is well furnished, linens are first class, fully equipped kitchen, dishwasher, washer and dryer, gas grill and even beach chairs to take to the multitude of remote, pristine beaches. The pool is a delight. You never have to leave, but if you do, the location is excellent. Never far away from restaurants, tour companies, wharves, fresh fish, snorkeling and sailing. We loved Vieques and we loved Abreeze and you will too!!!
