Wonderful!

We were a group of 8 adults & 8 children, the house was lovely & relaxing, with plenty of space for everyone, in a great location. The movie room was a hit with the kids. A little bit chilly for the swimming pool this time of the year. Communication was excellent throughout the whole process & checkin & out a breeze. Would definitely recommend :-)

Best weekend getaway!

Opulence was enjoyed by all for the entirety of the long weekend. The house makes for the perfect entertaining environment with the pool, spa and home cinema all on hand. Very convenient location just a 10 minute stroll to the beach and shops. The only down side was that Opulence wasn't as well stocked as previous properties we have rented in the past, that is, there was no salt and pepper, or other kitchen condiments that would have been useful. Overall an unforgettable weekend! We can't wait to book our next Gold Coast weekend away with opulence

Great to hear you had a good time and enjoyed the property. Stocking condiments is a difficult choice due to health issues and cost. Do we provide condiments and therefore we will need to charge more or do we leave it up to the guests to just bring or buy what they want to use themselves? At this stage we have chosen to not provide and therefore don't have to increase the nightly rate.

Fabulous location & Beautiful House

We spent four nights here for a girls weekend away (10 girls). The house was beautiful with a spa which was able to fit all of us. Beds were really comfortable with TVs in all rooms and the cinema room was amazing! The location was also fabulous with a nice coffee shop 2 minutes walk away and only 7 minutes into the tram stop at Broadbeach / Jupiter's etc. Only negatives would be that there was only 3 bathrooms which isn't enough for a large group of women and the pool was pretty murky (we could still use it and a pool man came to clean it a couple of times but it didn't really clear up over the 4 days). Overall I would definitely recommend this property and use it again!

Glad to hear you had a good time. The house is great and in a fabulous location. We have addressed the issue with the pool guy and a new sand filter has been purchased so a sparkling pool is back!

Beautiful property and location just needs a little TLC

Great 7 bedroom property, ideal for our family gathering. 7 large bedrooms and 3.5 bathrooms, 2 large living spaces so were not on top of each other. 15 minutes to walk into Broadbeach, with all the shops, restaurants and beautiful beach. Road wasn’t busy and we were able to park 4 cars on the drive and 2 on the road out front. View from the patio across the pool was impressive especially for all my English relatives. However the property needs some TLC: - not enough cutlery for us all to eat together - needs new pots and pans rather than the old worn out ones with dodgy handles - sink in the kitchen leaks and so we had to have a pot under it and empty it twice a day - noisy extractor fan above the BBQ which on the last night we could not work out how to switch off. My parents had to move rooms with the noise - not all lights in the family bathroom work - temperamental tumble dryer - balcony doors need some work to make them open smoothly We had a fantastic time but with the price paid we would have expected a maintained product, plus it’s not my job to ring a list of issues through to the owner .... the owner needs a higher level of attention to detail, as these issues have been reported through previous reviews.

For the money we paid we would’ve expected the property to be in better condition

Very disappointed in the condition of the property. The bbq wasn’t fully functional, most of the jets didn’t work, the jetty is rotting away, we were told we could fish of the jetty, my advise to anyone who’s staying not to use the jetty as my brother in law nearly went through it and injured himself. The door to the jetty opens the wrong way, dangerous when your entering the property as you have to stand back to open door, didn’t use the spa as it was very outdated and not maintained, the tradesman walked through to repair it without advising us, he accessed the property from next door when he should’ve knocked our front door, we felt our privacy was invaded, we paid a lot of money for our privacy, it should’ve been repaired prior to our arrival or we should’ve been given notice that a tradesman was going to attend on the day. The lights in the walk in robe in the master bedroom not working, back door faulty, had difficulty locking it hence handle snapped off. Property not very clean as swimming pool. Was woken up early every morning due to tradesman building next door. No did not have a good experience

Dear Tina, Thank you for your email and feedback in relation to your stay at Opulence on Broadbeach from 21/03/19 to 26/03/19. We always appreciate receiving feedback from guests so that we can strive to ensure that all of our guests arrive home satisfied with their accommodation. We are disappointed to read that you had some maintenance issues arise during your stay. As you can appreciate maintenance items do arise from time to time which is why we have maintenance on call and we do request in our Welcome Book that you call us and advise of any issues. We have now reported these items for Maintenance to attend. The listing for Opulence on Broadbeach states it has "waterfront fishing and sandy beach area for kids" the property does not have a jetty. It appears from your email that you were using the neighbouring property's' jetty. We do state in our Welcome Book that you do not access the neighbouring properties both for privacy and safety reasons. For pool safety there is a gate located on the canal side of the property and the gate is required to open this way by law. We are sorry that you felt the spa was outdated although in working order. The exterior of the spa did require some repairs as it is exposed to the elements, we do apologise that the spa technician did not knock on the door and advise you of his arrival. We have since spoken to him regarding his approach in future. We can confirm that the spa and pool were cleaned prior to your arrival. We note your comments in relation to the house being built next to the property which is almost finished, there is a high volume of construction on the Gold Coast as there would be in Victoria especially in residential areas and we do list on our website any properties that currently have homes being constructed next to them. This was noted (and still is) on the advertisement for this property. Once again we are sorry that you feel disappointed with some aspects of your stay however trust that we have been able to clarify some of these for you. We walked into the property and were in awe! It was what we were hoping it would be. It didn't take long however for our opinions to be turned upside down as the issues and problems begun to unfold. *ALL cutlery had to be washed, most were dirty with food still on them, the same for about half the crockery. *the floors were quite dirty and needed to be swept in some places *when you put your hand down between couch cushions we pulled out old stale food *under ALL couches and beds was a lot of dust and foreign objects like pens and food *spa water was dirty and stagnant and had not been cleaned in who knows how long *no TV in spa as per pictures *BBQ bin was left 3/4 full, objects in bin were moving due to so many maggots which smelt horrible *wheelie bins out front were almost full and smelt as though dead animal was in there and masked the front of the house rancid. objects also moving due to maggots. *downstairs toilet would continuously run *mattresses were all stained *shower in jack and jill bathroom was temperamental with temperature and we got about 2 hot showers out of it all week *spa bath tub leaked alot of water also had to get handyman to fix tap *mould under kitchen drainer *no shelving in garage fridge and fridge didn't get very cold *railing on back balcony on top level was not very secure *shelving in garage not secured to wall *underneath sink in jack and jill bathroom was filthy with built up scum & door didn't lock *one couch cushion had a rather large questionable white stain on it *stairwell banister was missing plugs on railing *water feature at top of stairs was mouldy and extremely dusty *dust on every single skirting board in the house *fan in downstairs bathroom had dust falling from it *large popped inflatable pool toy left on grassed area which we found upon arrival *cigarette butts left all over grass area *a/c vents dusty *arrived to full washing machine, unable to open door, no correspondence before arrival re this issue *all windows were dirty *behind BBQ was beyond disgusting. looked like it had not been cleaned in years *BBQ was quite dirty and unusable *dining plates do not fit in dishwasher so hand washing was required still for each meal *should a pool man have checked in on the pool water etc?? as this didn't happen *pool and spa filters were filthy *cinema couch was horrible, cracking and disgusting old leather *carpets felt gritty and gross I have photos of majority of these issues,

Amazing house downfall with the small stuff

This house is stunning and perfect for families. Though we had a lot of small issues which was frustrating. No non stick pans couldn’t cook properly Foxtel didn’t work most days Bath tub in main bedroom we had to get someone to fix the tap as wouldn’t turn on Hot plate on stove didn’t work Remote control batteries some didn’t work Had to get someone out to fix the spa as it wouldn’t turn on Dishwasher didn’t work properly over Side table in the front room is dangerous Upstairs back bathroom the shower head was terrible to use zero pressure. If all those things weren’t an issue then the stay would of been perfect. Future guests would appreciate the minor improvements

Excellent property

My sisters and I, along with our daughters, had an amazing time at this property, there were 16 of us. There was so much room we didn't feel on top of each other. The bedrooms with the walk-in robes were amazing the girls thought it so cool that the lights came on when you walked in to them. Happy to give my recommendation for not only the house, but for the whole experience, from the booking though to checking in and out at the end of our stay. Theres was plenty of everything, glasses, plates, cutlery etc. Look forward to another stay!!!

Amazing house!

Opulence on Broadbeach is a beautiful luxurious house with stunning views at night and the perfect house to enjoy a relaxing holiday on the Gold Coast. Elite Holiday Homes offer friendly and efficient service and I would thoroughly recommend staying here. We had an incredible time and didn't want to leave! :)

Stunning Broadwater Views

Opulence really did live up to it's name - this property has stunning Broadwater views with amazing outdoor entertainment space. For a large extended family to be housed under one roof for 7 days, this house was perfect in everyway. At no time did we feel that we didn't have enough space. Everyone's needs were catered for with the home cinema, large entertainers kitchen, outdoor BBQ and lounging space, large pool and spa. The views to Surfers Paradise from the outdoor area at night were breathtaking. A very well appointed property that is highly recommended. If you book this you won't be disappointed.

Great location

We had a great family weekend here in broadbeacg waters. The property was large, clean and had all the facilities you need for a large family. All of the rooms were spacious and gave the whole family to socialise and also have some time to themselves. Definitely recommend this property if you are looking for something close enough to broadbeach to walk to but far enough away from the busy centre.

Awesome property

we had a fantastic time. The house is perfect for a big group and well positioned just a short walk to conference centre, Jupiters, shopping, beach etc. Great facilities, great views, own theatre room - just superb.

Great time had by all

With 10 guests, the house fitted us easily. Great location, great views. We kayaked from the beach, went in the (heated) spa every day and the kids even hopped in the pool.

16 Golfers enjoyed a great week

This house comfortably housed 16 male golfers. The house was extremely clean and everything we needed was supplied. Spa needs upgrade but was used a lot.

Awesome property. Luxurious.

Awesome property equipped with everything you may need. Pools spa and theatre room were put to great use and there wasnt anything missing. Walkable distance to Broadbeach shops or even Jupiters Casino. We greatly enjoyed our time here and would love to stay here again. All in all 5/5 rating. Recommended

Great for families

We stayed with our whole family of 14. This included grandchildren whose ages ranged from 18 mths to nearly 5. The house worked well because king beds could be separated into 2 singles and that meant 3 beds in 2 rooms. Spa was well used and bats flying over at dusk added to the appeal. Good off street parking and a walk away from good cafe, playground and main shopping area.LED lighting in the house added to appeal for children. Recommended to large groups
