Bittersweet is located: 8.5 miles north-east of Downtown Asheville, 4 miles to gas and groceries, 9 miles to Black Mountain, 11 miles to gates of Biltmore Estate, 9.5 miles to Omni Grove Park Inn, 10.5 miles to UNC Asheville, 1.6 miles to Warren Wilson College, 24 miles to AVL Regional Airport, 86 miles to Greenville-Spartanburg International Airport, 117 miles to Charlotte-Douglas International Airport.

Bittersweet; a sense of pleasure tinged with sadnessā€¦but thatā€™s OK, you are always welcome to come back!

This homes boasts 4 luxurious king bedrooms, each with its own private en-suite tile/glass bath; dual sinks, and resort style glass door enclosed showers, plush towels and blow dryers. Youā€™ll sleep soundly on Tempur-Breeze Cooling mattresses with high-end linens and bedding, 4 king down pillows, complete with down comforters to snuggle under. Each bedroom has a flat panel TV discretely hidden behind custom cabinetry. You are in for an extraordinary experience! No detail has been overlooked for the comfort of our guests.

The outdoor space is AMAZING! At the center of it all is the waterfall (operation of which may be seasonal) with the calming sound of falling water to add to the ambiance. The pavilion boasts a wood burning fireplace (wood provided), flat panel TV, and comfortable seating. This is everyoneā€™s favorite place to be! Just off this area is also a wood burning fire pit (wood provided). The semi enclosed dining area and gas grill, lends a bit of elegance to outdoor dining and is perfect for those days when the weather just isnā€™t cooperating with your plans.

Asheville - Bittersweet

We had four couples here for an extended weekend. The property was fantastic. Easily the best VRBO property we've utilized. It was clean, modern, roomy, etc.... We didn't get to enjoy some of the beautiful interior common areas because the outside areas were so perfect for our group. If our group does Asheville again we will definitely be headed to Bittersweet.

We were so impressed with this home! We wished we had more time to just hang out in the beautiful outdoor space. It seemed all the decor and furnishings were really chosen with care. We were 8 adult women, sisters and sisters-in-laws so we all shared bedrooms but between the king size beds and large bathrooms, we all felt we had plenty of space. We would return in an instant!

Gorgeous oasis

Bittersweet is a gorgeous oasis of comfort, welcome, and tranquility, nestled in a lovely natural setting that is, nonetheless, luxurious and sublime. Every need has been meticulously thought of and designed into this beautiful home, with its epicenter (for my family) balanced between the outdoor living area and the large, inviting kitchen and dining area. The naturally designed water feature provides a constant, soothing background and lures a variety of birds and butterflies, as do the beautiful trees and landscape, which were blooming while we were there. The king beds were pure bliss and we all slept wonderfully well the entirety of our weeklong stay. And oh, the showers! The home, furnishings, and decor have been meticulously planned and cared for and is meticulously clean and in perfect condition. It is obvious that this is a beloved and well cared for home. We absolutely recommend Bittersweet as an oasis of comfort, luxury, and beauty, and would love to return.

Beautiful and well appointed home

We traveled here with our toddler and another family with a toddler and infant. The adults and kids all enjoyed themselves. The house is charming, very clean and has an extraordinary outdoor space where the adults enjoyed relaxing and the kids had a great time exploring. It is a 15-20 min drive to nice restaurants and activities. We would absolutely recommend it to other travelers.

Excellent location for a stay in Asheville

This house is in a very nice, quiet and secluded neighborhood. It had all the amenities you could ask for. We had a number of places we needed to get to in Asheville and Bittersweet was perfectly located so that we were within 15-20 minutes of any location in Asheville. The owners have a lot of pride in their house and it shows. if we have need to stay in Asheville again, we would certainly be pleased to go back to Bittersweet. .
