This is definitely a rare occurrence, we're going to blame it on the full moon / blue moon. The neighbors do have dogs, they typically will bark upon arrival then they settle down quickly. Please be sure to read all the rave reviews before letting just this one rule out what could be your perfect mountain retreat.

Hi Stacey, we always appreciate hearing from our guests, but the homeowner would like to take a moment to clarify a few things raised in your review: - The cabin is very well equipped for longer stays. We try to provide plenty of items guests might need during their stay including laundry soap, bleach, fabric softener, extensive cleaning supplies, extensive baking/seasoning supplies, paper towels, toilet paper, trash bags, zip lock bags, foil, plastic wrap, dishwasher tablets, coffee pods, creamer, flavored syrups, tea, etc. - With the exception of the living room, which has track lighting above the mantel, all rooms have overhead lighting and lamps, and there is undercabinet lighting in the kitchen. The track lighting over the mantle has a touchpad that controls the levels; there is a small sign indicating where the touchpad is. - If the damper is left open, it can smell of woodsmoke when windy. There are never ashes left in the fireplace. - Although we were not told of the bent hook, we did find it when you checked out, and it was replaced immediately. - The hot tub is maintained between stays, and we have never received any complaints about this in the past. We do keep hot tub supplies in the pantry just in case they are needed. - It is our policy to leave two rolls of toilet paper in each of the two bathrooms regardless of the length of stay. It is standard in vacation rentals for owners to provide a starter supply of paper essentials and guests may have to purchase their own additional supplies. - For overflow trash, there is an outside can in a secured container. The Welcome Book gives directions to the local trash and recycling center. Since this is a rural setting, there is no trash pick-up. - We try our best to provide a great environment for guests, but sometimes external factors like the neighbor's dog are simply out of our control. - It can take about 30 seconds for the tap to get hot water. - The European-style tub shower is stated clearly in the listing. The owners truly go above and beyond for their guests, and we are confident that future guests will have excellent stays!
