Sandy Point is an island like oasis of beauty and wild life that offers brilliant sunrises over Mt. Baker and the Cascade, to majestic sunsets dipping into the Strait of Georgia, San Juan and Canadian Gulf Islands. Feast your eyes on Blue Heron, soaring Eagles, gulls and sand-pipers, magnificent whale pods passing by and the many seals popping up to say hello.

Relax and enjoy the ocean view from this quiet cozy vacation home. Experience the ocean like never before with large windows overlooking the water and a huge living area with room for everyone. Vaulted ceilings, expansive layouts, a wood stove and wifi make this home great for any occasion. Enjoy your favorite meals and try something new in our fully equipped cooks kitchen. You will find everything you need and more while watching the waves lap the shore! Or, take your grilling talents outside to the direct gas weber grill, no propane tanks needed.

Sleeping arrangements include 2 spacious bedrooms with both king/queen options and 2 private bathrooms. You will have all the comforts of home with a centrally located laundry room and large walk in pantry closets for convenient storage.

Vacation getaways are the perfect opportunity to make memories and have adventures. A few ideas for activities are walks along the beachfront, a visit to the basketball courts and tennis courts down the street, rent kayaks in town or bring your own and launch in the convenience of your own back yard, or simply relax on in your favorite adirondack chair around the fire pit to watch the sunset. At the beach house you are only minutes from the amenities of Ferndale and Bellingham. You can find everything you need to hunker down and stay for a while. And, if you’ve absorbed all the peace and quiet you need and are looking for a metropolis city to play in, Canada’s spectacular Vancouver is just 45 minutes north, and then on to Whistler’s Ski Resort or south 90 minutes to Washington’s Emerald City, Seattle.

Beautiful House and Kitchen

We loved the beautiful open front room with the spectacular views of the Sound, and especially the spacious and well-equipped kitchen. The patio above the beach was also great, but difficult access to the beach based on a bulkhead of boulders.

Charming beach house

AMAZING! The first step into the house greets you with the beautiful ocean view to the back yard The host provides every amenity you could ask for. Full equipped kitchen, comfy beds in two cozy bedrooms. It’s a million dollar view house. Great neighborhood.

Absolutely spectacular. We visit Washington every summer & this is, by far, the best rental we have ever stayed in. The entire property was spotless, the kitchen had everything you could possibly need, the bed was incredibly comfortable, shower pressure spot-on, the beach and outside seating area is so beautiful & well put together and cared for. If I could give higher than perfect, I would!!

Comfort, quiet, home, and peace. If you want stunning views for morning coffee and evening cocktails, with peace and quiet, this is your place. My family lives in the area and they loved the location. It was the perfect size home for my wife and I, and my father stayed in the second bed and we all had room to spare. The patio looks out on to the water, Lummi Island and the best sunsets I’ve seen in a long time. Check in and directions were simple, communication with Jo was crisp and fast, and we loved every second.

We had a wonderful, relaxing stay at this perfect place. The views were amazing and the house was a great place to celebrate our anniversary. The master bed mattress was a bit too firm for our taste, but the second bed was very comfortable! Would definitely stay again!

Amazing Views!

Right on the ocean and one of the nicest VRBO's we've stayed in. Extremely well-stocked kitchen and very nice decor. Great restaurants and brewpubs are a 30ish minute drive to Bellingham. Or, visit the local fish market and nearby Haggen grocery store and prepare a meal in the chef's kitchen for water side dining.

Incredible waterfront house with amazing views

We were extremely happy and lucky that we found this place for Labor Day weekend. The house was beautiful and decorated well beyond what we've ever seen before while renting. The kitchen had everything, granite counters, and views that made it a pleasure to do dishes (or load the dishwasher). The beds were super comfortable and the linens were great! The photos definitely look good, but this place needs to be appreciated in person. The views are due west, so amazing sunsets, and we could see both the US and Canadian San Juan Islands. An additional surprise was opening the front door to Mt. Baker. We saw some seals, a whale that spouted and broke the water surface, and heard an owl both nights. Jo was very prompt and a pleasure to communicate with. Thanks so much for letting us enjoy your beautiful home! It went by too fast.

Gorgeous location and property

This home is beautifully furnished with a stunning location. We loved sitting in the Adirondack chairs on the patio and gazing west at the sea and San Juan islands. Beautiful place to watch the sunset. Or sitting inside with a crackling fire watching the wind blowing the waves. Extremely relaxing. The beds are very comfortable and it's quiet thus sleep quality is good. Throughout the home are many, many attractive decorator touches; overall it feels gracious and spacious. Truly a 'cook's kitchen' -- best knives I've found in a rental place ever. High end appliances, excellent cookware, dishes, glasses. It felt like we were staying in the home of someone with really good taste. We were glad to have brought our own champagne flutes as stemless just isn't the same. We also brought along comfy warm bathrobes and kindling/firewood. Easy when you're traveling by car. Wish we'd remembered the binoculars. We chose this place for a 40th anniversary getaway and are well satisfied with what we found here. Nicely done.

Swing and a Miss

We liked: pretty views nice new showers / good water pressure new appliances dishes / silverware / cookware / storage containers provided We didn’t like: no ironing board / iron (steamer not helpful) no toaster (toaster oven not helpful) no kayaks / paddleboards / bicycles provided no access to garage no A/C and no ceiling fans in any of the rooms had to call for trash to be picked up lots of closets locked up and/or filled with someone else’s clothes sun shades in living room / kitchen did not keep sun from heating up those rooms 15+ minute drive - Ferndale; 25+ minute drive - Bellingham 40-year old home that smelled musty / old (had to buy air purifier) living room couch - too old / sunken in master bedroom bed - too soft most kitchen knives were dull some information on Vrbo listing - incorrect (LFS Marine and the Willows Inn) We really didn’t like: Being accused by the property manager on Day #1 that we somehow broke the front door lock when we couldn’t get in. Turns out, her handyman had installed extra thick weather stripping on the doorframe that was putting extra tension on the lock tumbler which prevented the electronic lock from functioning properly. Once the handyman removed most of the weather stripping (Day #2), the lock functioned properly. The communications regarding the front door lock unfortunately set a bad tone that seemed to persist with the property manager throughout our stay.

While certain features like air conditioning are not available at our property, we offer 4 portable fans that can be used and while we do not have an iron and ironing board, we have a wonderful professional grade steamer, which many guests have enjoyed. We encourage guests to refer to the listing to ensure their expectations align with the services and features we provide. While all of our guest experiences so far have been positive, we take all feedback seriously and will review your concerns to see if any improvements can be made.

5 Stars All The Way!

This was our second stay at this property and, once again, we thoroughly enjoyed it and have vowed to return again. The home is impeccably stocked with everything needed. We initially thought we'd eat out most evenings, but with the onsite BBQ, well stocked kitchen and access to amazing local seafood & produce we ended up eating in every night - and honestly you cannot beat the setting - looking out over the rocky beach, enjoying a spectacular sunset and, on some evenings, a visit from numerous seals. Outstanding! As an added bonus the neighborhood is wonderfully quiet. There are many activities within a short driving distance and we enjoyed hiking, biking and kayaking. Highly recommended and looking forward to returning again!!

Long winter weekend at the beach

We had a fantastic time at Jo's place in Ferndale. The location right on the beach was wonderful and it was amazing to get up in the morning, make coffee in the incredibly well equipped kitchen, and watch the seagulls and eagles soar over the water. The house is wonderfully furnished and had literally everything we needed to make ourselves at home. Wifi. Sonos speaker setup. Roku on the TV. Freestanding wood stove. Every kitchen implement and tool we could have needed. Our daughter even got inspired to make cookies. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and will definitely be back!

Beautiful, clean, and right on the water

This is an amazing house. We stay at many VRBO homes and this one is one of the best. Very clean, with fantastic appliances, cookware, and elegant artistic decor. It was a little more expensive than other places nearby but when we arrived we knew why - this is their well cared for home that has one of the best views in the calm peaceful neighborhood of Neptune Beach. All supplies that were provided were great quality, soaps, linens, etc. no worry about running out of supplies like many houses - they provide backup and everything is so well organized. If you love to cook, relax by the fire, and decompress in front of the wall of windows that look out toward Sucia Islands, this is the place to go. Thanks to Jo for all the help and information while we stayed. We look forward to retuning in the summer.

Great weekend getaway!

We loved our weekend here! The views are just amazing. From drinking morning coffee and listening to the water to grilling and eating outside to stargazing at night, we loved every minute. It’s such an easy weekend getaway from Seattle, and we’ll definitely be going back!
