Welcome to Homestead - 28 Boulevard

This 3-story gorgeous home is incredible! Starting from the front door making the way to the very top floor. Homestead is great for big family gatherings and gives you maximum space for all your needs.

Homestead is located on the corner of our main street called Boulevard and Park Street. It has 3 floors, 4 bedrooms, and 4 bathrooms. Is full of unique design and has a fun atmosphere as soon as you walk into the door. The kitchen and dining room are bonded together and also connected with a farmhouse door to the back screened in porch that has a fireplace and TV. The master is downstairs and there are 2 bedrooms on the second floor. On the 3rd floor, you will find a little balcony and a bedroom with 2 twin-sized beds. This property has a propane grill for your convenience.

SLEEPING ARRANGEMENTS (Sleeps 10):

FIRST FLOOR:

- Primary Bedroom: King Bed, Private Bathroom

SECOND FLOOR:

- Primary Bedroom: King Bed, Private Bathroom

- Guest Bedroom: 2 Queen Beds, Private Bathroom

THIRD FLOOR:

- Guest Bedroom: Two Twin-Sized Beds

Homestead has 2 guest parking spaces. All additional vehicles can be parked in the parking lot behind The Meeting House, located on Boulevard or on Park Street.

Golf carts parked at the property are owners use only.
If you would like to rent a Golf cart, please reserve your cart online through Carts of Carlton at or contact Dr. Doos at.

All of our vacation rental homes at LakeStay are equipped with bed linens, bath towels, a starter supply of amenities, and a washer/dryer unit for your stay. Guests will have access to our community amenities: pool, hot tub, grills, inflatable water park, and seasonal kayaks-paddle board rentals. Please visit for water park and seasonal kayaks-paddle board rental availability.

Beautiful home. We stay in Carlton Landing every summer. This was our favorite home. We will most likely book this home again next summer even though we like to switch it up.

Great weekend getaway

Loved it! Great kitchen with everything you need. Very nice grill. So many nice bathrooms. Beds were really nice and great location. Easy walk to pool, coffee shop, and pizza place.

Beautiful home in great location

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had a great time but we were disappointed in the home as compared to the last time we used it about a year ago. There was one towel per person and one wash cloth At a cost of $1600 per night we were disappointed. The home is beautiful and we had a memorable family vacation. The fan blade on the porch ceiling fan was broken and could not be used. These conditions were reported and were told the one towel per person is policy.

Family vacation

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The house was great. Communication between the property management and I was less than adequate. Had no clue we had an uninvited guest that was staying in the apartment over the garage. Would have been really nice to know the owners rented that out instead of seeing the guy peering into the kitchen. Communication could have been more forthcoming and a bit more friendly.

Unexpected Roomates & Not Tidy

Rating Details: The property manager was adequately helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We rented the Homestead at Carlton Landing. Because we had rented in CL before, we knew we were supposed to get a welcome email- but hadn’t up to 2 hours before our stay. I called and spoke with Kayla, who was so gracious and sent me the email, as it had been forgotten. Kayla, also the CL director of hospitality, mentioned that her family lived above the garage at the house we were Renting. That’s something I would have liked to know beforehand, and honestly kind of a deal breaker. We rented an entire house for some privacy and that just felt awkward. She mentioned that she would keep her kids out of the yard, which I assume would be expected, as we paid a pretty penny to rent the whole house (we thought) with the yard. We we decided to go play soccer out back when we got there and there was a ton of dried dog poop all over the yard. Like you couldn’t play in the backyard that we paid for... and this is a “no pets” rental. I contacted Kayla and she mentioned that she must have forgotten to check her kids’ work... so I’m assuming it was their dog’s poop. So Kayla went out there and picked it up herself, which we felt bad about. And when my father in law was grilling in the backyard, her kids asked for a hot dog. Overall they were not a nuisance, but it definitely felt like we were infringing on someone else's space. Beyond that issue, the house had been cleaned, but not well. There were tons of marks on the walls that would have been easily swiped off with a magic eraser. And a dried booger on the staircase. There were cobwebs in the chandelier and in the corners and a pair of socks (not ours) was found under the bed in the kids’ room. The kitchen sink was missing a guard for the garbage disposal, which was a potential safety issue. The design of the house was amazing, as was the location, but overall, for what we paid (over $2,000 for 3 nights), it was absolutely not the lu

Great stay at Carlton Landing

This was our first time at Carlton Landing and this home met the needs of our group beautifully. The home was perfect, comfortable and roomy enough for everyone to have enough space. The two master bedrooms with large bathrooms were great for our 2 families. Kids rooms were well sized and comfortable for the kids. The amenities were great. Everything was super clean. The location of the house is central to Carlton Landing, easy to walk down to the marina, pools or parks. Good parking for trucks/cars and gear. Only setback: either need a coffee maker or provide a few more k-cups for the keurig. That said, meeting house is just a few houses down the street so that was an easy fix. Overall, a great experience and would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a large, comfortable stay in Carlton!

Great stay

The house and neighborhood were great. The house was really nice. The only things we wish were better would be updating some of the furniture and the coffee pot was missing the pot.

Property review

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was very happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: As a return guest, at Carlton Landing, we enjoyed our stay at this lovely resort. However, we have a few concerns. Firstly, our house was not cleaned well, upon our arrival & that was the least thing we would expect. There were bugs & spiders, as well as drawers that were unclean. The dishwasher, the free standing ice maker, & the frig icemaker did not work. We were required to purchase ice. The property needs some regular maintenance, so that all pieces of the house are functioning properly. We liked the fireplace, on the patio, but it was not working either. We were not made aware of someone staying in the property above us, therefore, our car was penned in for a bit. It would have made sense to know that they was someone else using our driveway. Additionally, we were very disappointed that the Meeting House chose to close, at the very last minute. The same thing happened the last time we were there. It is a beautiful resort & we enjoyed the walking paths & very friendly environment.

It was our first time in Carlton Landing and we were extremely impressed by the community, amenities and ease of exploring the neighborhood and surrounding area. Homestead could not have been nicer or more perfect for our family. We are looking forward to another visit, soon.

Family Fun Birthday Weekend

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Homestead was a great property! It has 3 stories with one bedroom on the top floor with 2 twin beds and a full bath. The second floor has 2 bedrooms and each one has it’s own private bath. On the first level there’s a Master bedroom with a large bathroom. There’s also a half bath in the hall. Everyone had a great time! We played corn hole in the back yard, cooked out on the grill, and enjoyed celebrating our grand daughter’s second birthday. The table seats 10 and the living area plus the front and screened porch were enjoyed by everyone. The location is also a real plus. We’ll plan to stay at Homestead again.

My Happy Place
