Orchid Blue provides the perfect accommodation for large groups and multiple families of up 16 people on heritage listed Fraser Island. This expansive elevated pole-home straddles the eastern slope of Orchid Beach Township, where you will enjoy a short walk to the beach, local convenience store, petrol station and bar. The home is spread over 3 levels with each having its own large deck. The top two levels enjoy ocean views where you can watch the whales passing by

The kitchens were a bit dirty and there were a few things that needed attention like having enough working cooking utensils and one of the toasters didn't work.It would have been awesome to have a clothes line for so many people having wet togs and towels every day.Loved that there was aleady toilet paper and hand soap in the bathroom and thanks for the chocolates!

Great home for larger groups

Property clean on arrival, and room options were amazing. It’s in a great location walking distance to the Orchid Beach trading post/pub. Teenagers loved the fire pit.

Excellent house

This property is in a great location and was very neat and tidy. The host is lovely and was very helpful with all the information we needed to have a great stay. Made our holiday very enjoyable!

Family reunion with friends

Orchid Blue is so good we almost want to keep it a secret! Incredible place and wonderful hosts The house is absolutely amazing: fantastic facilities and wonderful views. 15 of us fitted in well with the teenagersi n the loft, the visitors on the second floor and the locals on the first. We were woken by kookaburra, the whales put on a show we could watch from the balconies through the morning. The lorikeets and osprey performed aerobatics with sound through the day, The welcome pack was a bonus and the outdoor fireplace magical. Bring firewood, kindling and a good story or two. We look forward to coming back again. Jane and Mark, family and friends.

This is a large 3 level home that is ideal for two to three families to comfortably share. The advert is accurate and the house is well presented and clean. The decks offer plenty of space relax outdoors as well as the large front yard with fire place. Karly and Family communicate well and are excellent hosts. Orchid Beach can be got and miss with accomodation - This house is a hit! We will be booking for years to come

Friends Gathered for 50th Birthday Celebration

This house was perfect for our group of 12, plenty of bedding options and enough seating for us all. With 2 level we never felt cramped or on top of each other. We all enjoyed our holiday at the Orchid Blue house and highly recommend this accommodation. We will definitely book again.

Family Christmas

Great place, unfortunately house was extremely dirty and full of mould the bbq and ovens did not look like it has ever been really cleaned.Location to beach was further then indicated. Cameras on house so you are being watched at all times. Didn't make family feel really comfortable. Owners are great and communication was good. Not sure if they really know if it is cleaned correctly or not. For a larger home it lacks power points and alot of general maintenance. The family stay was enjoyable but we will not be returning to this property.

Relaxing

The house is well setup for a relaxing stay with a large group. The views from the house and the large verandah's provide a wonderful space to pass the time. The house location was only a 5 minute walk to the Trading Post. The Driftwood Bar provided excellent meals. The house has good ventillation and cross breeze as the humidity took a little bit of getting use too. Thoroughly recommend the location for exploring the island and a great place to escape the busy world as the location provided a quiet comfortable environment to enjoy time with family

Stunning views

The home is absoutely beautiful and the views are to die for! We were made to feel very welcome and the hosts truly now how to make you feel at home. We had everything we needed and more. If you have a couple of families or a big family like mine, you won't regret your decision to stay here. It's truly is an amazing place.

Lovely place

Super house in amazing part of the island. Great for large groups such as multiple families. House has everything incl. a great new outdoor fireplace and landscaping. Highly recommended

Large house in Orchid Beach

Stayed here with my friends (group of 12 adults & 8 kids) for 1 week. 3 storey house with kitchen on bottom floor and first floor. Clean toilets on both floors. View from the loft balcony and first floor was ocean views. Has parking for 6 cars out the front of the house which was perfect for us. Laundry and extra toilet on bottom floor. Water hose with hose reel made it easy to fill up our jerries and rinse car mirrors (salt spray) at end of each day. Beautifully appointed fore place at the front. Have pedestal fans in each room. I did find it not enough, but did the job. We did not have enough breeze during the week and was humid. Other than that we had one hiccup with electricity n water, but owner talked over the phone and sorted it out quickly. P.s - heaps of March flies if you are travelling in Summer.

Friends getaway

Very good holiday with a group of friends and our young kids, house is very kid friendly with gates on the stairs, kid safe balconies and a fenced yard. Location is obviously great.

Great location and accommodation

Place and location was fantastic, fridge was dirty and had a bowl of mouldy mince that we found at the back of the fridge on day 3 Apart from we have a great stay and look forward to staying at the house again
