Welcome to the Bird's Nest at Hillman Marsh in Leamington, Ontario! Available all year round you can enjoy this one bedroom cottage . Whether you are here to bird watch, enjoy the beach or just to relax, this cottage has it all. Located just 5 mins from Hillman Marsh, 10 mins from Wheatley Provincial Park, 15 mins from Point Pelee and downtown Leamington. Public boat launch and beach nearby. Large back deck has a covered gazebo and includes a BBQ and fire pit.

Stayed here with my son for a father /son getaway . The propery is very clean and well maintained. Its quoet and peaceful. Walking diatance to the beach and a short drive to most things.The host was very attentive , prompt and easy to deal with. I highly recommend this cottage. Will definetely return.

We had a great stay at the cottage - it was super clean and provided everything needed for our stay with many small details such as extensive bathroom toiletries, an extremely well stocked kitchen, a binder with lots of information about the area and some snacks to enjoy. As this was my first booking with VRBO I was happy that the pictures in the posting were a true reflection of the cottage. I would definitely recommend this property. Lisa, the host, was great at communicating on the app.

Very comfortable cottage near the beach

Tha cottage has everything you need, very clean with all ameneties. It has a nice beach in a walking distance and also other interesting things within a short drive, like Point Pelee National Park, ferry terminal to Point Pelee Island. We enjoyed our stay a lot! Thank you, Lisa!

Nice anniversary getaway

My partner and I were looking for a place to spend the weekend for our anniversary, and amongst payment issues and schedule changes, Lisa was incredible. She was flexible, accommodating, and lovely to communicate with. Now maybe we should have done some more research on the area, because it was quite buggy (we picked the wrong time of year), but other than that we had no complaints at all! Very close to a beautiful beach and a quick drive to groceries, restaurants, and hiking. We would definitely recommend staying here if you like no fuss comfortable accommodations.

A quick getaway

My wife and I wanted a few days to relax, unwind, eat mexicain food and do some bird watching. The "Nest" provided a perfect little spot to do all that. The owners were great to communicate with. And the place wss very clean. We have already talked about going back next year.

A little Piece of Heaven

If you are escaping the city, this cute cottage is the place to go. Lisa goes above and beyond as a host. The place is nicely kept and great for a family to chill for a weekend. I endorse this as a great place to unwind from a tough work week.

Fantastic Stay

Easy to find. An amazing quiet, clean. Had everyting we needed. Great location. Close to town, but not too close. Close to the beach and the marsh. Great little gem

The Birds Nest is a lovely little cottage that is immaculate, well maintained and well equipped with pretty much anything you'd need to enjoy your stay. At this time of year (Labour Day weekend) the birds, crickets and frogs singing provided the most amazing soundtrack for relaxing and sleeping!

Look no further for a comfortable, clean stay right by the beach!

This was our second time staying at the birds nest.. it was great the first time but has improved since! Lisa is so friendly and a great host - she goes above and beyond and truly thinks of everything to make your stay that much more enjoyable!! Her communication is amazing.. the place is also a literal 3 minute walk to a very private beach where we spent most of our time. We had a wonderful stay and hope to be back as we start our family ☺️☺️

Beautiful little gem

We had a wonderful little getaway. Cute cottage that was very clean and had everything we needed. The ac kept us cool in the living room and fans in the bedroom were awesome. So quiet and peaceful. Short walk to the water made for unforgettable morning coffee at the lake. Very pleased. Awesome communication with host and very caring.

Lovely Experience

My wife and I and our 2 children loved our stay at this wonderful little cottage. It’s cozy but not too small. Extremely clean and well maintained, with many great amenities—washer/dryer, dishwasher, barbecue, linens, towels, etc. Nice quiet location, about a 2 minute walk to Hillman Marsh Beach. It was less than 15 minutes into Leamington whenever we needed to pick up some groceries and supplies or if we wanted to grab dinner at restaurant. It’s located very close to Point Pelee National Park where we spent a couple of days visiting the point as well as hanging out at the excellent Northwest Beach. We also enjoyed sitting out on the front porch in the evening after the kids went to bed, it was very peaceful and relaxing. The host was easy to get in touch with if we had a question, but pretty much all necessary information was nicely laid out in a binder that you should read as soon as you arrive. We would 100% recommend giving the Bird’s Nest a visit if you’re looking for place to stay in this area.

Nice Place!

Very nice cottage. The kids were comfy, lots of amenities provided. Quiet area close to beach. The kids really enjoyed the board games and treats provided. Mom and dad enjoyed the cold AC and watching a movie while lying on the pull out couch.

We were happy to be back at The Bird’s Nest!

For a second year in a row, we chose Bird’s Nest at Hillman Marsh. Conveniently located near the town of Leamington, this delightful little cottage offers a charming escape and is the perfect oasis for relaxation. The cottage is impeccably maintained. The spacious and cozy living area has a comfortable couch and chairs, TV, DVDs, and board games for entertainment. The kitchen, fully equipped with all the essentials, a gas BBQ on the side deck allow for easy meal preparation and the gazebo offers a lovely spot to enjoy meals. The bedroom is a good size and comfortable, which ensures a good night's sleep. Located conveniently near Leamington, Wheatley, and the Point Pelee National Park, the cottage offers easy access to local shops, restaurants, and scenic walks. You may want to bring some cash with you as some fruit stands and even Taylor Fish Restaurant (yellow perch was delicious) accept cash only. The host is exceptionally accommodating, providing clear instructions and thoughtful touches that make the stay truly special. Having a pass to the Pelee Point Park was especially appreciated! This cottage is a gem, perfect for a peaceful retreat.
