Perfect Vacation Home in Sapphire Valley - Black Oak

Black Oak is the perfect home for your next family vacation! This one level, four bedroom and three bathroom pet friendly home has everything you need to make your time in Sapphire Valley incredible! The home is located in Holly Forest 6, a quiet neighborhood in Sapphire. From the level driveway, enter the open floor planned dining room and living room with plenty of seating around the large TV with satellite tv. Black Oak has a large kitchen that is equipped with a oven, electric stovetop, microwave, toaster, dishwasher, a Keurig and a drip coffee maker. The primary bedroom has a king bed with a flat screen TV. The en-suite bathroom has heated flooring with a walk-in shower, dual sinks, and a large jetted tub. On the other side of the living and kitchen space are the home's other three bedrooms. The queen bedroom has an en-suite bathroom that has a shower/tub combo and a large sink area. The bedroom with the two full beds and the bedroom with bunk-style twin and full beds share the hall bathroom with a shower/tub combo and a large dual sink area. Each bedroom has it's own TV, and there is wireless internet at Black Oak. From the living space, walk out to the large covered back porch with a gas fireplace and enjoy a roaring fire in seating area. Since this home is located in Sapphire Valley, guests can have access the resort amenities. Please see below for more details.

This home comes with the option to purchase Sapphire Valley Resort amenities. These amenities are not at the home. They are in a separate drivable location. You may join for $5/day or $25/week per person. Your amenity card will allow access to 2 outdoor swimming pools, one indoor heated pool, 2 hot tubs, wet sauna, exercise room, arcade, ping pong, outdoor miniature golf, horseshoes, basketball courts, tennis/pickleball courts, playground, track, picnic tables, community center, organized excursions to Cherokee and the Biltmore House in Asheville, a 9 hole (par 3) golf course, Zip-Lining, High Ropes Course, Fairfield Lake boating amenities and discounts on ski lift tickets and ski equipment rentals during the winter season.

Your reservation includes a damage protection plan. The damage protection plan is $50, and it covers up to $3,000 in damages. In lieu of purchasing the damage protection plan, guests have the option to choose a refundable security deposit. If you would like to pay a refundable security deposit, please contact us. The security deposit is $500 and will be administered subject to the NC Tenant Security Deposit Act.

This was a great house for my family of 5 adults. We all agreed we would stay here again. There was plenty of room to spread out, well stocked kitchen, comfortable beds. The special holiday amenities were a nice touch!

Everything about this property was perfect! The house itself had a perfect layout for our traveling companions with four spacious bedrooms. The decor was very nice as well. There isnā€™t anything that we could have asked for as far as household items. They really thought of everything that you might possibly need when staying away from home. Everyone from our group loved the time we spent at this property and we all agreed that we would stay here again. Thank you for a wonderful experience.

My family really liked the layout and size of the house. My grandkids enjoyed exploring in the woods behind the house. We would stay there again. The out side gas fireplace would not come on for me. That needs to be addressed.

Perfect Location!

This was a great property for my family! We enjoyed the convenience of the numerous amenities in Sapphire Valley, the outdoor concerts in Cashiers and boating on Lake Glenville. Just as advertised and had everything we needed.

Had a great time Love the covered porch! Only suggestion would be a fire ring. I didn't notice when we booked that it doesn't have one. Our grandkids love to roast marshmallows. Also need a regular toaster

Great accommodations, not well cleaned

Accommodations were better than expected. However, the master bathroom shower had mold in the grout. After shower, feet were black. The stove had one setting - very high flame regardless of how the dial was turned on all 5 burners.

Labor Day Heat Escape from the MS coast

The property exceeded our expectations. Everything was as described. We waited very late Friday to book the property for the Labor Day Weekend and VRBO allowed us to check in Saturday. After booking we requested to add Friday with both VRBO and the property manager, Landmark Vacation Rentals. Their approval came within half an hour. They were so accomodating. We did not need to reach out to them b/c the instructions were so clean and the Electonics in the home hand notes and instructions on how to use (so helpful). We were prepared to have to stay in a hotel since we booked late but Landmark and VRBO made it so easy and responded so quickly. It was just what we wanted for 4 nights.

Mountain Retreat

The property was spacious and well equipped. We loved the back porch! Only negative was a visit by a bear the first night. He entered all our cars and left blood splotches. He did, however, clean out all garbage left in the cars. He tried to get in the front door also (we could tell by bloody paw prints). Good thing it was locked. So be bear aware!

Very pleasant stay!

The house was clean and very comfortable, plenty of room for our large group. The layout was great. The children in the group appreciated the pool at the community building, and others made use of the golf course. Very pretty area for hiking. We would return.

Beautiful Home, Beautiful Location

We had a wonderful time at the house in Sapphire. It was supper clean and as beautiful and comfortable as the pictures in the online listing indicated. Although there are other houses nearby, the neighborhood was very quiet and peaceful. We especially loved the large comfortable living room, the garden tub in the master bedroom, and the large covered back porch with the gas fireplace. We had fun visiting waterfalls and white water rafting.

Wonderful long weekend stay for three couples. Loves this property and that everyone was on the same level for common space but all separate bed and bathrooms. Back porch and fireplace was a great gathering place for us to enjoy in mornings and evenings after we returned. Great access between the lake and hiking around Cashiers. Thanks again for a wonderful stay!

Excellent property, will stay again!

The house had everything we needed! We were 3 couples, and there was plenty of space for all. The kitchen has more than we needed! Large serving bowls and platters, lots of cookware, enough plates, utensils and glasses for dozens! The back deck was the perfect location to eat and relax in front of the gas fireplace after a day of hiking. And the location is perfect for spectacular waterfall hiking! We can't wait to return!

Very nice home, description and pictures matched our expectations. Having soaps and paper towels etc were great. Even had coffee and filters so we didnā€™t have to run out to grocery right away. Back porch was very relaxing and spacious, comfortable beds and great location
