Beautiful house

The property was beautiful and easy to get to. Whenever there were questions or problems we received an immediate response. It was a short walk to the beach and everything we needed was there for our use. We would definitely book again, if going back to the area.

clean and big

My wife appreciates a clean home and as soon as we walked in you could tell the house was well maintained and clean. The rooms were all larger that they appeared in the pictures. Plenty of chairs in the garage if you forget some. The beach for us was most important and it was less that 5 min walk, nice soft sand, not crowded. A nice sitting area on the back deck was plenty big and there is a fire pit with seating in the back yard. We didn't take advantage, bc the heat index was 100 on a couple of the days. The local area wasn't too crowded with visitors, even the week of the 4th of July. Not sure what VA Beach is like, but I would imagine more crowded. So, low key. Walked into a good seafood restaurant and didn't have to wait for a table, it was busy though. This was our first house rental and it was a positive experience. If we're ever staying in the area again, we would book the house again for sure. Thank you

Splendid

I am OCD in cleanliness. This house is very well kept, pretty, accessible to the beach, and so appealing to the eye. Communication was exemplary. I loved the house. Off street parking is important to me and I definitely had it here. My sheets were nice and soft. The dishes and glasses were very clean. Little added touches that I loved were the swings in the backyard, the kayaks and bikes. I love options and my wish was granted here. I will definitely repeat my stay here again. Book this beauty and you will not be disappointed.

Great House

This is a great house with a fantastic outdoor deck. They provided corn hole and the ladder game which we enjoyed. The house was very clean and nicely equipped, making it easy to prepare meals at the house.

Sleepless in Norfolk

Located in a mixed media, residential area~ with homes, apts, industrial sites 5 min by car to the marina. Not a home for mixed aged families as everything is by steep stairs-the front steps, the bedrooms are all up another steep stairwell, the garage is down and up another steep flight of stairs. While the house was spotless, the sheets were not washed on any of the beds. We figure that if we were paying a cleaning fee we should at least have clean sheets. These sheets did not smell or feel fresh. Also when one family member opened the kitchen door into the garage, he was greeted by a giant “ Trespassing sign- "You are being watch but security cameras” which begged the question as to whether the entire stay was under surveillance. No, we would not stay again- the lack of clean sheets was the ultimate deal breaker.

Clean, well cared for home.

This property was very clean and well-cared for. We loved the covered porch and very much appreciated the special extra's that this rental had, i.e. beach chairs, cooler, beach towels, and yard games. There was plenty of room to spread out. We did find that kitchen was a little low on supplies, i.e. salt, trash bags, dishwashing soap, etc. Main criticism would be that it would be nice to have more than one bathing towel available for each guest. Good communication with owner.

Repeat Customers

This was our second stay at the 13th Bay Street house. We were there last year, loved it so much.... we came back! This is a new house and is perfect for grandparents with an additional young family. The fenced in back yard was perfect for the 2 small children, kitchen facilities can't be beat and an easy 1.5 block walk to the beach. The beach is clean, quiet and the access is right there, at the traffic light, so no battling traffic. You won't be disappointed. Personally, we like the quiet neighborhood of Ocean View Beach in comparison to the touristy Virginia Beach area.

Gorgeous Home, Responsive Host

Beautiful, clean well-appointed 4 BR 2 and a 1/2 bath home with great yard and deck. Gorgeous kitchen with everything you could want! Enough dinnerware, glasses, etc to serve 20, I would guess. Quiet residential neighborhood 2 blocks from a nice, quiet, family-oriented beach. We enjoyed the kayaks several times and the kids enjoyed the boogey boards. Husband had hoped to fish, but the pole was not fishing-worthy. Great food at Captain Groovy's, Surf Rider, and Franco's by the Bay (Italian). About a half hour to Virginia Beach -- glad we went to check it out, but a bit crowded for our taste. This would be fabulous for a family reunion or folks looking for a quiet, laid back, enjoy nature vacation. Host was very attentive and accomodating!

We stayed for a week and felt like home ! The house was beautiful .. had enough space for all Of us and enjoyed the amazing back yard.. next time we plan a vaca near VA we will be back !!!

The house was gorgeous..clean, nicely decorated and well stocked.

Would highly recommend staying at this property. Shirt walk ti the beach, which was never crowded. Our favorite spot at the house was sitting on the covered deck. Kitchen was nicely stocked, but be sure to take sugar, foil/plastic wrap and ziplock bags. Very clean, comfortable and plenty of space to spread out.

Spotless home with many amenities

Lovely, well-equipped home with many extras. Beautiful backyard (yard games provided) in addition to seating area and table on the large deck. Home was very clean and everything seemed new. Many personal touches and everything needed in kitchen etc as this is the owners actual home, not just a rental. Extras like kayaks, beach towels/chairs, and bikes a big plus. Easier to use the kayaks if you have a vehicle in which you can transport to beach or creek kayak launch. Driveway is large enough for truck and boat. We like being on the Bay where it is a little quieter. Location is residential. Great for us and exactly as described. Note 10 am check-out time as earlier than some rentals.

Beautiful Home

We loved this place, and it was apparent that the owners did too, because the home was meticulously cared for, and had all the amenities you would want for a beach house - kayaks, beach chairs, grill, etc.

Exactly as described! 5++

This rental was exactly as described. Clean, new, well equipped. We were a family of grandparents and a young family. The house was equipped for a toddler, complete with a pack n play and high chair. Plenty of seating room for the tv area and the back porch and the large back yard were ever so helpful. The bedrooms are generous. The beach is a 1.5 block away, so we loaded up the car and kids , drove down and unloaded chairs and bags. Then simply went back and parked, and others walked up. A very quiet and empty beach. We will be back next year. Exactly as described.

Very nice new build.

Nice new home. Our group of 8 had plenty of room. Well equipped and neat. Short walk to the beach, however no sidewalks. Not a busy street. Beach was not crowded, and calm.

Perfect Beach Vacation Spot

This property was exactly as stated. Very clean, large enough house to accommodate grandparents and our son's young family. The house was ready for a toddler and a 4 year old., with a large fenced in back yard and covered porch. Only 1.5 block walk to the beach, an extremely quiet and empty beach area, which is what we wanted for the grandkids first beach experience. The house was well stocked, we prepared several meals in and plenty of restaurants for take out or dining in. We will be back.

Perfect vacation rental - 5++

Thanks so much to the owners of this Chesapeake Beach vacation rental. Everything was exactly as stated. The house easily accommodated the grandparents and a young family. Plenty of seating area, wonderful large table , and everything for making a few meals. The house is 1.5 blocks from the beach access. There are chairs and towels for those who cannot bring those items with them. New washer and dryer ( better than my home appliances). I told they owners.... we are never going home! The owners periodically checked in to make certain we had everything we needed. The large backyard was fun with little ones, and a great covered porch. We feel this will be our rental of choice for the next several years. Plenty of restaurant options around for dining or takeout. Easy access off of Rt 64.
