These beautiful units are aptly named Home Away From Home units 1 and 2!

This is a 2 floor rental with 2 units that are rented together. Both are 2 bedroom and 2 bathroom. Perfect for a vacation getaway for a large family! Both units feature the comforts of home and have full sized kitchens and living spaces. Less than a block from the beach and having a beach access point right down the road this location cannot be beat!
There is one queen size bed in one bedroom, one queen size bed in the second bedroom, a queen and 2 twin beds in the third and in the fourth there is 2 full size beds!

Home Away From Home 1 (The ground level) has a front porch AND a convenient side porch for lounging and enjoying the beautiful beach weather. It has a full sized kitchen, (no dishwasher) and 2 full bathrooms. Enjoy the smart television and the free WiFi!

Home Away From Home 2 (The top level) has a full sized kitchen and living room. It also has a washing machine, dryer, and dishwasher to make your vacation that much easier! This unit also features smart tv's so you have access to your favorite streaming services as well as free WiFi!

We rent to families and adults over the age of 25 only.
This unit has 2 driveways on either side of the building that can each fit one car. There is 1 space available for additional parking in the dirt parking area beside the pink cottage.
No trailers permitted at this property.
The downstairs unit does not have a dishwasher or washer/dryer, but the upstairs does!
This unit uses Smart TV's.
PLEASE DO NOT REMOVE THE BEDDING, DISHWARE, OR ITEMS FROM THE ORIGINAL UNITS.

Southern Coast Vacations is a full-service rental company and want to make sure you are as happy as possible with your vacation. If you experience any issues at all during your stay, please call us! 9 out of 10 times we are able resolve your issue over the phone within minutes by directing you to back up supplies, instructions, etc. If not, we are happy to send someone to assist you in person.

Although homes are often equipped with some non-perishable food items, such as sugar, coffee, and spices, we cannot guarantee they will be there. Guests are supplied with a starter set of paper products. Each rental will have 1 roll of toilet tissue per bathroom and 1 paper towel roll in the kitchen. Please come prepared with your own soaps or other needed toiletries such as dish detergent or laundry detergent. Please bring any blankets or towels you plan on using outside (pool or beach).

Guests should bring their own toiletries, we supply a starter set of toiletries. Per the linen package that is already included, we will provide 1 set of towels per guest and sheets for each bed. Most properties have a washer/dryer or a coin operated facility. Please bring any blankets or towels you plan on using outside (pool or beach).

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Rental was very cute and perfect for our group. For the hefty cleaning fee I expected it to be clean. There was sand and trash under furniture and candy wrappers stuffed in the sofa.

July 2022 Vacation

The location is great! Very short walk to the beach. There needs to be nightstands on both sides of the bed (two people have c-paps in the same room) which were difficult to connect due to shortage of outlets and nightstands. They also had hearing aids that needed to be charged at night. There was a hole in the ceiling in the downstairs kitchen, the water was not hooked up in the icemaker in the downstairs unit. The strip that divided the downstairs kitchen from the sitting area was raised and was a tripping hazard. In the large bathroom downstairs a box of kleenex tissues was holding the wall mirror up and the whole faucet turned when you turned on the hot water. We were locked out of the downstairs unit for 2 hours waiting for the after hours people to come and let us in. There was a code lock which did not work, plus we had keys and the keys would not turn to open the lock. We had people that could not walk the stairs to the upstairs unit. There are smart tv's in the units so there was no local channels to watch.

Dirty and lack of kitchen items

We luckily had both floors rented and the downstairs door lock is a nuisance. Worked on and off during the entire stay and the management company replaced the batteries and it still wouldn’t work. Downstairs rug in the living room was so gross we rolled it up and there were cockroaches around we fought the entire stay. The garbage cans were full when we got there. Upstairs was cleaner but there wasn’t a spatula or decent size cooking pans/no collie sheet and just not typical of our experience with VRBO. Two positives was outdoor shower and close walk even though you have to cross ocean blvd but had to be careful not to get hit by a car. Last but not least, a paving company with big tar trucks stayed parked out front running engines and the tar smell filled the house. 😩

Great Family Vacation

So much fun with the family! So much to do, the property was perfect and the beach was delightful. Lots of fun in the sun. We made a list of things to do and ran out of time. We will be back!
