A decent property at a location near the beach. A couple minor speed bumps. First, Arrived at community gate and security guard advised he had not received any info about us...was nice enough to issue a temporary pass. It was resolved promptly. Second, Main in Family room TV did not operate during our stay, but we were busy outside the condo most of the time. Overall we rate our experience at 4 stars, of 5.

It was pretty good.

Place was what we needed. It wasn't luxury by any means, but with 2 kids, that was kind of a relief. It had pretty much everything we needed for the stay. Of course, this isn't a hotel, so we did provide our own laundry detergent. But they also provided us with shampoo and conditioner, dish soap and dish washer detergent etc. There was something wonky with the TV but we didn't really need it and i let the person in charge know about it. The space is quite quiet. The pools weren't super overrun with people and it was very clean. Nice hot tub. Very safe area being a gated community. All in all our stay was great. It started to feel a bit like home in the end.

Nice, clean unit - charming and convenient. 5 min walk to the beach. A really nice complex with 2 pools and multiple tennis courts, enjoyed all the mature trees with spanish moss. Met our needs very well.

Condo Get Away

Good location. Easy access to the beach. Good value for the money.The interior is nice enough. We had to fix the door knob since it was practically falling off. Cobwebs in the ceiling corners and there was sandy grit on all the floors. I will be sure to bring a Swiffer on the next trip.

Barely Acceptable...

There's a difference between simple and cheap. This place was cheap in that it just didn't provide what was needed for a restful, enjoyable stay. Only one roll of toilet paper was provided, no extra trash bags, no laundry detergent, no extra dishwasher tablets, nothing. It made for a frustrating stay realizing that at every turn I was going to need to make another run to the store to get a simple amenity that should have been provided. There were numerous outlets that wouldn't work. The ceiling fans were so loud and rickety that they were unusable. No beach chairs, toys or towels were provided.Most egregious was that there were no extra sheets provided for the pullout couch. The extra linens were stuffed in the closet and just looked and felt dirt. That's just unacceptable. Cleanliness was acceptable, but just barely - one of the "clean" towels was not usable. There's a wasp nest on the porch, so that made it less than ideal to use that. The beds were uncomfortable and the blinds in the master bedroom were so cheap that when the sun came up, it was like they weren't there. Couch felt dirty and was uncomfortable to sit on. No luggage racks provided. Only one car pass was provided. It just seemed like the owners tried to take shortcuts at every single turn. I would not recommend staying here unless a bare level of upgrades were made.

Absolutely do not stay here

We arrived at property and batteries on door was dead so couldnā€™t enter. Took over an hour for property management company to contact owner. Owner was aware of the battery issue and learned that place hadnā€™t even been cleaned for check in. They move us to another unit owner had on same property. We walk in and beds arenā€™t made, there are no towels to shower, there were grime rings on one toilet, the other toilet was broken and woouldnt even flush. We were told toilet would be fixed next day and 4 day trip toilet was never fixed. The dishes were dirty in the cabinet so had been put up dirty. There are so many nice propertyā€™s on the island, do yourself a favor and stay somewhere else.

Hot in Hilton Head

Checked in to find no working AC in unit. Was told it might be due to recent storm, but all other units were working. Also found the air handler return to be very dirty and areas of mold around several vents. This could not have been due to the storm. I have photos if someone would like them.

It was okay

The condo was okay. Nothing terribly wrong with it but it just wasn't great. The kitchen was definitely not fully stocked - we had to buy baggies, napkins, aluminum foil, toilet paper and laundry soap. The only thing other than some pots and pans and silverware were salt and pepper shakers. I was very surprised that a beach rental would not supply beach towels! All four of us had to buy beach towels and then try to cram them into our already full suitcases to take home! The beach chairs should be replaced - they were very rusty and pretty heavy to be carrying down the stairs and then on the 15 minute walk to the beach. We had a fun trip, but I would pick another place to rent if we ever return to Hilton Head Island.

Clean but dingy

The place was as clean as it possibly couldā€™ve been, yet it still had a mildew smell. The bed was not very comfortable. It is a very basic unit. There was not many toiletries or general kitchen supplies. No coffee maker, only a keurig that looks like itā€™s seen better days. It is on the second floor.

Good communication with property manager but had a few issues with condo not having been cleaned and no beach wagon available. The property manager did refund us the cleaning fee and let us use her personal wagon.

Great location!

The location was great with easy access to walk to the beach and sidewalks the whole way! It was great to have pools on the property and as added bonus was the corn hole and ping pong table in the clubhouse. The space was clean and cozy. Loved having two bathrooms! We experienced the neighbors being quiet. Will definitely keep this in mind if I decide to return to Hilton Head!

We had a great stay at this property. It was a little older than we expected, but that didnā€™t affect our stay much. We went down for the weekend just to get away and it was the perfect location!

E1 Folly Field

This was our second time staying in this exact condo. We were very pleased with it the first time however this is what we noticed this timeā€¦. we didnā€™t get to the condo until 9pm and our bed was not made; the floors were dirty. We contacted the person our email said to contact and she sent someone to fix our bed and mop the floors however before she got there we found some sheets to make it. During our stay other things we noticed; the mattress is terrible we didnā€™t sleep well; the ceiling fans are dirty, it has a moldy smell, we dropped something under the bed and it was filthy under the bed, the blankets that was on our bed was what the person before had used iā€™m not sure it had been washed. We and every person that rents this unit are charged a cleaning fee I would think someone would make sure itā€™s being cleaned. Also, the first time we stayed we were given a parking pass to put on our review mirror. This time it seemed the security team could not get on the same page when we first got there they told us to fill out a paper and theyā€™d get us a pass for our rearview mirror that never happened they kept acting like didnā€™t know who we were and making us show proof of who we were and kept giving us a temporary pass. And one night there wasnā€™t a guard to let us in we called him (this was like @ 8:30 not even late) and he buzzed us in.
