If you are looking for a long weekend or a full week getaway "up north" with your family or friends, don't miss out on this cozy cabin that truly has it all. This is a year-round cabin and perfect for all seasons. Come to enjoy the fall colors and nearby hiking trails; hot summer days swimming at the sand bar, great fishing right off the dock. Located just 10 miles SE of Brainerd on Upper South Long Lake, this 2 bedroom, 1 bathroom cabin has a fully equipped kitchen, heated bathroom floor, sunroom with large farm table for family dinners, outdoor hammock, deck, firepit, wide expansive yard with level elevation, 130 feet of lakeshore and a sandy beach area for the kids. The cabin also comes with an easy to access dock in the summer and kayak. We have enjoyed everything this beautiful lake has to offer for over 30 years and now have the opportunity to share the joy with others. We take great pride in the lake, our home and yard and hope to find others who do as well!

Glad we chose this place for our Brainerd vacation!

Really enjoyed our week at this cabin. Large flat backyard was great for yard games. Plenty of bass to be caught right from the dock. Lake was never crowded which was great for tubing & taking the kayaks out. Cabin was clean, well stocked and spacious for our family of six.

Relaxing gateway

Property was perfect for our needs. House was clean, laid out nicely and had the cabin feel we were looking for. Loved the porch with large table great for games/puzzles. We spent most of our time by the water fishing, reading, enjoying a fire and watching the beautiful sunsets. Plenty of fish to be caught just right off the dock. Nice flat grassy area between house and lake would be great for games. We would definitely stay here again.

Amazing

Clean, private with quite neighbors, Excellent fishing, beautiful sunsets, nice level groomed yard, roomy cabin with comfortable beds, air conditioning, TV and WiFi for when you’ve had enough sun. Nice rural area - short drive to brainerd. I’ve rented cabins all over northern MN and WI And this is best by far. Will definitely return.

Wonderful Experience!

This was our first time using VRBO. Our family was hesitant at first, but the property owners were great and we loved the experience. The cabin was a perfect fit and our kids loved the everything the property had to offer. The area was easy to get to, yet had a secluded feeling for privacy. The lake was great for a family and very calm. The fish were so active in the evening - our son actually caught some sunnies just hanging the net over the side of the boat. Would highly recommend and the safari zoo was super fun as well!

A Gathering Place

I grew up in Brainerd but now live in DC. When I bring my family to Brainerd to visit my extended family we rent a cabin on a lake and we rent a boat too. With that in mind, I look for cabins that have a large eating/game area. This cabin has a nice and comfortable side porch/addition that sat 8-10 people. We also need a flat yard between the home and the lake access. This place was perfect for that. Made it easy for my less mobile family members. The view out to the lake was nice and there was enough room on the dock to tether a 26’ pontoon on. One note is that there is extensive weeds around the dock. I wouldn’t recommend this for swimming at the dock but there is an area on the left side of the property that you could wade up to your knees before you hit the weeds. It’s at the beach area in the listing photo. It was myself and my four sons ranging in ages 12-16. We would recommend the cabin and it was only about 15 minutes from Brainerd.

Fell back in love with Minnesota

When I was growing up, my parents used to take us to Woman Lake in Minnesota every summer, even though we lived in Philadelphia. I had fond memories of our vacation. I now live in Texas and after 40+ days over 100 degrees, I suggested to my wife, who was born and raised in Texas, that we should go to Minnesota. It was better than I thought. The house and lake front are very scenic. Definitely will return back to Minnesota in the summertime.

Beautiful lake experience!

Loved the home—comfortable and had all we needed—including a beautiful deck to have morning coffee and meals! Loved the massive green space for kids to play and fire pit for bonfires. Dock was great for fishing and the kids loved having their own little sandy beach to play and swim. Also enjoyed the kayaks—lake was serene in the evenings and perfect for kayaking! An absolutely wonderful week up north—we will be back!

Great cabin!

We rented for 5 nights and it was great. Cabin was clean and well stocked. Loved the built in bumpers on the dock for tying up my boat. Swimming area is very nice with gradual slope and minimal weeds - mainly sand with some gravel/rocks. Loved our time here!

Lovely Stay!

We really enjoyed our stay. The flat lot was great for the kids to play, and they loved the sandy beach area for building sand castles, which was nicely shaded. The kayaks were fun to have also. We enjoyed kayaking to the sand bar area and doing a little exploring. The cabin furnishings had been nicely updated since the posted pictures. Everything was very comfortable, and there was plenty of space for us to spread out. Brad, the owner, was easy to communicate with. Thanks for sharing your lake home!

Great family vacation

Our family of 5 had a great week! My husband and I worked mornings (internet connection was strong enough for 2 laptops & 3 devices) and played, fished, boated in the afternoons. Our kids loved the fishing off the dock. House was clean, cute, and just the right size for us.

Great Get-a-way!!

The property was clean and perfect for our family get-a-way. The lake has good fishing -- BIG fish! Caught our biggest Walleye ever and several big Bass. The property is everything as it is described and was a great home away from home. Owners were awesome to deal with and we appreciated feeling so welcome.
