Enjoy the panoramic sound front views that this home has to offer right off the back deck! You will find the outdoor pool area a special oasis with breathtaking views of the sound. The well-appointed kitchen, with new custom granite counter tops and brand new appliances, will make meal times a pleasure. All new flooring, completely renovated bathrooms, new light fixtures and a fresh coat of paint throughout will only add to your experience. The pool area is also fully appointed with a hot tub, dining table, lounge chairs and a picnic table. You can also relax in the rocking chairs on the upper deck and enjoy the views of the sound. Go crabbing and fishing off the private pier with gazebo. Free private beach access with community parking.

Well nice stay

Very nice stay, but the grill could use a good update. The house was extremely cleaned and equipped with all the essentials.

Wonderful week in Duck

This property was wonderful and very well-maintained. Two families of four stayed for the week and had plenty of room. The property management group was responsive and helpful with our questions. The pool and hot tub were a great escape from hot beach days, and the view of the bay was incredible at sunset. I highly recommend this property. We would definitely stay here again.

First time on the Sound

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This was our first time on the Sound side, we usually stay ocean front. The house was beautiful, the pool and hot tub were wonderful, but being able to put our kayaks in from the dock was my favorite thing. The weather was very chilly for June so we didn’t get much use out of the pool, but our family of 8 had such a great time, I wish we had stayed for two weeks.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This was our second stay at Coastal Distancing, the first time staying here in Spring. We had a wonderful week and great weather. Watching the nesting Ospreys by the pier was an unexpected bonus. The home was very clean and comfortable as we remembered from our previous stay in the Fall. Coastal Distancing has quickly became our home away from home in Duck. Beach Realty makes the rental transaction super easy and the early check-in was an added bonus that was truly appreciated. We plan to be back in the Fall.Thanks again Beach Realty staff.

Best of Both Worlds at Coastal Distancing

It was a short walk to the beach and then we would come home and spend our afternoon in the relaxing pool overlooking the sound. You can NOT beat the views. Sunsets from the back deck are amazing. The private dock and gazebo at the end was so beautiful to sit in and relax on the sound. The house was stocked with everything we needed. Beds were comfy and the bathrooms were beautiful. Beach Realty responded to all our concerns quickly. They were so helpful leading up to the vacation and during our stay. It stormed one night where debris got in the pool. We texted them, went out for a little bit and by the time we got back the pool was clean and beautiful. It was taken care of so quickly. We were impressed. I would definitely stay at Coastal Distancing again and would not hesitate to rent from Beach Realty in the future. We miss it already and are planning our anxiously planning on our next trip. Duck is such a beautiful town, the house is a quick drive to town or drive up to Corolla. Sunset Bar and Grille in Duck was one of our favorite meals and of course Duck Donuts! Can’t wait to come back!

Black mold

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was more than happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: A few things I’d like to mention. This house is on the sound side of duck, you can’t really walk anywhere. Which is fine. You have a hot tub, a pool, a beautiful sound view, etc. We had the most amazing sunsets. The house itself really needs some maintenance. There is black mold in the upstairs bathroom, and the master bedroom. There is also black mold in the living room by the door. I understand it’s the beach, but I don’t expect to be in a space that just sold during the summer, that clearly hasn’t been even visited by the buyers. There are so many decks! That you aren’t able to enjoy because they all are covered in spiders, spider webs, cob webs, moths, you name it. Inside is updated which is truly the only good part besides the view. If it’s too windy (35mph) the entire house shakes, fine. But it doesn’t stop shaking. The beds, the toilets, the couch, everything shakes with it. Also to note: - the trash cans were filled with brush when we tried to put our trash in them, the one singular trash bag we had was hanging out. - There is BLACK mold. Be careful! - There is no railing to the sound side deck going on the water, and it’s not the best quality. BE CAREFUL! We rent a house twice a year in the outer banks, from corolla to hatteras, I don’t think we will be back to this one.

Coastal Distancing

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We enjoyed our time in Duck. Our group included 6 adults, aged 20-87. When we got to the house, cleaners pulled in behind us to “ re-clean” the bedrooms. We noticed many hairs throughout the house after they left. The baseboards all could use a thorough cleaning. The pool area, surrounded by sand and dirt, was constantly dirty. We never could get all the sand out of the pool. We had a big storm on Monday that blew a ton of sand and dirt into the pool and asked the maintenance team to come out to fix the problem. They told us they would be out on Wednesday or Thursday. When we complained, they did send someone out on Tuesday. The pool guy was great and he said that until someone surrounds the pool with a solid surface they will always have dirt in that pool. Check out was easy

Great Location, Thoughtful Updates, Incredible Views

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had a wonderful stay with our two young children for spring break. The house has been recently updated with high-quality finishes and furnishings, and a lot of thought has been put into the guest experience - labels on switches, a well-stocked kitchen, instructions on appliances, etc. The location is perfect - close to everything in Duck and Sanderling, but surprisingly quiet. A March OBX visit is always a gamble with the weather, but the hot tub and the beautiful sound views from inside the house really took the edge off the cold, windy weather. We ran into one maintenance issue and were impressed that the owner provided a direct point of contact and was very responsive, as was Beach Realty. This house was a great find!

They even called early (1:30pm) to let us know the home was ready for our arrival. Overall highly recommend the home and the rental company. The home is beautiful and recently update. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Our family of 6 had a wonderful vacation at Coastal distancing. The location is awesome and being able to watch sunsets from the upper deck was great! The pool was perfect and being able to fish right off the dock was a nice surprise. The house was clean when we arrived both inside and out. I do wish they would have some rugs throughout the house since sand, wet bathing suits, and towels quickly made a mess of the floors (also need hooks inside to hang wet stuff). We did have several maintenance issues which Beach realty immediately responded to and corrected when possible. Overall we loved our week at Coastal Distancing and would recommend this property to others!
