This rustic, ocean front home north of Seal Rock provides an incredible location in a quiet neighborhood and near the beach. You will be dreaming about this three bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and its wonderful ocean views from the outside in. With beach access only 2 blocks away, you will fall in love with Sandalwood!

The location and view are awesome. We did find an open window with no screen, towels in the dryer and coffee grinds in the coffee pot upon arrival.

The property is dated but was fine for our purposes. We used it as a home base for visiting our daughter who’s living in Oregon temporarily. Loved walking on the beach where we saw bald eagles in the trees. Visited sights up and down the coast.

Unit was very disappointing. Deferred maintenance is evident upon entry. Broken window shades, electrical outlets that will not hold an electrical plug in charge chord, no dishwasher, weeds actually growing in the windowsills, window moldings that need to be repainted, poor quality kitchen towels, no dish rags, and the list goes on. This unit does not live up to standards.

The view from the living room was outstanding. The location of the property was perfect, close to Waldport and Newport. The home was clean and comfortable.

The pictures of the rental on the website were very old and made the property look like it was in better condition than it actually was. The furniture was incredibly worn and extremely uncomfortable. The linens and towels were old. The views from the living room and kitchen were incredible but the windows were dirty and a half dead tree blocked part of the view. The patio had to be reached by going though the garage and the bushes surrounding the patio were much higher than pictured on the website. The toilets were awful. Not only were they very low but there was a trick to getting both of them to flush. They needed to be updated. There was not a bathroom on the bottom level where the two main bedrooms were located. Having to navigate a stairway in the middle of the night was not pleasant. The TVs were old and although the WIFI was good, streaming kept failing. We were disappointed with the property but it didn't keep us from having a good trip

The House was rustic and homey, but we loved it. The view of the Ocean from the Kitchen, Dining area and Living Room was amazing. The kitchen was well appointed for breakfasts and dinners in.

Great older home with fantastic views of the Pacific. The kitchen had plenty of pots, pans, dishes. There is no dishwasher but, that did not bother us. I wish there was a Kuerig type coffee maker. We only stayed two nights and it was not worth it to buy a bag of ground coffee. I could have easily taken coffee pods home with me on the plane. The beds were comfortable. A box fan would have been nice. We really enjoyed our stay and would rent again if we are ever back in Oregon.

Walk right out of the house and onto the beach.

This charming small house is very comfortable and right on the beach. Enjoy a spectacular view from the house and deck, then walk right out onto the beach. The sunsets were amazing! This was our favorite property of our West Coast adventure.

Beach house

My sisters ,wife and I really enjoyed our long overdue trip to the coast. Great time for 4 old people.The house was exactly as described in photos and details. I hope we live long enough to do it again.

Great location

Enjoyed the stay. Property was a bit dated, but very clean and adequate. We did not like the fact that we could not have a few family guests during the day. We understand the concern about rave type parties, but there should be some vetting middle ground.

Gorgeous ocean views to an awesome beach (steep walk)! House needs big updates (ex carpet is horribly stained) and linens/kitchen appliances are very old/cheap but overall we had a great stay because of the lovely views and location. Afew things about the house/property management communication led to a lower rating however:- house is not well stocked (ex: no hand soap) - property management has no phone number to call, just a number to text although they were quick to reply but did not fix our issue (lock box was broken and they never fixed it during our stay or suggested an alternative)

Following your stay, we placed work orders to address the carpet concerns and are actively reviewing options for professional cleaning and replacement where needed. We’re also in the process of meeting with the homeowner to discuss updates to linens and kitchen appliances, as we agree these details play an important role in guest comfort and should better match the setting. Regarding the lock box, we sincerely apologize for the inconvenience during your stay. The issue has since been resolved, and the lock box has been repaired to ensure smoother arrivals moving forward. We’ve also reviewed our communication process to make sure alternative access solutions are offered immediately should an issue arise again. In addition, we’re working with our team to improve basic stocking items, such as hand soap, so future guests are better taken care of upon arrival. Thank you again for your thoughtful feedback—it truly helps us improve. We hope to welcome you back in the future and provide an even better experience next time

Visiting seal rock area

Clean and comfortable. Easy to find. Gorgeous view. Downstairs was a little cold ,an extra or heavier blanket could have helped Maybe there was information on beach access and I missed it but would have appreciated information on how to access trail to the beach as it looks like it is on private property (neighbor told us it isn’t)

Great stay

We were in town to visit family for my niece’s high school graduation. The house had a great variety of kitchen items stocked (probably best variety we have seen at places) and a wonderful amount of dishes to accommodate our group. My kids LOVED watching a vhs film! Kitchen view made dishes just fine! We did have ants while we were there just used the spray under sink and that helped.

This property is very dated, however it was very clean considering its age. Carpets had a few spots in them but in good condition. All woodwork needs to be refinished. Very few upgrades. Beds were very comfortable. Beach access is nice but it is a very steep trail. If you want new and 5 stars this isnt it but if you want quaint and cozy it is. We were fine with it and had a great time.

Relax

The property is in a good location but not access to the beach have to drive, in my personal opinion it needs an upgrade to make it look more attractive to the guests. But is fine beds are comfortable enough. The house has plenty of space to give you some privacy for a 4 adult it can accommodate like 10 people if you need it for big family or friends.
