Your support is appreciated as a small private family owner who lives on Maui instead of renting from a large management company.

Welcome to our 3 bedroom, 2 bath Cloud 9 Beach House right on the edge of Wailea. This property is extremely private with no other rentals, property manager or owners on property like several vacation homes on Maui. You are invited to stay in this lovely fully renovated legal rental which is just a short walk to the beach.

You will immediately feel at home in the beautiful tropical gardens, outdoor dining space with led lighting and open kitchen/dining room for the entire family to gather. The master bedroom has a comfy king bed with soft sheets, stunning bathroom with skylight and it's own small patio with a bistro table. The second bedroom is poolside with a queen bed and the third bedroom has two twins that can also be converted into king bed if desired. You'll be surprised at some of the ocean views as you explore this gem with either a view of the pool or ocean from each bedroom. This home is a perfect size for families or friends wanting vacation time together with private pool located less than 5 min from several beaches, shops and dining.

Keawakapu, a beautiful long white sand beach, is a few minutes walk away or if you prefer, lounge poolside in the backyard or read a book in the hammock chair under the front mango tree. Central A/C, large flat screen TV's in every room and all new remodeled modern kitchen are just a few of the many features of this home.

This is a legal, county permitted short term rental home - Permit #STKM 2016/0009.

This house was located central to all the things we planned for our trip. Shopping and food was close and we were close to the airport. We appreciated the ability to walk to the beach when someone else had the car, and the beautiful sunsets from the backyard. The garage was loaded with everything we needed for the beach(chairs, towels, umbrellas, coolers).We are a family of 5 adults and 1 teen and we all felt comfortable in our sleeping and bathing areas. During the evening it did feel a bit warm at the max temperature controlled setting and humid for sleeping at night(we like it cool, but we also live in Chicago:), but there were ceiling and floor fans we used the entire trip which helped. The kitchen was a good size for 6 to eat and socialize, and all we had to buy for cleaning and eating was a small package of paper products for the week. The house and yard was well maintained and exactly like the picture. The pool was cooler because it was winter, but it was clean and refreshing on the sunny hot days(mostly shaded in the backyard with a small area of sun that peaks through mid day)Tamara was available and responded to us even during the holiday week when we had a question. Highly recommend. Mahalo!

Our stay was absolutely amazing! The property was beautiful, comfortable, and filled with thoughtful details. It’s in a convenient location while still being tucked away in a quiet neighborhood, which made it feel peaceful and relaxing. Tamara was wonderful to communicate with—she responded quickly, was very welcoming, and clearly puts care into making her guests feel at home. She’s thought of everything you might need, including plenty of essentials for a perfect day at the beach. We would definitely recommend this place and would love to stay here again if we return to Maui!

House was exactly as advertised - very clean, pool was great to soak in when we wanted a break from the beach, nice location a short drive from restaurants and shops, and plenty of room for the three adults and three kids in our group. Beach house was very clean. Check-in was simple. Tamara provided clear instructions for check-in/out and was just an email or text away if we needed anything. The outdoor area is beautiful with plenty of seating areas and a pool surrounded by lush greenery and flowers. Good location that was just a short walk or drive to the beach. Tamara provided all the beach gear you will need (chairs, umbrella, snorkel sets, wagon, etc).

Loved everything about this home. Close to the beach, quick drives to grocery stores, market and gas station. Stayed with a family of 4 (adult kids) and everyone appreciated their own room although my daughter couldHave easily slept outdoors on the hammock during our stay.

Birthday Stay

Great place for my wife and I and our two daughters families, including one toddler. Very comfortable accommodations and the pool was great. The hill down to the beach wasn’t bad, but the parking lot at the bottom was a better choice, especially when carting everything for a two year old. Overall a great stay!

Great property with perfect location, very relaxing. It was a short driving distance to beaches, restaurants, shops- less than five minutes. Pool is not heated but warms up in the afternoon (during winter).

Family vacation

Very cute! Family vacation with teens & young adult children. Property was perfect for what we needed, location was within walking distance of beach but it is uphill on the way back home:) Tamara was very quick to respond to any questions/concerns. Would stay again.

Family getaway

This is one of the best houses we have rented on vacation. Tamara has this property perfect. It’s right down the street from the beach & we so enjoyed the pool in the back yard. THE best home and hosts EVER

Tamara Farwig and her husband were wonderful. I can't way enough about our stay. We stayed for 7 days and wish it was more The home was more beautiful in person. BTW there is a mango tree in the front yard and a lime bush for your mojitos! The hosts replied to any question immediately. They had all you needed for a great stay including sun screen! The neighborhood is very quiet and close to everything. If you are looking for a great stay in Maui THIS is it! Loved loved loved our stay an would stay again. There is a review about a centipede bite and sorry that happened to that guest --that had me worried but didn't see any bugs other than a harmless gecko and butterflies. No ants --but remember you are on an island and must not leave food out. The air conditioned takes a few minutes to cool the home and I am subject to hot flashes and sleep like a baby in the perfect temperature. The pool is perfect temperature and very private. the owners have games. puzzles, and left a basked of snacks. my only complaint is there is no full length mirror and I was getting ready for my wedding and that would be helpful and also the grill needs a cleaning. Those are tiny changes---it was a dream come true! get a mirror at walmart!

Home in Paradise

Our family loved this house. It was so spacious, the yard and the pool were a hit to sit and chat while the kids enjoyed the pool to refresh after long days at the beach. We used all the gadgets, beach towels, chairs, beach umbrella, toys- the foosball table was a hit, with tournaments day and night! The kitchen was fully stacked, we used it every day. The open kitchen and living room layout allowed all 7 of us to gather around the island and hang out. Walking to the beach with our family was easy—a prime location with shops and restaurants nearby. We will return and highly recommend it!

Fantastic family stay at Cloud9!

This is one of those special properties that makes the trip easy and memorable for all. We loved the pool, especially when the sun was out the kids wanted to be there all the time. Great kitchen, yard is fun to explore for little ones (mango tree, lots of lizards), and foosball in the garage a great added touch. Tamara was a great host and allowed us to check in early afternoon since our flight was early. Overall incredible experience and we hope to return very soon!

Dreamy Maui stay

We loved it here! Stayed with our 9yo and 2yo and grandparents and this worked well for us all. The pool was warmer than we expected being unheated and the kids were obsessed. Location was absolutely perfect t and easy for beaching and eating and visiting shops. Beds were comfy, we had everything we needed. Will hope to stay again!

Love the location!

Six of us stayed one week, including a two year old and five year old. The outdoor shower was used every day when returning from the beach by everyone. The pool was just wonderful. The pool water is chilly in January but we loved it and swam every afternoon. We appreciated the pack-n-play, flotation devices for kids, and beach toys. We would definitely stay here again. We do not want to leave.

Two weeks in Kihei

We loved staying here! We found the house to be clean and well-stocked. The yard was especially amazing with lots of space to lounge and eat. The location was fantastic and only a short walk or drive away to great beaches. Steve was extremely easy to get in touch with and gave very clear instructions on how to check in. We would be happy to stay here again.

First time in Maui

We stayed in Cloud 9 Beach House for our first visit to Maui. The house was perfect for our family traveling with a two year old. The pool and close proximity to the beach were perfect. The beds were comfortable too. Great outdoor space to sit for sunrise and sunset.

Perfect family fun

We loved the pool and spent a lot of time in it. Great view of ocean from yard. Enjoyed using outdoor furniture!! There were many pool and beach toys plus beach towels to use. Comfortable setting for a family and we would book it again.

Tamara has lived on Maui since 1996 and her two children were born and raised here. She has roots in Canada where she grew up (Jasper, Alberta) and most of her family still reside. Her son is finishing a degree in computer science at UBCO and her daughter attends Parson's Paris studying fashion design. Tamara owns and manages a permitted rental home (Cloud 9 Beach House) as well as a one bedroom and a studio condo in Wailea. She lives five minutes from her properties and takes great care to ensure her guests are happy and have all they need for a stress free Maui vacation.
