A-Frame of Mind is your perfect oceanside beach house! This unique home is conveniently located in the Wimble Shores neighborhood of Salvo, you are less than 500 feet from community beach access, yet convenient to the ice cream shop, shopping, and dining ā€”this 3-bedroom, 2-bathroom house is perfect for your entire group. The fun does not stop after a day at the beach; enjoy the private solar-heated pool, hot tub, or unwind on one of the sundecks.

Ground Level: Ground Level Amenities include a private solar-heated pool, a hot tub, a gas grill, an outdoor shower, ample seating, and a driveway that accommodates up to 3 vehicles.

Mid Level: As you enter the home, you are greeted by a trendy open living area. The tastefully updated kitchen is equipped with stainless appliances, granite countertops, a breakfast bar that seats 3, a dining area that seats 6, and all of the cookware you will need. The living area is furnished with comfortable seating, a TV, and plenty of games for the entire group. Located directly off the living area is bedroom #1, a Queen bedroom, and a full bathroom with a washer and dryer. Step outside and you will find a semi-covered deck with seating and access to the private solar-heated pool, hot tub, and picnic table.

Top Level: Ascend the spiral staircase to discover two additional bedrooms, a full bathroom, and a sundeck overlooking the marsh behind the home. Bedroom #2 is furnished with 2 Twin beds. Bedroom #3 is furnished with a Queen bed. Both bedrooms share access to a spacious full bathroom.

Extras: Private pool, hot tub, 1 TV, WiFi, sound system has auxiliary wireless Bluetooth connection, charcoal grill, board games, Keurig, air fryer, outside shower, covered deck, sun deck, deck furniture, and parking for 3 vehicles. No Smoking/Vaping. No Pets. Beds: 2 Queens, 2 Twins. Key Type: Keyless entry. Check-In Location: At the Property

PRIVATE POOL is open from April until mid-October

Linens and towels are provided all year. This home will provide sheets for all beds and the beds will be made except for sleep sofas, top bunks, and trundle beds in which case the sheets are provided. This home also provides 1 bath towel and 1 wash cloth per person the house sleeps, 2 hand towels per full bathroom, 1 hand towel per half bathroom, and a bath mat for each shower or tub.

Perfect for small family

We had a wonderful stay! The house was a perfect size for my twin boys and I! The pool area and hot tub were clean and well maintained. The interior of the house was also clean and had everything we needed! The upstairs can get a little warm, but I had brought an extra fan so that helped move air from the center of the upstairs to the bedrooms. The spiral staircase will be tricky for younger children, and luckily the outside deck stairs can be used to bring heavy bags to the upstairs bedrooms. The neighborhood is quiet, and it is a short walk to the beach. I highly recommend this property to small families or couples.

Surfer shack

Had a great time in this small A-Frame house. The location was perfect and the amenities so fun! Enjoyed the walks to the beach, the pool and the hot tub. It was well appointed except we couldā€™ve used more than one kitchen towel and a couple more bathroom towels. Thanks for the clean updated appliances and furniture. The kitchen chairs need some TLC as does a table in one of the bedrooms upstairs. The beds were very comfortable and appreciated the extra fans. Thereā€™s a few other things that could improve to make it perfect.The yard.collected water in spots making it swampy and muddy to walk through. We were pleasantly surprised that mosquitoes werenā€™t devouring us while enjoying the decks. The pool also needs a bit of attention. And finally the hot tub cover is falling apart, one of the screens is broken and the beach cart was poorly repaired with duck tape. We still used it and worked well. Itā€™s a great little house with an excellent location. We made some fun memories!!

Peaceful and fun getaway

We had such a wonderful and relaxing stay in this cute A-frame house. The pool and beach combo was perfect for our family. The rooms were clean and the kitchen has upgrades. Would definitely recommend staying here!

Family vacay

The house was perfect for us. The kids loved the upstairs (although it could get warm up there) and the renovated kitchen area had everything we needed. The pool was great to spend the day in or as a refresher after a day at the beach.

We had a wonderful stay! The house was clean and had everything we needed. The kids loved having the pool during the week. The owners were super responsive. Only recommendation would be to keep the upstairs bedroom doors open during the day as it can get warm.

Parenting teens and tweens brings its own share of challenges. And after a stressful couple of years, our family of four needed a vacation. Kim and Adamā€™s cottage not only gave us the opportunity to get away, it gave us the chance to get closer and reconnect as a family. The cottage is even nicer than the description. Kim and Adam could teach a master class in organizing small spacesā€”thereā€™s a place for everything you need or want, but we never felt cramped. The beach is a five minute walk (probably ten minutes if you have really little kids), and the pool is just the right size to splash around in and cool off. (We never used the hot tub, but think it would be great on a fall evening.) We highly recommend renting this cottage. After our first full day there, my husband looked at nearly fifteen-year-old son playing with his little sister and said, ā€œHey look! Itā€™s a smile. How long has it been since weā€™ve seen one of those?ā€

This property was amazing! The upgrades done to the kitchen were fabulous. My 10 year old son stated ā€œThis is better than home. ā€œ Everything that was listed on line was completely accurate. Short 5 to 10 minute walk to beach. Pool and Hot tub were a nice plus for the children! The beds and linens were clean and comfortable. Towels and washcloths provided were professionally cleaned. And as a mother the dishwasher, washer and dryer were a huge plus!! This ā€œcottageā€ as Kim called it provided us with more than we expected. Yes the spiral staircase is a little tricky but once you get the hang of it thereā€™s no problems! I would highly recommend this property to family and friends! Thanks so much for an Amazing vacation!

Fantastic cottage a stones throw to the beach with extra amenities (pool and covered hot tub) perfect for a family of 4-6. Clean and as advertised with all the bare necessities plus some extras. Would not hesitate to recommend if you are looking for a low key non-touristy place to hang and enjoy OBX. Fantastic escape.

Great vacation home for smaller family

This A-Frane home has a great pool area in the back. While our three year old was napping we took advantage of this outdoor space with our 10 year old. The hot tub is a nice feature but the outside temps were too warm to need it. Upstairs bedrooms were good in size, however you needed to keep the door open in the double twin room because the A/C unit was in the hallway. A minor issue but on hot evenings (which we had) it was obvious. The spiral staircase was challenging and difficult to navigate without a full railing. Overall we had a great week. This home is awesome for smaller families. The location is perfect with a short walk to the beach and a provided buggy mad it easy to get our chairs and other things to and from. There are two stores within walking (a short drive really) distance if you need something or just need to restock. Thanks to Kim and Adam for providing a place for our family to have a memorable vacation.

My family of 4 stayed at this property and it is a quaint, very nice property! The pool and hot tub were used a bunch! The location was amazing!! This area is very chill and relaxing! The property owners were amazing and VERY responsive in the minimal times we contacted them! Everything was great! We had a great vacation!

Family beach week

My family has been going to the outer banks for years. This was in our top two of favorite rentals. Extremely clean, convenient location and great amenities with the pool/hot tub. We will likely rent here again. Thank you for a great experience!

Small but adequate

House was smaller than we expected. Beds are only good for one person unless you dont mind crawling over each other. Needs some updating to the pool deck. We did enjoy our stay. This is not a negative review but an honest one. Communication was very friendly and quick responses.

Beautiful beach, great pool

Love the Hatteras beach setting and the swimming pool at the house. Beds were comfy and everything was clean inside - the pool was clean, too. The house is cool but some fixtures/furnishings need replacement. Homeowners tried to help with getting the tv/internet problem solved but lots of back and forth before it was handled.

Quiet and restful escape

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the property. We loved hanging out at the pool and the beach was a short walk. Itā€™s perfect for families and groups who want to have the option of beach time and pool time. It is important to note there are not a lot of food options nearby so this place is good if you plan to cook or grill and not eat out all the time. Other than that, itā€™s a great place for a quiet and restful escape from the world. Great for small kiddos and families. The hosts were very responsive and very timely in their responses which was very much appreciated.
